9/10 Tremendous bravery to do a black/white, and a silent movie in 21st century, in bluray. Innovative, inspirational, and mind-tickling, which are what this world needs most. Though the score is not fully matching to my standard, and the plotting can be better, can be more dramatic to the lead, especially the ending of his part. But nonetheless, good enough to score a 9/10.

Quite good! The effects were tremendous. Even so is the fight scene between Kong & Dinosaurs!!! Very compelling!!! But after that, it's borin'... Too much effort in tellin' the Kong-going-NY story instead of the interaction between the duo and the 'triangle'...

Was I watchin' the Disk 2 extra features? It's not even a movie. It's a goddamn interview, a goddamn 'feature disk' that doesn't have plot, doesn't have even 2.1 channel, subtitles, and doesn't even have a proper intro. Yes, it's a real Anna Wintour. So what? There was simply no heart in making this so-called movie.

First half of the movie was a 9.5... really like the theatric stuff... most of the songs and singings were good except some doesn't quite suit Cher's range and style; just by 2cents anyways. the love part was not done well at all... or maybe just doesn't suit the plot... and this account for the other half of the movie which I barely give it a 6... it's such a shame! :(

Stunning!!! Makes me wonder it's really workable!!! =D
It was the 2nd time I watched yet it still got me tense up & ****
I'm very surprised there was just one single background theme music for the entire 2.5-hour movie; makes it very boring :(
*btw, I like Marion Cotillard in this with that hair style very very much!!!
& oh **** i found out it was exactly her and almost exactly that hair when she appears in Midnight in Paris!!! lol

The sound is there, the concept is there, just din't have the right technology to make it look better back then. Compassion driven wisely, good quality of comedic elements. Don't like Johnny Depp's facial expression though.

Watched this at Nova, Lygon St, with 9th class sound. Though the soundtrack was not demanding and therefore Nova was able to reproduce this laid-back french-style fantasy that is intended and was capable of drawing me into the atmosphere. Storyline is somewhat linear so I did not have to think to figure out what was happening (watched afterwork) but just sit back and relax, even just for the visual. As for visual, benchmark is far surpassed that expected in terms of both decorative choice and cinematography. I did not expected it to be that great of a movie; thought it was just one of those weird movies for the minority with tastes. But it was!! This is one of the few movies that gets me into a lasting mood after the movie!!! =)

Love the action!!!
Soundtrack gets annoying towards the end of the movie 'cos they're all the same...
Story is pretty typical - lacks any surprise...
& it was written in a somewhat childish way, especially at the end...
it was really between 7 and 8
'cos i really liked the action, and the sound effect fuses with the action itself quite well...

Insanely dull, highly linear storyline (if there's even a storyline) that gives no surprise - i knew how it was going to end right at the start of the incident... And the protagonist claims he's an engineer in front of a real engineer that is me? With his various stupid, un-engineering acts? C'mon, a very very bad move. To invoke empathy & **** With its ****ty, 'incoherent' rock music soundtrack? i dun think so...
