The third season takes a major step back, the last few episodes this seems entirely like a marital drama. Sure their relationship has always been key to the show but here they start to act like children without any sense, they are not the powerful couple we saw in S1 but the problem isn't there, it's the reason behind it, it feels entirely like the sole reason they are fighting each other is to give the show something to rely on, and that plot isn't nearly as good as the previous two seasons.

Kevin Spacey breaking the 4th wall is just brilliant. And sooner rather than later you realize the Underwoods aren't your ordinary couple.

S7 has some plotholes, but its main issue has to do with the villain, Game Of Thrones is a show that doesn't give you the typical good guy/bad guy story, all the main characters have flaws and virtues. But the Night King / White Walkers look like nothing more than our typical villain who are evil without any reason. They don't have nearly as much character development as all the other characters. Even with all that, Game Of Thrones S7 still does a great job continuing its main characters' arcs to set everything up for what hopefully is gonna be an epic final season next year.

Game of Thrones' 1st season might feel a little confusing with all the complex characters and storylines that it throws at us from the start but we fell in love with the show from the very first episode. S1 also makes it very clear this wasn't the typical show where main characters wouldn't pay the price for their mistakes, and even though it left us heartbroken I'm pretty sure we all appreciated that.
