When I walked into the theatre, I had three expectations. One: the film pays homage to the source material. Bonus points for the kind of shenanigans your average D&D enjoyer gets up to. Two: the film respects women (y'know, literally half of the population. I'm a guy and the male gaze in cinema makes me feel uncomfortable). Three: the film simply being good all by itself. It exceeded my expectations in all three. It's tight, action-packed and the humour is on-point. Go watch it; you won't be disappointed.
