This game does a good job of building up suspense throughout the nights so that no one would see the plot twist coming at the end. The ending was sort of predictable for those who are very active in the horror franchise. The gameplay was okay - it's simple and easy to get the hang of (making boba drinks!). Though it did get a bit annoying a little while later because of the lack of action/horror elements exposed to the player, I did enjoy the dialogues from customers. The silly yet sometimes serious small talks definitely made the game more lively and enjoyable.
I personally loved it, even though they got rid of a lot of Leon's funny one-liners in the original game. Gameplay was great, but I can see why people would complain that it's more of a survival game than a horror game because there really isn't much that scares the audience (or at least myself). Just gore, nothing too scary that screams horror.
The gameplay dragged on a bit too much towards the end, but the beginning was good. I kind of got bored towards the end because of the amount of side quests needed to complete to get to one thing to another. Overall, it wasn't a bad game. Ethan Winters has my utmost respect as usual; the concept of what a true family is is well portrayed by the bosses (a "family" that's twisted) in comparison to Ethan Winters risking his own life try to save his daughter (what a real family truly is). His love for his daughter will always leave me sobbing after a simple monologue. A lot more horror than RE7. If you very much enjoy the newly added horror elements in the previous game, you'd like the horror elements in this one. Don't even get me started on the baby fight.
Personally I loved the game. Felt like I was going through a movie while playing it. The lore was pretty confusing at first; it took me a few plays until I fully understand what the story is actually talking about. It was amazing! The ending was a bit wonky, but overall the game was incredible. Completely mind-blowing.
I found this game pretty refreshing compared to the other 3D Mario games. I loved how each world has their own uniqueness to it - especially the mini side quests! There's so much you can do after you've completed a world, and the fact that you get to explore so many different things and interact with them to get moons is so fun. It kinda got annoying eventually for some levels and it's really difficult to get the moons needed to unlock something new. Regardless, I had a great time playing this.
