Laughable attempt at a sequel to one of the largest video game series ever. AI slop, cheesy boss battles, more skins, microtransactions, the list goes on as to why this is a poor, lazy cash grab. Do NOT waste your money on this crap. Vote with your wallets and hit them where it hurts.
Gameplay was fun but got redundant quickly. I played after the final update was released so I was able to get the "best" experince this game had to offer. Graphics are good, and had some fun exploration. However, the story is told through static images with voice over. No cinematics unfortunately.
This game was so much fun to play. I had to put it down because I was so pulled in. Great story, great graphics, fun fights and puzzles. Asobo knocked it out of the park.
The cloud version of this game is awful. I have decent internet and was averaging 10-15fps, 20 at BEST. The game itself is fun but that was quickly ruined with the gimmicks of playing the cloud version.
Bought this game for $12 and tried it. I intentionally waited a few months for the bugs and patches to be deployed/fixed. I have played for over 20 hours now and I have not had 1 single issue with the game as far as glitches goes. Once you get past it's awful launch, the game is wonderful to play! Graphics are beautiful, story is compelling, and fun customization. The downsides to the game are the driving controls, tutorials, and melee combat. The game does not hold your hand in any tutorials and thus you have to find out on your own. Like the teleport system is not right and you have to go to specific points to move across the map. Melee combat is janky and doesn't feel right. I'm a melee player, preferably, and forced to use normal weapons. Overall good game.
These games are fantastic but not on Switch. The Dark Descent runs very poorly and experiences low frame rates. Justine runs smoothly but can suffer from hiccups as well. I will buy this on PC again.
-GRAPHICS: Very nice, crisp detail in the game. You can see planets revolving and cracks in buildings. The attention to detail is nice. 9/10 on graphics. -STORY: The story is so vague and dry I had to go to the internet to see what the game was about. The story is that bad. I felt like it left some plot holes unanswered and there is hardly any character development at all. 4/10 on story. -GAMEPLAY: The gameplay is fun especially when you have friends to play with and help out. The controls are smooth and you feel like you are in total control. However there is no over world map you can see; only the one where you pick a mission on the planet of your choice. The gameplay gets very redundant after so long and Bungie really needs to make the areas much larger. 7/10 for gameplay. -MULTIPLAYER: The multiplayer in Destiny is your run of the mill team death match, capture the flag, and free for all. With this being an MMO it is essentially a multiplayer game in itself but the strict multiplayer element is very basic and just like Call of Duty. 5/10 for Multiplayer. -VERDICT: Destiny is a fun game and great social experience for those who want the most out of their PS4. It has beautiful graphics and smooth gameplay but the story is just plain terrible. If you like a social experience and like to try a fun game while it may last you a short while try this game. For an overall score of 7/10.
