I loved lost especially when it was still coming out weekly on tv. It was one of the best shows especially at the time with a large cast of well written characters and the mystery of the Island. But unfortunately the ending was kind of a let down and since it was partially a mystery knowing how the ending does live up to the build up it does kill any motivation to rewatch the entire series for me. But if you have never seen it the buildup to the end is still worth it even with the ending and I would recommend it.

The acting, action, and visuals were all good but the buildup throughout the season was much better than the ending. There were plot holes and inconsistent character writing. Some characters were written really well like Cooper but others like Maximus were awkward. Maximus's character comes off as confused and stupid when I think they are trying to make him into a guy struggling to become a hero. There are some cool scenes with random characters similar to the side stories in the game but the main story line starts to fall apart in the final episode. If you don't know anything about the games then it's ok as a TV show but the ending didn't get me excited for season 2 and I don't have an urge to rewatch season 1 like I would for better shows. If you did play the games you probably will not like the changes they made to the lore and the fact that the story from the Fallout: New Vegas game got removed from the TV show timeline because Todd Howard still hates that it's regarded as better than any of the Fallout games he made.

Doctor Who Season 1 to 8 is in my top 3 shows of all time and I have rewatched them several times and this season made me stop watching Doctor who to give context to how much Chris Chibnall failed with this season. Before you dismiss this low score because I must just be someone who hates female leads or diversity I actually was not as negative about the show as others when it was first revealed Jodie Whittaker would be the doctor or that Chibnall would be taking over. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I saw them in Broadchurch and they were awesome in there. I watched the entire season and while there were some decent parts it had lost what made Doctor Who great. Jodie's character did not have any or had very little of the eccentric mannerisms, epic moments, and comedy that made the Doctor great. She also never felt like she was a force to be reckoned with like the previous Doctors. The stories and villains weren't that interesting either compared to previous seasons. I know Jodie can act so I put most of the blame on the BBC and Chibnall because he can not write Science Fiction/Adventure to save his life. The most memorable episode for me and one of the high points in the season was the episode "Demons of Punjab" but it wasn't because it felt like a great Doctor Who episode it was because it felt more like Broadchurch. I feel like this should have told them to fire Chibnall since he was not the right fit for Doctor Who. I also felt like the BBC chose the 3 new companions mainly for the sake of diversity and they ended up splitting the time the Doctor and the 3 companions had to endear themselves onto the audience. In previous introductions of new Doctors they always had 1 companion that was introduced so they could be fleshed out better alongside the Doctor and later they introduced extra companions or introduced the other companions when the first one was not around for a while. But it felt like they forced it and the show suffered. Which is stupid because Doctor Who has always been liberal but they never had to push woke agendas and their diverse characters were more organic. Martha Jones, Mickey Smith, and Captain Jack were a black female, black male, and an Omni Sexual person and they were fan favorites. In fact people have been begging for Captain Jack and Torchwood to come back for years but the BBC ignored them. The previous showrunner Steven Moffat had wasted Peter Capaldi as the Doctor because he also was not given great material to work with and people were calling for him to be fired for years but the BBC kept him around for too long and when they finally changed when he quit they found a way to make it even worse. The BBC showed with this season they do not care about Doctor Who, it's legacy, or it's fans and as long as they hold the rights it will not get better. So in my mind Doctor Who died a slow death with Capaldi's Doctor and everything after is just BBC fan fiction to sell merchandise.
