Was a good old game until the developers greed forced unnecessary buggy updates that broke it completely. Broke most mods, the only things that actually made it any good, with some no longer being updated. See no point in playing any more so uninstalled it.
The intermission episode was better than the main game and raises the score considerably. Got to see a new story about Yuffie without altering the original game. Yuffie even has her iconic character design, unlike the other characters who have been changed for some reason. It felt more reminiscent of the OG than the main game itself which is heavily bloated and I didn’t like many of the new changes.
I tried this after a friend recommended it. I wasn't expecting much, but I ended up enjoying this game a lot. It was light hearted fun. I think it's one of the best games I played this year.
The original Final Fantasy VII was a masterpiece. A legendary game that turned a generation of western gamers into FF fans. It launched the golden age of FF, with masterpieces like VIII and XI following on the same PlayStation One console. Those games stuck in the memory for years. They have never been forgotten. Sadly, FF has declined over time. Now Square hopes to rekindle past glories with remakes. And the only reason I played this was to see those amazing characters again. To visit the world I spend months living in. But it could have been better, much better. I knew I would be disappointed, so I delayed playing it. For me, it doesn't feel the same. A lot is missing. A lot of it has been changed, and continues to change in FFVII Rebirth. It's no longer the masterpiece I once played. It's a game for the times we live in. Made for the next generation. Dumbed down and altered. Stretched out with filler. The game has been stretched so much the story is no longer engaging. The modern hack and slash combat felt out of place and I didn't enjoy it at all. Turn based combat was a memorable part of the original classics. Part one of the remake was basically just the tutorial section in the original, but they made it into an entire game of it's own. It wasn't the most memorable part. Had I played this first I probably would have forgotten about it, and my love of FF would have never happened. The story and world of FFVII had evolved and changed many times of the years, with spin-off games and the like. Final Fantasy VII is no longer Final Fantasy VII.
From the makers of Final Fantasy and one of the greatest games ever made. I hope that one day it gets remastered. Gamers these days may find the puzzles and combat difficult. It doesn't hold your hand and play the game for you like many modern games do. But a little perseverance and it becomes amazing. The combat is incredible. The story is epic. This is an adult Final Fantasy set in a fantastic fantasy dungeon.
A game with many flaws. The first, and most controversial, problem is the heaviness on LGBTQ issues. It was clearly intended to make the game feel modern and inclusive. While not a bad thing in itself, it felt forced and out of place with the setting. --- But, honestly, that controversy isn't the worst thing about this game. It has much bigger problems. The combat is very simplistic and quickly gets repetitive and boring. The writing is amateurish and terrible. Gone is the legendary Bioware story telling and writing of the past. And the look and feel of the game is a complete change from the adult, bloody, gritty, medieval dark fantasy of the original and best Dragon Age Origins, with it appearing now more like a children's Pixar animation . This is no longer Dragon Age! It's evolved into something completely different. I don't know what it is now.
I've always liked the Elderscrolls series and Skyrim was a fun and enjoyable game to play. I also have a love for modding video games so the Creation Kit adds an extra joy to the game by allowing me to create new content and customize the game to suit my play style.
One of the greatest game series to come out of Japan, an epic masterpiece that will entertain you from beginning to end. Its one of the big 3 Final Fantasy games that came out in quick succession, with VIII, and IX, during the series glory years.
A highly overrated and heavily bug infested game, it started out well with Guild Wars 2 looking like a rare real jewel in an ocean of other mediocre MMOS, with the developers keeping true to their manifestos, unfortunately that didn't last long and the game has been going down hill with the developers constantly changing the feel of the game that its hardly recognizable to its original release. Its OK if you like the same of old style MMOS, but if not then you are suddenly left with a feeling of betrayal and anger that can no longer be compensated. With the companies obvious lies and attempts to hide the truth by deleting anything negative written on their official sites, they show what a vile and selfish money grabbing company they really are.
