Good indie game, impressed that every line was voiced, though the voice acting isn't that good, but it is nice to see they put some effort on that! An isometric adventure game with dark humor in a dark low fantasy setting. Puzzles were fun (not the decipher ones), combat is challening when with 3+ enemies, specially with enemies towards the end of the game, a nice polygon art. Overall a very good experience!
For someone who directed Dead Space, this game is pretty below average. Generic story line, 0 charisma for characters, antagonist motives and overall "evil plot" completely nonsensical, beaten, used a hundred times or more now. Lack of creativity, maps looks pretty much the same, I counted at least 5 times where you were progressing towards the objective and suddenly a falling cutscene played out, it was getting really boring... The graphics were nice though, but basically it.
Forspoken is a solid gaming experience, although not free of issues, asthe majority of games that have been released in the past few years. Starting with things I didn't like: It uses denuvo DRM, so I installed on a HDD instead of SSD, but it is a game made for SSD, so... if you're like me, expect some load times on stupid things, like opening up your map... also, at somepoints the game just decided to load the screen for a couple seconds, with no apparent reason at all. Not necessarily a bad thing, but progression and story starts very slow, it takes a couple hours to taste true freedom. Enemies and bosses overall are kinda boring. For the things I like, starting with the story, it's a solid yet not new one, might be more common amidst anime media. It's full blown isekai, where the protagonist get teleported to another world/dimension and there she is tasked, her liking or not, in saving that world from utter destruction. Not a masterpiece, but solid and well written, has a few plot twists that are interesting. What I liked the most was the voice acting, definitely one of the best I've seen in gaming, specially the recent ones. The dialogues are very good, the characters are well written, and I think that's why most of negative reviews can be realy harsh on the game, they weren't expecting something so grounded to reality that it feels "fake" at first. Gameplay wise, nothing new, but a good experience, fast combat and movement traversing the world. Spells could be a little better, some are utterly useless, but overall a good mechanic. The world is fairly big and pretty dull, but pretty, if it's your sort of thing to explore and complete all regions. Get at a discount, worth a try
Played for a couple hours, but game kept bugging and when it started crashing I decided to give up Even though, the game it's an okay experience if you're lucky enough not to crash A very bland FPS game, with cheesy action comedy lines, like most of the cult classic action movies. Just point and shoot :)
Great game, good core loop mechanics, well written story, enjoyed it very much The sidequests and some haunting cases could be a little more engaging, but overall a solid experience
Atlas Fallen is a good game, but it really depends on what you're looking for in a game to enjoy it. In its core, it is a really fun action game, with flashy moves, plenty of tough enemies and overall decent combat. I say decent combat, because even though the combat is very fun, it is not so fluid, due to targeting and camera issues. Sometimes the true enemy is the camera control, specially when you're fighting a colossal enemie with many minions... The story starts as your average fantasy story, a devasted world, due to a god's greed and lust for power, people are slaves, and they either work on exploiting the land or enforcing the other slaves to do so, the latter group being the soldiers, nobles and people with names. You're one of the unnamed, the lower cast of slaves, and stumble across an ancient relic, a glauntet of sorts, which holds great power, and, since you're the hero, the rest of the plot resumes with you looking for ways to free the people from tyranny :) Pretty average, right? But.. as the plot dwelves further, it is just messy, some things doesn't add up, lacking a lot. Not terrible, just not good either The characters are blunt as well, no one memorable, the dialogues are ok, sometimes even funny, but the voice acting is a little off, it doesn't have weight to it... So, all things considered, it deservers a 7, since it was very fun mechanically and had beautiful landscapes and overall aesthetic
This game is terrible. I played through all the games, really dig in the vibe from dead Space 1 and 2, but this one should've never existed, it should've ended with the second one. First of all, the game was released 2 years after Dead Space 2 and it somehow manages to look worse? I mean, yeah, the image is sharper, but the modeling of enemies it is just terrible, the destructible boxes, the itens you can pick up, everything looks awful and out of place, like the game was made in early 2000`s lol The story is, perhaps, the most decent thing on the game, and yet, it ****. Not going to dwell further here because don't want to spoil it (but I really should), just, don't go in expecting much Gameplay wise, they went with an Action totally not horror survival approach: oversimplified much of the mechanics, downgrading the weapon slots from 4 to 2, shared ammo for ALL the weapons (yeah, same munitions for flamethrower, bullets and energy weapons, figures...).
Changed some key aspects, like, now you can create and modify your weapons at will, which should be great, butthe majority of those options are garbage and instead of having one weapon with 2 firing modes for that same ammo type, which was fun to come with strategies, it's 2 weapons on 1 and the majority of timeyou'll probably only use one of those weapons. I could go on and on, but truly, it is a completely waste of my time, and hopefuly, if you read till here, you won't waste yours
