Ragnarok DS brings the Ragnarok Online experience to a handheld. The combat feels close to the original, the progression is addictive, and the soundtrack is nostalgic. Impressive to see a game this good running on the DS.

This is a touch-based Action RPG that makes excellent use of the stylus. The pixel art is beautiful, and the character and skill animations are one of the game's biggest highlights, especially the ultimate abilities, which have a quality that feels worthy of Dragon Ball scenes. Another standout feature is the item collection mechanic. The more items scattered on the ground, the more satisfying it feels to collect everything at once. It's a simple mechanic, but incredibly addictive — I could easily spend hours just collecting items. The story and characters are very well developed, making it easy to get invested in the narrative. Although there are many dialogue sections, they are well written and help expand both the story and the characters. Overall, it's a very well-produced game with an excellent combination of gameplay, art direction, combat, and storytelling.
