Brampton’s Own was a great movie to watch with friends on a quiet night in. This is a story of a man who returns to his hometown after 12 years of trying out for the MLB and reconnects with his family and high school sweetheart. Dustin, played by Alex Russell, must cope with the fact that everyone back home continued to move on without him and now he has to catch up and really fight for the girl he wants. I felt like Alex Russell did a great job portraying all the emotions this character experiences, making it a great experience for me as a viewer. I definitely recommend this to movie lovers.

I watched Delinquent Season with a group of friends this past week and loved it! This was a great story of two people who fall for each other at the wrong time. The story is full of love and hate, beautifully portrayed by leads Cillian Murphy, from the Batman franchise, and Catherine Walker, best known for her role in the show Versailles. The heartbreak had me at the edge of my seat, routing for these two to end up together despite everything. I recommend lovers of romance check this out.

I love to watch movies in my free time, whether it be a goofy kids movie or a political documentary, and so I watched Five Fingers for Marseilles to explore a genre I’m not familiar with. This film was dramatic and exciting the entire time, keeping me alert with the stare downs and sudden fights. The director, Michael Matthews, introduced me to new actors who impressed me with their talent in bringing this story to life. Vuyo Dabula, who plays Tau, did a great job portraying both the internal and external struggles of this character. This movie was an exciting experience for me, inspiring me to check out more like it and I’d recommend this to anyone looking for something new.

A Wizard’s Tale is an animated film about a boy who will do anything to save his grandma’s amusement park, traveling to a magical kingdom along the way. Craig Kellman’s animation brings this story to life with vibrant colors and goofy characters. Watching this tale of good vs. evil was a fun experience and left me feeling a new sense of optimism towards life and its magical possibilities. For anyone looking for a new movie to watch that will make them feel like a kid again, this is one I can absolutely recommend.
