This is genuinely as close as resident evil is going to get to being a survival horror, it's really saddening that there's a lot of fans soiling their panties over the first person perspective and the new 'nemesis" if you will, i feel like the only way they're gonna be pleased is if it was a fixed camera (the sad fact is that no one apart from the hardcore fanbase will buy that, so many people who want to jump into the series hate the perspective and it just won't sell in todays market) capcom might not be perfect but this is exceeded my expectations. The exploration is great and i love me some backtracking (crow key, snake key to unlock more stuff etc) the combat feels held back intentionally as a way of raising tension much like the evil within guns can miss just as easily as they hit. My criticism in the game is i want more enemy types, that is one criticism fans made i can get behind but other than that its a joy and definitely better than the cluster**** that is re6 (it's late so my grammar and spelling won't be on point but you feel me) definitely recommend but if you're after serious bang for buck maybe wait for a slight drop it's only 10 hours long and while its an amazing game its one that leaves you hungry for more.

Honestly i cant for the life of me figure out why i didn't like this game dishonored was amazing this for some reason despite all of its play styles is just boring and lacking in charm. Throwing bodies and people off cliffs are pretty satisfying but that alone cant save the game from its tedium, **** story and lack of innovation. Honestly if you haven't played the first game this will seem amazing experiencing ways to tackle levels but from someone who's already been there done that its all a bit familiar and samey

Well this game was something i been keeping tabs with since its original trailer, it was a game i had lukewarm expectations for since lollipop chainsaw was a bit disappointing to say the least. However this on the other hand exceeded my expectations greatly, it's so nice to see a full free to play game its like a lovely Christmas gift. Basically I'm 12 floors in so far it gave me a great 6-8 hours i honestly think I'll be in the 100s for this game it feels like a soulslike crossed with persona 3s dungeon crawling. I hope the devs add pvp and fixes to make this great game even greater. I'm tired grammar is awful point is try this out already.

this game does not deserve such a low user score from what i played this game is a big improvement over number 5 such as leons campaign, it feels like a nice nostalgia trip as it constantly reminded me of 2 and 4. also jakes campaign is also really enjoyable sure it is not resident evil scary or action on par with uncharted but the set pieces were entertaining and story really good. on the downside though chris redfields campaign fails in several levels i thought both him and his partner were not entertaining as a duo and quite irritating not grinder and whatever his face bad but just not great, also if this was the most action heavy part why on earth did they still make ammo conservation vital there should have been a decent load of ammo available but because there was not it was overall very tedious as with jakes campaign there is not that much javo to defeat and his hand to hand is awesome i just felt this one was unnecessary overall this game is worth the money as there is a lot of content included there is also a lot of things i did not point out but they are probably already mentioned.

I really dont agree with all these reviews it is still an enjoyable game as any. However the game has been dumbed down considerably so it is understandable for the fans backlash but overall combat is still good if a little tedious and the story is as over the top as before plus multiplayer is ok. Also i bought this game for 10 quid new in asda so it helps that i did not pay 4 times that for a dumbed down experience but if you find it for that price buy it , finish it, and trade it in you probably wont regret it.

my feelings towards this game have been mixed very mixed it had a ton of potential but in the end it was let down by crappy AI harsh QTE's and tedium as its the same thin slightly diffrent area find the witch kill it and keep gretchen alive the thing is i am not a fan of escorting and protecting people like RE4 you protect the presidents daughter even though this is annoying you could hide her command her etc the AI wasnt the best but it was bearable on the other hand gretchens AI is so bad you it will make most people hate the game she falls down alsot she is easily killed she dosent protect herself its just not fun if this thing was fixed i would give the game a 6 but alas this it to broken to enjoy much and i think most people will agree with me

This game is like marmite for silent hill fans some love it, some hate it, while i hate marmite i love this game but tbh i love every silent hill game and if i compared every one this would be the weakest to save rambling on i will just write a list of pros and cons PROS: it's silent hill for next gen the graphics are good coupled vit physics the enemy AI was good and liked that if you accidently knocked somthing over it would alert them story was good in my opinion combat was nice and understandable as the protagonist is not a everyman but was in the army the schisms and siams @ times scared the S**t out of me multiple endings as usual and some of them are decent CONS: puzzles felt weak in my opinion scares felt cheap at times and there were rarely moments of panic apart from the a couple of locations and this would of been partly contributed by select in the hard difficulty soon enimies are easily dispatched and exploitable apart from the schism also the schism was quite unfair to fight because of a ceartin attack it has other than those minor points there is plenty to love even though i wish team silent would reform as i prefer the originals

First things first this game is as difficult as people have been saying but never in my life have i found a rpg or even game quite like this not only i don't rage every time i die i learn from my mistake and overcome like at the start a powerful armoured knight was guarding something i died going head on but then i found out if i lure him to the building with the ladders i could safely bombard him with firebombs and arrows i am loving this game so far and recommend this as a must buy for rpg enthusiast's or gamers who like a challenge
