Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin10
Jun 15, 2023
Castlevania Portrait of Ruin is one of my favorite Castlevania games. The two character system adds another layer to the combat, there's a wealth of awesome subweapons and spells to try out, the portraits allow for more variety in the locations you'll visit, and the soundtrack is very memorable. It's an excellent game and a must have for the DS.

Enter the Gungeon9
Aug 26, 2020
Enter The Gungeon is a shining example of how to combine genres and gameplay ideas. You explore dungeons broken into individual rooms with enemies to kill and loot to find. At the same time, you also engage in refreshingly challenging gunfights that resemble many popular games in the bullet hell genre. The bosses and enemies in this game are incredibly tough to beat, and there's rarely a dull moment. This game demands everything from you, and getting better allows you to get further and further with each attempt. The gameplay loop of exploring dungeons, finding new guns/upgrades, and fighting enemies is engaging and rewards the player's skill and resourcefulness. Item and resource management in this game is key to success, and players are often given critical choices that can make or break a playthrough such as whether to buy an ammo refill, get a new gun, or buy health powerups. The game's graphics are also pure eye candy, utilizing impressive lighting effects and well designed and animated pixel art. The controls are also well implemented, with the ability to customize them to fit your preferences. The visual style and humor give the game some character. The absolute absurdity of some weapons and enemies as well as a plethora of pop culture references kept me chuckling throughout my time with the game. Overall, if you love the thrill of high stakes gunfights, searching for loot, or want a game that will challenge you without being too punishing, Enter the Gungeon is an excellent choice, and at $15, you're definitely getting your money's worth!

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)0

Sonic 06 is an absolute slap in the face to all Sonic fans. This game is a broken mess. There are glitches everywhere, the graphics are unimpressive, the story is stupid and confusing, and the game as a whole is uninteresting. The only good thing about this game is the soundtrack. I'm a hardcore sonic fan, but this is not even worth renting for a laugh.

Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut9
Jun 29, 2016
Sonic Adventure is a great game that sadly has not aged very well. The cut scenes are very bad and the game has a couple of glitches. All the characters, accept for Big are all very fun to play as. Big requires a lot of patience. Although SA1 has it's problems, Sonic Adventure is still fun to play to this day. The Sonic stages are all fast and very fun, Knuckles stages are fun, Amy's are good, E102 is great, Tails is just like sonic, and Big is OK. The Soundtrack for this game is an outright masterpiece! The graphics are good for a game cube game. Overall, I highly recommend SA1 as long as you understand that this game is just very old and must be played in the proper perspective.
