Heaps of fun. Looks great. Good physics. A bit of grinding but what else are you gonna do in a game like this? Doesn’t cost over $100 like other PS5 titles that inexplicably do. I wish there were more PS5 games like this.

The soundtrack of any rhythm game is typically linked closely to its success and that says a lot about how good the game play of Beat Sabre is, because its soundtrack ****. Included are a handful of generic EDM tracks and the vibe is very ‘demo’. There are a small number of DLC packs, the highlight of which are Green Day, Timbaland and Imagine Dragons (seriously). I feel like there’s a lot of missed potential at this point and the people playing illegally modded versions of this on YouTube make it look a lot better than the real version actually is. Given that it’s all full price game and the DLC is very expensive, the developer should throw its player base a few bones before something equally good, with better music comes along.

I’ve been playing rally games for decades and I’m not that serious about them. I like it when they strike a good balance between fun and simulation and I think this one does that well. The cars handle well, most of the courses are fun to drive and the difficulty system can be adjusted easily and without penalty (or incentive depending on how you look at it). It’s not perfect though - there are some tedious and pointless tasks in career mode and not much of a progression system. Overall I think the graphics are great but the stone and brick walls that pop up in some levels are extraordinarily bad. I honestly dont think I've seen such blocky, unsoftened and low-quality texture walls since PC games in the mid-90's. I find them so bad that I often crash when they pop up because I'm so gobsmacked at how bad they. Luckily they don't come up much (mostly in the Monaco stages). The PS5 controller stuff is fun and adds to the immersion. Overall I like this game and am glad I waited till it was on sale. If I'd paid full price I'd probably have expected it to be a bit more polished

This is a masterpiece of storytelling, open world design, enjoyable and diverse gameplay and stunning graphics. It got a bit buggy for me a couple of times, but hard resets seemed to fix the issues. This game also showcases PS5 capabilities better than any other game I have on the PS5 so far too.

I love this game, but it’s terrible. The original was fantastic and if you haven’t played it, then you should. The American expansion is a mess affected by incredibly bad pacing that essentially forces you to level up before you’re ready. My plane is maybe 60% upgraded and my only choice is to fly ‘very high risk missions’ or the ‘medium risk’ mission that puts me on the last level. And I’ve only been playing it casually for 5 days...
This one is also subject to the ‘lose a landing wheel and it’s all over’ that it’s predecessor had. All in all, spend your $5 on a beer or anything else instead of this I say.

This is the gaming equivalent of a Hollywood 'remake' that nobody asked for. Think Robocop 2014, but with no technological advancement over its predecessor. If you missed SF2-4, then go and play them - they're cheap (sometimes free!) and much better. If you're bored of those games, then you haven't really played them. If you're capcom - congrats on the 30 years of awesome Steet Fighter games you made - how about you remake Final Fight next time? plenty of dead horses to flog and I don't think there's anything left to flog of this one.

Firstly, the trailer for this features SF4, but it isn’t actually included. I found out the hard way. Yes, I already have SF4, but for $50 I expected more. I was a 90s kid. I played all the old versions of street fighter to death and I was particularly excited to finally get a copy of Super SF2 and Super SF2 Turbo. But that excitement didn’t last. They are very old games and playing them on a 5th gen console and widescreen HD TV is nothing like playing on an arcade machine.

This game could have bee so much more! I’ve been a massive rally game fan since the mid-90’s and this game instantly grabbed me with its Sega rally-ish gameplay and graphics. The career mode totally **** though. The race difficultly is all over the place, but generally it’s way too hard to for progression to occur at a satisfying pace. I’m good at these sorts of games, but even on easy mode I’d have a great run and still come last by 20 secs or I’d be 10 secs ahead of and an arbitrary change would happen (eg. Gravel surface would change to tarmac) and I’d be left for dead by the AI. After eventually saving up for a 2nd car, I made the mistake of buying a hill climb car and those races seemed even more inconsistent. It was also very jarring going from rally mode where cars slide out at 50km/h to hill climb mode where you can take corners at 200km/h without drifting. I don’t think they did any testing.
