The biggest aspect that Ultimate Tenkaichi has going for is it´s ambition to try something really different for the fighting formula established in the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi, but at the end it falls apart. The combat barely has a significant strategy, the cutscenes animations are awful and hero mode is so under developed that they might as well hadn´t implemented at all. It´s not all bad though, the graphics themselves are great and the OST is solid, though repetitive. However these are minor good things in an otherwise disappointing experience for DBZ fans
Uncharted 3 is not a bad game at all. The graphics are amazing for the system, the main cast is as charming as ever and the combat at it´s core is still quite fun. However the plot structure is a total mess, the ending feels rushed and the more open level design only makes the difficulty more cheap and unforgiving. Still, this is a pretty good game, though nowhere near as great as among thieves.
Looking back i can certainly see why more than a few people hate Burt Limit. The story mode feels very underwhelming and the content is definetly lacking, even compared with the very first Budokai title on the PS2. Even so, when it comes to the game itself and it´s mechanics, it´s surprisingly pretty solid. While it isn´t anything revolutionary it can be pretty darn fun, especially with friends. Although it´s clear that Burst Limit wasn´t finished, considering how cheap you can find it today, i´d say that it´s worth it for the combat and graphics alone.
This collection is a mix-bag. On one hand you have Kingdom Hearts beautifully remastered in HD with a whole lot of extra features not present in the original US release. On the other hands this collection only runs at 30 fps, loading times are noticeably longer than in the original and although chain of memories is not a bad title by any means, it´s fair to say that most of your time will be dedicated to KH1. Still, the positives do out weight te negatives and if you want to get into the series and don´t have a PS4 this is a fine way of getting started.
Crash of the titans not only barely represents anything related from Crash Bandicoot aside from characters names and visual gags, but it just isn´t a very fun game in it´s own. Although the mutants control well and at first are pretty fun to use, the novelty wears down pretty fast. And although the game does have platforming segments, they are few and far between and certainly nothing compared to the ones present in Crash 2 or Warped. The game is not terrible and it really doesn´t do anything fundamentally horrible. Kids can potentially have some fun playing it for the first time. But that doesn´t deny that this is a pretty average title.
inFAMOUS 2 is a great sequel that improves the original formula in a lot of ways. The combat and shooting is more fun than before, the mobility of Cole is greatly expanded and the new powers are really entertaining. However there are some issues. The karma system feels really underdeveloped in the story department, and the combat, although great, rally does not innovate much by third person shooter standers. Still, this is a great exclusive for the PS3 and a emotional conclusion to Cole Mccragth´s adventure.
Jak II was already a great game, questionable difficulty spikes and lack of checkpoints aside. And fortunately for the Playstation 3 you pretty much get the same experience only now in a prettier 720p resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Obviously this is pretty standar by HD remasters, but this also means that is pretty much the best version of Jak 2 that you can get on a physical format. A part of me whishes that they would have incorporated o more present checkpoint system, but that is pretty much my only complaint. As such i´m giving it the same score as i would with the original on the ps2
The first Storm game supports a great combat system, with some gimmicks left out in the sequels, such as jutsu clashes, start a match in awakening mode and over the top ultimates, and the minigames can occasionally be fun. Of course the game looks beautiful, even to this day it´s one of the best looking games based on an anime. However the game has some serious issues, the hub world doesn´t offer much to do other than generic task or annoying town missions, and the story it´s pretty weakly told in comparison to it´s sequels, people who aren´t fans of Naruto will not understand what´s going on in the story. Also, there aren´t a lot of modes apart form the story mode and battles offline, not even online play, and lastly we have the load times which can be pretty damn long. But despite this, Storm 1 maybe is just a good game on it´s own, but there is no doubt that it´s also a great Naruto game and a solid start for the series
With a great premise filled with interesting characters, fun and creative gameplay and a fantastic soundtrack, this game is something special indeed. The only issues with it are that you can´t skip any cut-scenes, which ultimately reduces the replay value, and on very few occasions the game did not respond correctly to the touch controls. But these are minor flaws in an otherwise excellent game.
A great game indeed, with fantastic graphics and innovative gameplay, not to mention a great story with memorable characters. The only problems with it are the (at times) frustrating tank controls, and occasional annoying grinding. But despite this, Valkyria Chronicles is still a fantastic game, no matter which console you play it on. Without a doubt one of the best games of the last generation.
I love Spider man, i really do, but this game is just bad. For starters the combat is way too straightforward and much more limited than the Arkham series, secondly we have the terrible story which never knows wich plot to develop properly. And then we have all of the potentially great ideas wasted, for example the hero/menace mechanic, choosing optional topics of conversation and the upgrade system. The bosses are very simple and quite boring and the hub world is almost completely unnecessary. But despite of all of this, i did find some positives: the web swinging is great and probably the best so far, spiderman is very acrobatic which makes the web swinging even more fun, and lastly i love that you can view comics in a comic book store owned by Stan Lee. But overall, sadly this game is not good, and only the biggest fans of spiderman will find it enjoyable, quite disappointing indeed.
First of all, the day stages are fantastic and some of the best in the entire series and i actually found the night stages to be quite fun because of the variety of combos and platforming segments, they are not great, but they are not bad either, and the soundtrack is awesome. However, the game has some serious technical issues, mainly with the unstable framerate. The sun and moon medal hunting is a completely unnecessary addition which is only present to make the game longer. And lastly we have the last two boss fights which are terrible and some of the worst in the series. But overall, this game is good, if you can look past the flaws previously mentioned, you will have a good tim
