Close to perfection. Literally the only neg is the length of the game (I completed it in a single day). However, I have seen information on their official discord that leads me to believe modding is possible, and being actively developed; steam workshop support is apparently forthcoming, and I very much look forward to that.
This is like Samurai GUNN on meth. And I mean that in the best possible sense. 10/10 absolute perfection. Controls are responsive and easy, very precise. Satisfying as **** to beat.
I had previously written a negative review for this game; I am changing my review to positive, because I like where it's going since launch. Yes, there are still occasional connection errors and the stability of the game is still not perfect. But every update has indeed improved the situation, and they are indeed listening to players. Check the subreddit if you're in doubt. Things are actually looking up. It's like deja-vu from Rainbow Six: Siege really.
All of the wonder of the classic Elite brought to a modern platform. I cannot wait to see what comes next in the universe of No Man's Sky, but the future looks bright indeed.
This is a very high-quality game. It's not the same compelling story as the movie Fury Road, but I think that's a good thing. Open World Mad Max is a great idea, but most importantly the driving is super fun and the physics feel solid.
Forza and Gran Turismo need to check their rear-view mirrors. This game is the real deal, and it's not for the faint of heart. If you enjoyed DriveClub, this game is definitely not for you. And SlightlyMad Studios doesn't care about you. If, on the other hand, you really enjoy the idea of racing cars around tracks in real life, this simulator is prepared to teach you things about it. Live the fantasy of becoming a Formula driver, in a way that even dedicated Formula games cannot match. Not to mention the graphics (which are amazing). 10/10
It's not possible to play this game and not like it. The only negative I've heard thrown around is "lack of an online multiplayer." But the game simply *would not work* online. Even a little bit of lag would ruin the game from the inside out. I *prefer* local multiplayer for a game like this. Teknopants has taken a somewhat controversial stance on this, for his game, consistent with his design for what the player should experience, and I support it 100%. It wasn't a decision made lightly, and there is no solution short of speeding up the internet as a whole to the point where average pings are at the level of LAN play, and are as consistent. But that rather goes without saying, doesn't it? So, assuming you're convinced that the local-only nature of this game is not the fault of the developer, you should be asking, "Are there any other problems, negatives or downsides?" No. F*cking buy this game, right f*cking now. It is amaze-balls. If you have at least one friend, you *will* have the time of your life cutting each others' faces off. Guaranteed.
