Even in 2021, if you have a bunch of mates that want to play a hilarious (and seriously competitive) driving game this is the one. The racing is amazing, there's a ton of cars to choose from starting from the 60's right through to 2011 and if you can get 4 or more players together then the Cat n Mouse mode is ridiculously fun. I've chalked up over 100 hours with this game playing it in chunks of an hour or so and they're always 60 minutes of laughter, intense racing and all made funnier if you're using VoIP (game supports it, or DIscord). One final thing, this game is (imho) a perfect fusion of realism and arcade style racing. Some will not like it so much because it's not far enough one way or the other for them. However, amongst my group of 7 friends that play there are diehard racing sim fans and casual racers and everyone loves it equally.

Amazing multiplayer; easily the best since COD4 and that's saying something! Very much enjoyed the single player, but did have some technical glitches on a very high-end rig (M.2 Samsung 970 drive, 8700k CPU and a 1080Ti GPU). Still, worth it because the game is so good. I can see why the game has been review bombed as the content is pretty hostile towards certain countries, but as a game in its own right it's very good indeed.

If you're friendless, don't give a low score but embrace the friendly community that play this game and play with them! If you have friends, there is no better co-op game that I can think of. Period. This game is insane. Every aspect of it is so well done that it's hard to think what could be better other than (perhaps) graphics given a small injection. It's 100% built around co-op and dominates in that respect.

This game is actually brilliant, but I don't think it got the love it deserved. Incredible control system, excellent throw-back to old skool 16-Bit dog fight games and great graphics and sound, too. My only criticism is that it's just too crazy in multiplayer. We had 4 players going bananas on there, but it gets a little too tough when there's a lot going on.

This game is absolutely brilliant as a multiplayer experience. The servers are often quiet which is a shame, but if there are players around it's loads of fun. If you have a group of mates that play it's even better! Co-op is tons of fun and really intense too. So the bottom line is that it's a very accomplished, multiplayer underwater FPS game. There's lots of game modes, but the standout one is the co-op, where you have to survive getting eaten for 15 minutes whilst killing as many sharks as you can. It's really tense, it's frantic and the graphics and sound are actually really good. As you're swimming around there are loads of really awesome little touches and the combination of you breathing, the limited visibility and the flippers, etc. really adds to the tension. There are quite a few maps to play on and you can customise your diver. The really funny mode is also when one of you plays as the Great White! You then have to lurk around and kill the other divers as they fight between themselves and hunt you down! Bottom line - this is a brilliant little indie game and I would recommend it to anyone that likes to play tense, competitive FPS games. However, the co-op mode also works brilliantly, although I do wish that you could have more than 2 players on that one.

This game is so bad it hurts. Issues ranging from the sound only working intermittently unless you have it on 50% volume or above to having absolutely zero sense of speed or excitement, MotoGP is a disgrace ****. Codemasters are king of the racing genre. I wish they'd picked this license up and run with it rather than this cowboy outfit! I fail to believe there were any play testers at all.

Put simply, MAX is the greatest strategy game of all time. It's a shame that more people are not aware of it, plus when it was released it was a little too complex for a lot of strategy gamers to bother with. I was lucky, as I was at university at the time so my house mates and I persevered with it and discovered the greatest game ever! Essentially you have a MASSIVE number of different air, sea, land and stealth units and an equally broad number of buildings to choose from. For a start this was revolutionary in 1996 because having air, sea, land and stealth (and having so many of them) was unheard of. Unlike any other strategy game I know, you can upgrade all these units (yes, ALL of them!) in an unlimited fashion, so your strategies can be infinitely varied. Want to concentrate on nothing but a missile boat with an absolutely ridiculous range? No problem? Or maybe you want the missiles on your fighter jets to be able to blow a hole in the side of anything. That is the beauty of MAX; infinite strategic and tactical options. The big bonus? There is an amazing team that maintain the reincarnation of MAX and it is called MAX Reloaded. An open-source remake of MAX, it is an amazing realisation of the game and works across all platforms. If you like strategy games (regardless of the type; TBS or RTS) and in particular if you have friends that do too, this is nothing better than this game.

I've been a fan of turn-based strategies (TBS) as a kid and this really is one of the best TBS' out there. Overseen by Julian Gollop himself (creator of XCom, Chaos, Rebelstar Raiders, etc ...), this game really stands out amongst a sea of mediocre games at the moment. I've put a huge amount of time into it and pretty much shunned all my other AAA titles for it. Build up a wizard and fight to the death against other wizards, or work co-operatively to bring down enemies. Each spell has a percentage chance and you can boost them if you collect mana points. Each wizard also has an alignment (Law, Chaos, etc) and you can manipulate this to favour your spells. Overall it will be the best money you ever spend as no two games are the same, there's great strategy and tactics and it has pretty much THE friendliest community of any game I've ever played. Brilliant stuff.

It's 2013 so you can get this game complete with the expansions for cheap. It needs the expansions (particularly tribes from the east) to make it a decent game, but it is a REALLy good version of HoMM after the disaster that was HoMM IV. I loved HoMM III and played it for hours, but this version has actually made me love the series again. I'm only writing this now as HoMM VI is utterly useless so they just can't quite get the formula right every time! Either way, I think that fans of fantasy games or (like me) fans of turn based strategy games will love this. It's got great graphics, awesome music and plenty of variety to keep you entertained.

There's three problems with this game. 1) It was released in Alpha stage at best but was touted as completed (pre-purchase with BETA access would have been better). 2) It's an indie game but uses the biggest commercial engine out there (UT3). I'm still unsure how I feel about that. 3) It's actually rubbish. I'm reluctantly giving it a 1 not a 0 as I did have a solo play game and flying around with a jetpack was interesting, but nothing more.
