Dead by Daylight used to be my absolute favorite game about five years ago. Back then it actually felt like a horror game - tense, dark, and genuinely creepy, with a strong atmosphere that kept me on edge every match.Unfortunately, over time the game changed in a direction I really dislike. The new animations feel awkward, the character faces look bad and lifeless, and a lot of the original horror vibe is just gone. On top of that, the added messaging and “agenda” completely pulled me out of the experience. What was once a scary, immersive horror game now feels more like a parody of itself. It’s honestly sad to see how far it drifted from what made it special in the first place.
I absolutely love Marvel Rivals. The character art style is gorgeous, the costumes are amazing, and the level of detail in everything is just chef’s kiss. Playing my favorite Marvel characters never gets old, and visually the game is a real treat. That said… the matchmaking can be insanely frustrating. Way too often I’m put against opponents who are clearly leagues above me, or I end up with teammates who have no idea what they’re doing and turn the match into pure pain. When the teams feel balanced, the game is incredible - but when matchmaking goes wrong, it really tests my patience. Still, despite that, I keep coming back because the core gameplay and overall vibe are just too good to ignore.
Quarantine Zone really hooked me. I love simulation games on almost any theme, and adding zombies on top of that is basically made for me. You constantly feel that one wrong decision can ruin everything - and the zombies will eat everyone (which definitely happened to me more than once). Yes, the game has some flaws and rough edges, which is totally understandable for the studio’s first project, but they don’t ruin the experience at all. On the contrary, you can clearly see the developers’ effort and potential, and most importantly, the game delivers emotions and is genuinely fun to play. I honestly want to come back to it again and again to keep checking on those poor survivors.
