WoW's Cataclysm to FF14. Felt very much like more of a transition period than a solid entry in the series. Even funnier reason for earlier comparison: the later patch content feels more solid and developed, just like Cata Path 4.2. Let's just hope the end for this doesn't come off as anti-climactic as that expansion's did.

I have resurrected my Nintendo 64 for the explicit purpose to play this again. I have no regrets.

Artifact system was going to lead to some poor design choices in the future, but for what it was, was still awesome. A great way to cap off my WoW experience before I retired. Of course, the expansion wasn't perfect, a few story bits felt a tad rushed, ending probably would've made more sense had they included the cut bits, but it was fun. A refreshing and epic experience after the dregs of WoD.

Decided for a retroactive review. This was almost the end of it for me, which I wish it wasn't. I'm trying to be generous, but it just was not great and the story was all over the place. Felt like more manpower was being put into making Legion awesome, but came at the detriment of this expansion. Who could've guessed WoW would dip farther down though.

Nice sound design, a story that helps flesh some things out from the source material while also doing its own thing. Still listening to some tracks while jogging
