Mark of the Ninja
8
User ScoreThePCGamer101
Jun 25, 2015
Mark of the Ninja, developed by the critically acclaimed studio Klei Entertainment, with their successful Shank series, Don't Starve and now Invisible Inc. Mark of the Ninja is like Dishononered mixed in with Thief: The Dark Project and produced into a 2D stealth action platformer, with great stealth, great bloody action and challenging yet not too difficult puzzles. Mark of the Ninja really shines as a 2D stealth game and Klei Entertainment have actually done a very good port from is original XBOX360 port to the PC. Controls are easy and quick to use. The music is brilliant and reminds me of some of the great Ninja films I have seen. The cutscenes and their animation truly shine as a Klei Entertainment game, as Pixar has its own animation techniques with its masterpieces, so does Klei Entertainment with its games and also Mark of the Ninja. The cutscenes' animations remind me of Disney/Pixar films, only more gory than the family friendly Disney we all know and love. The only thing that put me off was the voice acting. Its not terrible nor is it the best voice acting performance. Certainly it won't win any awards from me for best voice acting, but it gets the job done. Another thing which kind of bugged me was the puzzles, sometimes they were too easy, sometimes too hard, and sometimes damn frustrating! The story, very well written and has a good plot twist in the end. However, about midway into the story, it kind of lacks in storytelling and I got really bored in playing that specific bit. It was the same guards and dogs, etc... just re-textured to fit in the environment your in. I did notice some minor bugs here and there like guards not noticing me when I am fully visible in light and sometimes guards getting stuck in an area, however not game breaking. Plus once you complete the game, there is a new game plus mode which removes all the things that helped you and make it even more challenging. Overall, this is a great Klei Entertainment game and should be definitely be played be people who either like 2D games, stealth games or want to play something a little different...

Team Fortress 2 or TF2 a game developed by my most favorite company Valve Corporation, is a sequel to the highly popular Team Fortress. The game is massively fun to play especially with your friends and even alone, this game is surely one of the best comedic multiplayer games of all time! Play as the Heavy, Spy, Medic, Scout, Denoman, Soldier, Engineer, Sniper and the mysterious one of the bunch the Pyro as you blast your way through fun multiplayer maps. And although I do not agree to In-App Purchases and DLC, this game does offer In-App Purchases, the prices are fair!

I love the Metro series, from this game Metro 2033, to its sister sequel Metro Last Light from 4A Games, focuses on the horror above the Metro and Artyom. The game was good, but was a little put off when the people with you always do the stuff for you and you just watch. Also the enemy AI was a bit dumb and too clever in the Stealth sections, when you hit off a light and it makes a noise, the enemy AI will know exactly where you are hiding which kinda put me off. And the Ranger Mode, is a true survival game, with no HUD, limited ammo and many more features taken away from you, it is truly a game worth getting!

Fantastic and fun game to play, and with the awesome music and soundtrack that comes with the game, I would recommend you trying the demo, ALSO it's fun to play with your friends and expect to die allot on your first try. But the DLC in this game is awful. ONE DLC for an announcer!?! ONE WHOLE DLC for spectator mode and all the other features in Awesomenauts Starstorm DLC, it should have been placed into this game in the first place!!! But on the whole, excluding DLC, it's a fun game to play.

BE WARNED: Somehow the game doesn't put out a warning anywhere, the movements are really quick and may cause people who suffer with epilepsy to go mad so I would suggest not to play it if you suffer with epilepsy, and for those people who do not suffer with epilepsy, don't play for too long, or it will give you a headache or cause nausea or even death, who knows, it may last for a very long time or be permanent! What can I say about Super Hexagon? It is a fun little indie game that makes you rage but also makes you feel satisfied! The objective of the game is just to dodge these large hexagons and every 10 seconds (or so...) it changes a bit and makes it more challenging and faster, on the whole I highly recommend this game if you don't mind swearing once or twice! Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad
5
User ScoreThePCGamer101
Jun 24, 2015
Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is a sequel to Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 by Tripwire Interactive, the same people that created the Killing Floor game, this review is split up into two reviews: Singleplayer and Multiplayer aspects of the game and are judged differently Singleplayer - 5/10 I have got to say that the singleplayer for Red Orchestra 2 is the worst I have ever seen, horrible AI, tons of glitches, awful story and also the same objectives, over and over and over again. "Capture this, then capture that, then finally capture the last one, and it is the most heavily guarded!" Is this the most Tripwire Interactive could come up with!?! Let's start with the AI, the worst I have ever seen. Soldiers running around in the battlefield, not looking for cover, acting like idiots, a Soviet soldier passes by a German soldier and completely ignores him! WOW, this is what must of happened during the real war! Glitches, they are everywhere! Soldiers sinking into the ground, soldiers spinning like they are at a disco party, running on the same spot, the glitches are endless! Awful story, one of the most boring stories I have ever encountered. I understand that it is during WWII and the Germans are fighting over the Russians etc... but come on! They could of made the story much better than what it is! And the objectives, always the same... just in a different place. Do this, then do that, then take over here, then there, etc... Really gets boring after a while. Overall I am disgusted by the level of poorness this "singleplayer" has to show. But the level of realism that it shows, from the breathing, to crouching and other stuff really makes you feel like you are in the battlefield. But overall, a complete disaster! Multiplayer - 6/10 Fun, not that fun but mostly fun, but the best is playing with your friends, as it can get very boring in a matter of a few hours. The only thing I have got to complain about is... why the hell are they advertising Rising Storm, which for me is a completely different game in this one!?! I really thought that Rising Storm is integrated into Red Orchestra 2 and it comes free, but OH NO, when I entered the game, you have to pay for Rising Storm, which I can understand, but why on earth would you integrate it with Red Orchestra 2 if they are two completely different games in two different places! And when I wanted to play one of the maps of Rising Storm in Red Orchestra 2, it did let me, but it strips away all the classes to the bare bone, what a waste. Honestly, you either make them separate games or charge for both Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm together, BUT overall the multiplayer is not bad, best with friends and family though!

Castle Crashers, a game developed by The Behemoth - the same people that recently developed for Steam "BattleBlock Theater". Castle Crashers is a fun game to play alone and with your friends with its great music and wacky comedy (from farting birds to bears reading newspapers then farting), the only thing I have to comment about is the level of difficulty, I don't know how easy it is with a friend with Co-Op/Multiplayer but on your own with Singleplayer it can be really difficult sometimes and also if you have a controller... USE IT! This game does not run well with a keyboard and the developers weren't bothered to change the XBOX symbols to keyboard symbols and vice versa, so if you were like me at first playing with a keyboard, your kinda stuck and it is very un-enjoyable to play with a keyboard, so if you have or you can afford one, play with a controller by all means necessary!

User ScoreThePCGamer101
Jun 24, 2015
Sniper Elite V2, a sequel to Sniper Elite is developed by Rebellion Developments, this sniper action/stealth game is one I did not expect, it is a great WWII video-game, based on the **** trying to create the V2 rockets to destroy England, France and the rest of Europe. You are an American sniper trying to locate and destroy or snipe objectives given to you. Kind of like No One Lives Forever (where you have to locate someone or shoot somebody) but in the times of **** and World War II (WWII), the graphics are fantastic, the music is very good, the voice acting on both the English side and German side is great and it is satisfying game, especially when you snipe someone and the camera focuses on the bullet piercing through the bodies of the enemy. It is so satisfying, kind of makes me feel like I am playing Shadow Warrior with the katana, but this time it is a deadly sniper. Overall it is a great game, some glitches and dumb AI here and there but overall it is a great game to play. Especially now since it is free for 24 Hours! (04/06/2014) Although I haven't played the Co-Op side of the game, when I do get the chance I will edit this review again! The Multiplayer kinda put me of, with is bad servers, crashing all the time, lag, and bugs that are ridiculous, I kind of felt put off, now you might say "Oh, but it might be your Internet", please be rest assured that I pay for the best internet my ISP (Internet Service Provider) can provide, now if the ISP is lying to me and I am not getting the best internet on offer, then I can understand, other games like Battlefield 3 by EA Games and Primal Carnage by Lukewarm Media, I can run the perfectly with little to no lag at all, and I am kind of dissapointed that the servers on Sniper Elite V2 are not the greatest BUT, if you want a game that makes you feel satisfied in killing **** and set in the WWII era and includes a side of sniper action and stealth, then this is the game for you

User ScoreThePCGamer101

Anomaly Warzone Earth is the first in a line up of great Sci-Fi/Action/Strategy games. You plan your route carefully with planning and thought, after you get to choose the loadout of vehicles you wish, after you try and survive the terrors of the Alien lifeforms which has taken over Baghdad and other ares round that part. Overall it makes me feel like I am playing a tower defense game, but instead of planning to defend whatever I need, I am actually moving through, while the Alien lifeforms is planning its way on defending either its power cores or just trying to ruin your day by just shooting you non-stop. Overall the graphics and music are great, the voice acting is good and the story is actually quite a good story, kinda weird as I was just expecting soldiers trying to move their way through either a group of terrorists or shooting their way through to get out of Baghdad, like Jagged Alliance or Doorkickers. The game is great, short, but challenging as you may die a lot for poor planning, but thankfully their is a good checkpoint system where if you die or want to start over again, you can just start from the checkpoint. A great first game from 11 Bit Studios!

Floating Point is developed by the same guy that developed the Stealth Platformer 'Gunpoint' by Suspicious Developments Ltd. What can I say about this game... it is an absolute gem of an indie game. A fantastic indie game, which makes me feel like I am either an acrobat in a Circus or Tarzan going through the Jungle. It is an absolute great game, nice music, great mechanics and it really made me feel happy to play the game, and so satisfied! It's FREE as well, so if you like nice casual indie games are you can't afford any other great indie games and you like these type of indie game, this is the game for you! Now to the recommendation, if the game was a paid game, I would not suggest this game at all. I am not saying the game is not playable or boring or anything like that. But with its very few features, it wouldn't live up to a paid game, BUT since it is a free game and I am happy that the developer had his head screwed on and gave this game away for free, as although it has some few features and limitations (like no achievements, Steam Overlay doesn't work, no settings page, no Co-Op or Online/Local Multiplayer) it lives up to a free game, and what made me enjoy this game so much, is how small this game is with its great mechanics and music, it made me inspired to continue making more games, although my games are amateur and not that great, this game made me more inspired to make even more games just like this one! WELL DONE Suspicious Developments Ltd.!

Rush Bros. hmm, what can I say about Rush Bros. Either the developers who are developing/developed Speedrunners got bored and opened up a new company and made a crappy version of their great game, or a developer felt like creating a game like Speedrunners and make music about it. Dunno, you can decide... So first, the controls... they are the worst control schemes I have ever seen (on keyboard) as far as I know, platformer games use the arrow keys to move, and x/z key to jump. Then why on earth did the people at XYLA Entertainment think it was great to make the controls WASD and the Spacebar, my fingers are apart and for a platformer it is extremely uncomfortable, let's see what else is bad in this "game" Oh yeah! THE LEVEL DESIGN, who on earth created these levels!?! They are either extremely easy or near impossible, someone must of been bored and felt like making the levels all confused and jumbled up. Great work! (He says sarcastically) Hmm, oh yeah, the animation, looks... ugly. Now normally I love Indie games, and I don't really complain about the graphics in great Indie games, but this "Indie" game, the animations and quality and also the presentation on the game looks ugly and not very professional Ok... what's next. OH YES, the multiplayer. The multiplayer... is a bag of dung mostly. Either the people who are playing with me have very bad internet and lag all the time, or I start playing and the other player couldn't give a toss and just stays their or the person who is about to play with me probably has brains and doesn't play this game. But... ThePCGamer101, you might ask, isn't their something good in this game, after all, you did buy this game didn't you? No, I actually was stupid enough to get it from GreenManGaming (they were giving it away, because probably people never bought it) The only good thing I say that is good in this game is that the game can actually play music from your personal libraries, which is kinda cool listening to great music while trying to play this disaster **** Overall, this game is a mess, not a terrible mess, but it is not a great nor good game. If you get the game for free or something like that, play it for a while, then get bored, and as you can probably see from my playtime (15 minutes or so) I got bored REALLY quickly

But I am not recommending it because of the difficulty, but because of its childish atmosphere, now I don't mind a game like that, but it feels so childish, with its childish music, sound effects and the story looks like a children's story which REALLY put me off, and it was a shame because it does look like a good game, and it makes me feel like I am playing Escape Goat, but put me off with its childish atmosphere, shame...

SpaceChem... is... WOW! This game blew me away the first time I booted up with the first tutorial and the Physics and Chemistry we all know (and love, if you love Physics and Chemistry), the game is based in space where you create atoms and bond them, then later on you have to bond even more with the reactors and more stuff coming my way as the game unlocks even more surprises. The first time I got this game with the PCGamer/BundleStars giveaway (June 2014), I felt that this game was rubbish, the first time I looked at it. BUT this game proved me wrong, and I feel guilty for calling this game rubbish because it is not! BUT BE WARNED! Don't buy/get this game if you don't like Physics/Chemistry, or very challenging puzzles as the game does focus around atoms and the bonding of atoms and all the substances from the Periodic Table etc... so if you don't like those types of games that have science in it, don't buy this game. PLUS, the puzzles are quite challenging, each puzzle from where I am which is still in the tutorial stage (Surprisingly this game is really long) are quite challenging, the puzzle length (from my end) take around 15-20 minutes each, so they are quite challenging... So if you don't like challenging puzzles such as this game, don't buy it! The length... this game is REALLY long! REALLY REALLY long! Almost 44-55 hours to finish the game, as far as I know the first few planets are just some tutorial stages!!! Which comes to show how long this game and the dedication the people had in developing this game, which is great and shows in this game! Normally I don't play long games, but I am happy enough with this game, and I'll try and finish this game (maybe in 6 years time) Overall, this game is very different from your regular indie game, with Physics/Chemistry integration with its challenging puzzles and a nice and strange Sci-Fi story, this game is a TRUE indie gem, that should not be missed at all!

Terraria is a sandbox game that makes me feel like Minecraft merged into a cuter, more nicer game. Terraria is best played with your friends, so for me it won't really work (check out my gameplay time) yeah... not that much. But I was not really happy with its multiplayer, literally me and one of my friends spent 45 minutes trying to make the multiplayer work, which really put me off from playing the game, but with its wide variety of objects to use and its great length ****, you will be playing this sandbox game with your friends for hours on end! Terraria is a great game to get a 4-pack and have fun with your friends!

Guacamelee! Gold Edition

Guacamelee! Gold Edition is an absolute joy to play. With its great Mexican atmosphere, great story, great animation and great and smooth combat, Drinkbox Studios made a great Mexican game with great melee combat! Guacamelee has some of the best atmosphere environment/scenery I have ever seen, with its transition from the living world, to the living of the dead like in Mexican tradition, to its great Mexican music, it really made me happy how much the atmosphere was put together well! The story is great and really made me happy seeing the comedy written in the story, as well as the great cultural references and game references like Castle Crashers and the troll face, it really made me smile and laugh The animation reminds me of the classical Disney and DreamWorks animations like Aladdin (from Walt Disney Animation) and The Road To El Dorado (from DreamWorks SKG) and many other great classical animations. The combat is smooth and very satisfying, reminds me like I am playing Dust: An Elysian Tale which also has great and smooth combat The only thing I was not really happy with is that the game is best played with an XBOX controller which I don't have and the controls especially on the keyboard are really awkward at first, but after getting used to them you will easily play through with the game, plus I did not enjoy the shift in difficulty, first the game is fun and enjoyable, next it is frustrating and you have to keep on retrying which kind of put me off, also I was dissapointed that as I heard the Main Storyline is really short (round about 6 hours) which I was surprised, but if you do finish all of the side quests the game should finish between 13-15 hours BUT with all of its greatness and some problems, you HAVE to, not should, you HAVE to get this game, sadly there is no Multiplayer Co-op but only offers Local Co-op Oh! Also, after 2 hours or so into the game... you get to play a chicken! OMG NEXT-GEN!!! What's next!?! Moving fish!?!

Really Big Sky is amazing, with its madness all over the screen, great music, great British comedy, great narration and very satisfying game, the only thing that put me off was the bad optimization for the full screen options, it seems like the game cannot play in 1080p and can only play in 720p, so if you do not want to go through madness trying to fix the game, don't mess with the full screen options But overall this game is great!

Gun Monkeys is a pretty weird game, but a fun game! The game focuses on you taking charge of a modern-day power company. In the distant future, a catastrophic experiment into Perpetual Energy obliterates all human life, and you are the head of this company and you send monkeys to grab power cores but other monkeys are there to steal them as well! It is quite a creative game, confusing at first, but the tutorial is a great way for you to start playing the game, the story is great and the actor who voices as the narrator while playing the tutorial and a game will help you on the way as well as keeping you entertained while playing The only thing I found a bit awkward was the controls and how un-responsive they are sometimes and that the level designs are not so great, and till what I have played so far, the only mode of play you can play is just a monkey vs. another monkey, maybe I might be wrong, but I wish the developers could add more modes, like team vs. team, and other modes to enjoy this game But overall it is a fun game to play when you are bored or feel like playing something different!

BioShock is an eerie and scary game, but it is a great classic to play! With all of its plot twists and unfortunate events, this is truly a great videogame series, the game runs very well on modern day PC's but with some slight freezes (which I probably think is from my antivirus software) and also sometimes the frame rate drops when there is fire everywhere, I can't really understand because my PC is quite a good gaming PC, but anyways, still a great game The only problem I have with the game is the AI, the AI is so dumb when you play it in Easy mode, the enemies just pass by you and completely ignore you, or when a Big Daddy is right in front of you, he just sees you and walks away, if you want a challenge, don't play it on Easy mode! Characters sometimes dissapear and are only heard, like 2 hours into the game I saw a Little Sister with a Big Daddy, I killed the Big Daddy and then all of a sudden, I could hear the Little Sister but could not find her, and sometimes I hear side characters talking but not in the area I'm in, quite annoying! Another problem I have with the game is the audio clipping, sometimes the audio logs which I listen into get clipped with the main dialogue, honestly, 2K Boston could of made it that when the main dialogue occurs, the audio log stops and continues right after, also sometimes the audio levels vary greatly, sometimes they are the right volume, next it flat out loud, and some of the voices in the game are muffled whilst others sound clear, I don't know why that is... Another problem I have is the amount of fetch quests, I HATE loads of fetch quests, and this game has loads of fetch quests, I can understand that 2K Boston wanted you to experience Rapture, but too much is too many... But, overall this is a great classic, AND if they ever have another 2K Weekend or sale and are selling the BioShock Triple Pack for 15.00EUR or less, GET IT!!! Now, would you kindly like this review and buy the game
