-Really solid ah-ha moments -The atmosphere is awesome as all get out -Puzzles...good and bad -Nice surprises -Tense -Too obtuse -Amazing movement/animation -Just not enough to make me keep me thinking on it. This is a conflicting game for me. This game has some standout moments that really tug at my intrigue. The world is barren but filled with nods to how this world operates. There are moments in puzzles that feel very satisfying in the moment and then that just feel like they are there as merely only an obstacle, which I guess is what puzzles are, but a lot felt like you could see the goal and that made it more rewarding. I love how violent deaths are and the blankness of the characters throughout this game reminds me of a fascist government ruling with some experimental things ala Akira. But I think its best part is also its greatest weakness, obscurity. There is so much environmental storytelling that it oozes intrigue, but it also doesn't hold me enough because it isn't wholly tangible. Maybe I missed something? Maybe I didn't care enough to scrounge for every bit of detail while playing? I don't know, but the ending part of the game (albeit there are some really cool moments in there too) I didn't like. When the ending credits hit my screen, it was a sigh of defeat than a joy of finishing something wonderful.

I had played the original campaign on the original Xbox, but I got the Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One and never got a chance to play the anniversary of Combat Evolved. It still holds up. The mission variety and the pacing changes from mission to mission. Yes, you backtrack through some levels, but the way its changed because of the release of the flood makes it different and exciting to see the differences. Yes, library level is still hard and a bit annoying wasn't as long as I remember. Punching Keyes in the face to get his ID, still awesome. The care they put into being able to switch back and forth between the original visuals and the new with a single button press is wonderful. I compared them with each stunning vista I could find. 343 took care with this one and it can be seen. This is still one of my favorite shooters to date. It's slower, it has some old mechanics, but dang is it still a blast to play. And that's not even talking about the multiplayer...woofta, lots of fun to be had with this one.

5.5/10. While it was a fun experience to play with a friend the game (traded off after each chapter), why some of the episode parts were 5 minutes I couldn't tell you. While it was fun, tedious aspects of the game made it less fun. The scanning for items and enemies to get herbs felt like a chore. The location itself isn't much to write home about, a ship can only be so interesting. The new characters are bland and pretty stereotypical, minus Jessica she gets some cool points for being a little different. The returning Chris and Jill are good, but nothing new. The game looks good and strange at the same time, like there's polish but too smooth, can't quite figure out what it is. But the story, oh the story is where it falters. An interesting concept at first with the efficient city, but we don't go there, for the most part, stuck on the boat. Why are you on the boat? Misleading backstabbing politics that you can see from a mile away. Resident Evil isn't known for amazing dialogue or VO work, but this is pretty bottom of the barrel. At one point the ship is blowing up, but then you're running on the upper deck trying to get away. Guy dies, somehow comes back to life, and somehow meets you, hurt, in another place on your way to another ****'s sloppy. Character motivations are also pretty stretched. Gun play is good and upgrades system I enjoyed, but it isn't enough to recommend this game to play.

A wonderful cast of characters, atmosphere, intense boss battles, and a wonderfully beautiful game. Some people say its dated, man do I love everything about the 90's anime vibe and the color palette of this game. Not to mention the music of this game fits every mood Alex and the gang find themselves in. Is the voice acting the best? No. Is it a linear RPG with not many extras? Yes. Does that take away from the experience? No, not at all. I usually like extra things to do after I've beaten the game and have some semblance of choice in my routes, but this game debunked that trend of mine. After the ending celebration (which is handled in a meaningful way) I wanted to be done and that's exactly what I got to experience. I have my 24+ hours of game time and I'm completely satiated. Not too long in the tooth, good pacing, and well, Lunar will go down as one of my favorite RPGs, check it out, it's worth your time. Jessica is the best.

6.5/10 -Stellar music, its a treat blasting through enemies with the soundtrack. Some of the music reminds me of Earth Worm Jim (more to come on that later. -Varied weapons are cool, sniper following bullets a major plus, items are varied and interesting. Bomb names are strange but fit with the overall gametype. -strange nonsensical plot. Dropping in to save cities with a mad doctor and a trust four armed dog or six, I can't remember who only pulls you out of space tunnels. -Beginning dropping in points are fun for the one time, as well as the ending light tunnels, fun the first time, boring after the third. -Level design is hit or miss, first level not good, second level is stellar and same with the fourth. Final boss is a joke, and how you kill **** in the oddest ways. -Any mirror platform reflecting the crazy futuristic city is awesome. -The dark palette does get mundane sometimes. -kinda glitchy. -beat it under three hours...sometimes thats a good thing, sometimes its a bad -overall potentially worth your time.,

-Wonderful narrative that doesn't follow a conventional path, there are some twists and surprises along the way. -Dual narrative is intriguing and makes you want to continue with each mission -Walking into your first cauldron is mesmerizing and finding a new enemy type keeps the sense of discovery at a 10 -Ravagers sound so awesome when they walk, it makes me smirk every time. -Gameplay is tight and responsive -Side quests are interesting 90% of the time and follow and throw in a twist. Yay for not just fetch quests. -Characters inhabiting the world are unique and each tribe varied from one another. -Aloys commentary throughout the game to herself or the people around her is on point and I love how she points out flaws in people's logic and doesn't back down when confrontation arises. -A beautiful world, varied, breathtaking, and begs to be explored. -Can't climb everything and can't catch the grass on fire (damn you Breath of the Wild!).

An excellent DC story wrapped up in a fighting game. This has changed how I look at fighting games and the story they bring to the table. I'm a **** for alternate universe stories in comics and seeing how they differ from origins and this game didn't disappoint. A battle between Batman and Superman at its core with the world and other heroes getting wrapped up in it. The transitions from story to battle are well thought out and they work for me (minus the QTE events those can go away). The fighting feels like a little more fluid Mortal Kombat and the roster of characters is most of the ones I would desire to play as. It's fun to bash either the AI or a buddy. The unlockables keep you coming back for more and I appreciate the simple menu layouts throughout as well as how easily you can change to alternate costumes. VO work is good. Some of the polish can be a little off in some of the scenes with a little slow down in frame rate too (never in battle). Noticeable but not distracting enough to not recommend. Amazingly good story, I wanted more. I care about the story in a fighting game, yes and more yes. Specials don't feel overpowered. Having two life bars and no rounds keeps it fluid and fast. Environmental damages and objects - amazing. 8.5/10

95/100 one of the better games I've played. The atmosphere in this game is phenomenal. Even without twin stick controls for a shooter (more of an exploration game) it holds up well in the control scheme. I had one problem with a portion of the game toward the end, but still an amazing experience. Glad I jumped on this one and decided to it. A great game hidden in my backlog.

A more polished version of the first entry in the series with a less stellar story. The amount of polish in this game is breath taking, the MO Cap work and facial animations, stunning. This is keeping the trend of making story in fighting games matter. This one doesn't hit the mark as much for me, I like the new characters, but I felt like they popped up in the story just for the fun of it and didn't have much of a reason outside of just to be there. This happened more than once and I kind of scratched my head (when Hal Jordan shows up its basically out of thin air while you are in the streets...doesn't make a lot of sense.) Focusing on Brainiac as the pivotal plot point isn't as gut wrenching as Super Man going bad and Batman dealing with it, they get to that a bit more and there are some cool moments, but doesn't outshine the first game. The roster adds some nice new additions (Scarecrow and Blue Beetle among my favorite newbies) and all the redesigns seem to be better. The fighting is just as fluid, with some of the supers changing for the better and for worse. I think the unlocks became a little too over complicated for my liking, I like my skins and portraits and didn't care for the new loot boxes and equipment drops. On top of that it makes the changing of costumes much more tedious and unlocking items doesn't seem as straight forward. Fighting AI or a buddy is still lots of fun. The polish...woofta is it good. An enjoyable story, but not as good as the first. Padding out the collectibles when they could have added cooler skins=bummer. New roster added some duds in my eyes, but still a good line up of characters. 8/10

What a welcome surprise. This shot to one of my top RE games. Coming off from a disappointing first entry, #2 is phenomenal. Game play is solid and split screen works well with the second player having an interesting influence on the game mechanics, not using guns, but subduing enemies with Moira's flashlight (and scanning for items, way less tedious than the scanner item from the first game) and being a personal radar with the little girl Natalia (and some brick throwing). Best part about theses characters, they are not feeble or weak. They can take as many hits as Claire or Barry which is a turn for the better. The new characters are a welcome edition, Moira especially. She's written believable for a person kidnapped and being emotional torturted while dealing with zombies (yes zombies have returned!) and her VO work is excellent. Actually all the dialogue and acting is well done. I've never thought of an RE game with compelling writing but this game nails it. The writers went full Barry with Barry and its the best thing ever. We've got touching moments between the characters as they struggle throughout the games split duo narrative. This game surprised me in every aspect, stunning cutscenes, great gunplay and keeps the same upgrade system I enjoyed from the first game and adds a skill tree for the characters, the bad guys reason for the kidnapping is well played out and how it progresses at the end is poetic. Two different endings. Both good, one much better though. Raid mode is a fun distraction. Lots of collectibles, challenges, and unlocks to keep you busy. Good boss battles and puzzles. Barry returns! Claire is the best of course and we get to play her again. Play this game. 10/10

Spectacular voice work and writing. I had no expectation going into this game, I only knew that it was a walking simulator. It thrived in the writing and telling the story, graphics were pretty wonderful too, some really good set pieces. The strangeness and the intrigue of the mystery were what kept me motivated to play. The piecing together the mysteries of the story are cleverly done and each section felt quite a bit different from one another. Unfortunately, the culmination of the story's ending leaves much to be desired, which is a shame since this game had such a unique direction of where it was going. A short run, but worth it for the early intrigue, just wish the build-up paid off. 65/100

The set pieces are well done for this game, feels very halo-like in mechanics and design which is a good compliment from a fan to their previous series. The lighting graphics in this game is excellent, stopped quite a few times to just look at the environments. Planets feel different and more unique this time around. I played the original Vanilla Destiny for quite a while and just the first expansion, this sequel is better in every way. The story isn't anything to write home about, but it did enough to keep me interested and some of the characters I thought were well done. I enjoyed my time with it and doing some of the end game stuff now with my brothers and friends are keeping me interested. A welcome surprise for a game I thought I'd pass over. Only problem is the end game. Once again Bungie didn't learn from their previous game. Light on end game content which is a bummer.

This is a proper sequel to Super Mario 64. Diverse worlds, a throwback to nostalgia while still being new, creative music, old and new sound effects, varied NPCs, there is a lot to love about this game. The amount of collectibles is staggering and not to mention the types of tasks to get a moon vary greatly. Taking control of minions is more fun than I would have expected, but one of the best aspects of this game is how well Mario handles, tight and responsive. This has everything you could want in a sandbox 3D Mario game. You will not be disappointed. After you finish the main **** will pull on your heartstrings if you grew up playing Mario 64. It's a wondrous surprise. There are only minimal missteps that hurt it for me. The unlock able end worlds are a total let down in my eye. And there should be less moons. Less and harder would be better in my eye.

A divisive ending, that's what it will come down to in the reviews. I hated the ending at first, it was something I didn't expect (which is always a plus) and I didn't like the direction they took. I mulled it over and decided that the twist was creative enough to be applauded. A good set of unique characters once again and the environment to explore is mysterious as ever (not as cool as the island in number 2, but still decent). Some of the new minigames in the trials are good (Debate Scrum has amazing music and mind mine is just a fun diversion) and others are kinda boring (psyche taxi, rather be snowboarding). Daganronpa is a fantastic serious. And V3 makes sure it doesn't get stale. Whether that's a good thing or a bad, time will tell. I think it's sitting around an 80/100 for me right now. That may go up, I don't see it going down. If you haven't given this serious a chance, it's worth the time for something over the top and unique.

It has mechanics that are better than the first one, atmosphere points which are higher, but not as scary and less tension. I'm genuinely pleased with this game. I'm not a huge SRPG fan, but with Mario being the glue that all this takes place in, I found the atmosphere inviting and I was willing to give it a shot. It might not be as deep as some SRPGs I dabbled with, but I was happy with the mechanics, skill trees, and variety of enemy types. The graphics are top-notch and the music score is pretty decent as well. Happy with the boss designs, especially World 3&4, fantastic. There was little things that hold it back from being great, a variety of items dropping in crates are mainly just music and statues, nothing to help in the game besides new weapons (which I thought were done well with the red coins) and some of the escort missions can get tedious. I like the simple blue puzzle cannon worlds and the camera switching didn't bug me as much. I thought one more world would have solidified the game, the first two words I thought were the best overall in design, and by time world 4 came around I was ready to be done because we got into the darker tone worlds which are never my favorite in Mario games. The rabbids sometimes are funny, sometimes annoying, but not nearly as bad as I thought they would be. Loved the selfie **** would have thought. Overall a fun game worth checking out. I see my self eventually going back to do some of the extra things. 80/100

The choices in this game have consequences, dire consequences, and it's really fun to see the butterfly effect and how it changes the story. It feels like a 90s slasher film in video game form and I commend them for sticking to that theme throughout the narrative. The cast dives into their roles and makes it work and the wife and I found ourselves switching to who we were rooting for to survive at the end of the game. The lore behind the games is pretty interesting, the monster type not my favorite, but I did like how the monster came to be. Some janky animations here and there, but a good looking game overall. The interlude between chapters are a welcome treat, until those go away. It ends abruptly, which I wasn't too fond of, but the ending credits interviews are a welcome treat. One of the greatest platformers ever created. Looking at it now, the levels are little more bare and smaller than when I first played as a kid, but it still holds up. Level design is varied in the 15 worlds, some better than others, but there isn't a world in the game that I think should be cut, that's saying something (best ghost house in any Mario game). All around the designers developed a fun experience while sprinkling challenge throughout. The music is fantastic, the secrets are well thought out, and the variations to how you acquire the power stars keep it feeling fresh. Graphics aren't horrendous, sure its blocky and pointy at times, but it still has that Mario charm that can't be wiped away with age. I was worried about the camera when thinking on replaying this gem again, but I was surprised how few times it was a deterrent to completing my task. There were only two parts where I felt it floundered, and that's pretty good in a five-hour-plus play session. Once I got reacquainted with the controls, it wasn't a hindrance that plagued my entire sessions. An excellent game, if you haven't given this one a chance, go play it.

And some of the dream sequences are ridiculously dumb with how the main guy kills you in one shot and you have to retry over and over to find the critical **** it's usually just one little movement wrong to avoid death. Some harsh scenes which don't get expanded on. The past scenes and the story that comes from it, fit together well, but it isn't worth most of a slog game. The blood rain is cool visually though.
