The good: It was cheap on sale. The bad: First area is very easy. Right afterwards, the second area has a LOT more monsters including some which are really unbalanced (Caged minibosses not included) Progression is really, really slow, The ugly: Most monsters are melee type, and will run at you relentlessly once they detect you. Most player characters cannot run and shoot and both reloading AND aiming are slow - so you need to play slowly and pick the dumb monsters off one by one. Definitely more tedious than fun. Controls and general slowness / unresponsiveness are the main culprit though... Verdict: Should have avoided this on sale, one cannot get a refund for time spent playing. Do skip if you like roguelikes or roguelites.

Most depressive game I have ever encountered. The rating system actually fails to account for something like this, as this is more like an assault on the psychological health of the player than a game, it practically has negative value. An honest rating would be -5 as far as I am concerned since the amount of time I spent playing and actually finishing it was not the only amount of time I lost to it, it took some extra time to feel good again afterwards. Avoid even if someone offers you money to play it.

What makes this game so great is exemplified by the difficulty I'm having in writing this review because it is very difficult to know where to begin with, each part is equally great. The voice acting is amazing, game-play likewise. The concept of the game mechanics is original despite the genre and the story is rich, long and fulfilling. In addition, this is a surprisingly wholesome and positive game. The visual art is beautiful with a fine attention to detail. All in all, this was my game of the year.
