Ocarina of Time is one of the most influential games in the series and contains so many iconic moments. However, it’s nowhere near the level of perfection that many fans hold it to and even for the time there are some pitfalls that make it annoying to get through
Masterpiece ****. This is hands down one of the best 3D platformers I have played. There’s incredible art direction, fun bosses, and the movement and mechanics lend themselves to a great adventure. Destroying the environments doesn’t get old, even in post-game there’s still secrets to find and new ways to use DK’s abilities to try to reach new places. The only possible negative would be that it’s too easy. I wish there was a difficulty level or some kind of scaling for the bosses because while they’re incredibly fun, interacting with different bananza powers and other abilities, they’re over quick if you are skilled. But because the fun element (the whole reason for playing the game) is still there, I don’t think it detracts significantly from my feelings for the game.
An already amazing game made better with visual and performance uplifts. The $10 (or free if you already have Nintendo online) upgrade is well worth-it to play the game in the best way. The new Zelda Notes app also adds some depth to the game and is a fun addition.
BotW was already a great game with some shortfalls with some of the performance. Now with the switch 2 upgrade, it’s an incredible experience, especially handheld, with no hitches or lag spikes in the heavier areas of the game.
