Endzone: A World Apart
8
User Scorenik_balani

Endzone: A World Apart is a satisfying post-apocalyptic city builder that strikes a good balance between challenge and accessibility. The resource management keeps you on your toes without becoming overwhelming, and the gradual complexity feels well-paced.What sets it apart from similar titles is the narrative thread running through the gameplay — working towards building the beacon gives you a sense of purpose beyond just keeping your settlement alive. Exploration adds variety, and the skill trees provide enough depth to make progression feel rewarding.A solid, enjoyable entry in the genre that doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Love the idea of this game - survive a shipwreck, gather resources and craft items and improve your skill tree. Also an interesting story line to follow. However the resource management is too challenging - got to the second island and realised that I needed to build a brand new base (or make repeated trips back to the first) which is a chore so gave up.

It had a lot of promise with interesting trade mechanics and battles. However the convoy system and AI trading often didnt work well and had too many options to configure leading to very inefficient systems meaning the best way to make money is to manually and repeatedly go from town to town buying and selling. After a while this grind became to repetitive so gave up.

Played for an hour and a half. I enjoyed the fast pace action and premise of upgrades to improve your future runs. However the action is repetitive and once you die and restart you follow through the same bosses and rooms albeit slightly better armed. However the repetitive grind is why I've rated it 5/10 - needs more variety.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a big step up from the first game. It follows the storylines of the films and features Jeff Goldblum’s narration, which is always a pleasure to listen to. The gameplay feels more engaging, with a greater focus on balancing the park’s economy alongside dinosaur development. Unfortunately, the campaign doesn’t make full use of the game’s potential—battling dinosaurs or experimenting with genetic modification is never truly required, which leaves those mechanics feeling underused. Still, it’s an enjoyable experience, and I had a good 15 hours playing through all the campaign scenarios.

Amazing graphics and deep story and character development in a lovely rendered open world as you can expect from FF games. Sadly the combat mechanics are mediocre and the open world side quests are repetitive and offer little challenge and sadly don't progress the story. Additionally a lot of the items obtained in the course of the game seem to have little use. Could have been so much more engaging.

Started off very well as a 1st person shooter survival RPG. Having to scavenge resources in space, build tools, explore spaceships and build your base was an excellent premise. However chapter 4 involving excessive amounts of backtracking and searching was simply tedious. The developers even hinted at a fast-travel yet failed to include it as part of their humour. Well gave up after spending 45mins backtracking through the same spaceships and would not advise buying this game to anyone.

I loved Theme Hospital and also 2-point. Whilst I agree this game is much more realistic its enjoyment is lost in to much detail as well as frustratingly poor graphics, difficulty in placing objects and getting some objects to work (the hospital bed wont function without a bedside cabinet). In addition in manual mode there are an excessive number of tests on offer with no ability to rapidly choose common tests first. Quit after 10 hrs of play.

Sim building game where you build a park for dinosaurs based on the movie. The graphics are lovely and there is a lot of variety of dinosaurs. In addition there are some management needs to sort such as welfare of the dinosaurs and your guests as well as managing the cash flow. Played for about 10 hours and at first was an interesting challenge. However after a while it becomes repetitive as getting and researching new dinosaurs needs expeditions which is a lot of mouse clicking and their behaviours aren't dis-similar enough to warrant my interest. Managing cash also becomes very easy after the initial hurdles of the island. Needs a little more depth and challenge to this game.

Idea behind the game is excellent - survival, resource management, upgrades based on scavenging and leading / managing a team who you need to keep alive. A perfect combination for a gamer like myself. However implementation was poor - too many bugs, such that I was unable to complete one of the main quests (and could not obtain a vehicle - snowmobile), and no fast travel system resulting in hours of simply walking in the snow before being able to do anything. Project highrise is a sim tower game. The concept behind the game is interesting - build your tower and cater for your tenants whether they be office workers, residential or shops, and manage the infrastructure. However the graphics were mediocre for a game created in 2017. Additionally the game suffers in that income only comes in at midnight rather than in real time, meaning that often you are sitting waiting for the day to complete to get more money to build a little bit more. This is a frustration that ruined the game for me.
