If you are looking for a game that treats you like an intelligent person, look elsewhere... There is no challenge, no compelling story and little innovation... if not for the online game I would say that it is completely skippable...
Saint Seiya fans, please calm down, i know the emotion of see all this characters and the gameplay is enjoyable. But this game lacks depth, the characters play all the same way and the lipsing is awfull, in addition the way the story is told is rather boring, the difficulty also leaves much to desire...
The visual section is magnificent and I loved the music of the game, since it put me in atmosphere and never got to bother me. The gameplay is excellent, although I feel that there are no enough possibilities to make a come back, many times my victory or defeat was so clear that continuing playing lack of point, other videogames penalize to be trust in excess and I feel that this one miss that.
Best wrestling game in years (which it's not surprising given the poor quality of the latest games...Specialy the last one) BUT the version for computers is poorly optimized and "MyCareer" mode is cool but monotonous.
I feel I could write one review for all WWE games from the first 2K title, the greatest merit from the developers is to make up and sell the same product year after year as something new.
Played a WWE THQ/Yuke's game played all of them, at the technical level thet advance very slowly and the combat system needs a real correction, additionally I feel that the game refuses to give me freedom I should have.
It is a conformist game, but at least improved (slightly...) the combat system. The worst of this game is the removal of GM mode and that the game does not offer any incentive to use creation modes.
Season and GM modes advanced little from the previous version, dodge based system prevails, and the combat system based on weights was brought to try to provide realism but get the opposite and makes it almost useless to the light weight characters.
Pros: Cool roster, GM mode is pretty cool, fast gameplay and the graphics, music and intros were high quality for ps2 gen. Cons: The collision detection is awful, not have a difficulty curve and the combat system is a step back compared to older games.
I'm not a fan of SvR series but it's the worst one, the wrestling styles is cool but remains the same deep problems (a system based in reflex and smash buttons over ability and strategy) and the worst of all is the 24/07 mode, which sadly killed the GM mode.
People buy the game before investigating and later criticize this for not no being what they expect. This game belongs to the X-com series, yes, but is a spin-off, complements the story, but the gameplay is very different (and enjoyable in its own style).
It's far from being the best fighting game, but is a very enjoyable adaptation of the series, with a lot of characters and a lot of freedom, what I miss in the game is the original music of the series. Im expecting a similar game but whit truly distinguishable characters.
How fan of dragon ball z i think the game is ok, but as a fan of fighting games i think It's very mediocre, the characters feel the same and the skill system allows you to create unbeatable characters, the worst of all is the dragon rush system that depends entirely on luck.
No the best dragon ball z game, BUT is the best 2D FIGHTING dragon ball z game, fast and powerfull combos and each character feels different. I know that Budokai 3 has more characters, but they feel the same and the system of Dragon Rush is... Lame.
