Whatever drugs Lanthimos is on, he seem to be taking more and more of them.

Who writes this garbage? For whom??
Even the shots of the location were lazy and lame.

I'm sorry, but what the F is this? Because it's not The Electric State. Most of these actors are hard to watch in GOOD movies, but this is just .... No, seriously? What were they trying to do? Did NOBODY read the source material?

I was really glad with some choices they made - feeling like almost a tribute to the previous two famous versions. Sure, this is cleaner and everyone's an actor - unlike in the previous cases where a lot of the locals were genuine - but I loved the fact the vampire didn't get hotter with each scene, (and they hinted at the serial killer Vlad Tepesh's likeness, keeping the lore even more horrid), or that they could have ignored the homoeroticism entirely, but didn't. I still have some questions, but overall, I can't wait to see it again.

I have absolutely no idea why people who hate kids so much reproduce. The character in this mess literally loses her humanity and dignity over the disaster that is having offspring. I'd understand if this was in the 18th century, where options weren't a thing yet, but these days, where nobody would care if she remained child-free? Has NOT reproducing and going nuts never occurred to whoever wrote this garbage?

It's nowhere as bad as I worried (like the last one) and although the misogyny and idiotic approach to archaeology are slightly fixed (I mean, don't get me wrong, the only female on the poster is still only as large as Antonio Banderas, who is in the movie for a minute), but the budget is amazing, the locations are awesome, even some of the mysteries are cute. It's still a cartoon, but ... worth the ticket price.

Painfully boring. There are whiny woke speeches intermittent with endless gratuitous violence, intermittent with whiny woke speeches.

Well-paced, well designed and of course, frightening and frustrating: while women will always find a way to fight patriarchy, patriarchy will always find religious fools to fight for them.

Adorable. As if Tarantino had a thirteen-year-old cousin and his cinematographer was bored, and this was their first movie.

Even if you are not into the idea we are where we are because of magic mushrooms or how trees talk to one another or how fungi are the most important thing ever, the thought of going into the woods the next time and finding a tripping crazy old hippy on top of a tree, screaming at the universe, is too cute to pass. This one is worth watching for the amazing imagery alone.

To be perfectly honest, if I switch off my brain completely, I could watch a few hours more of Vegas being blown up and zombies coming to life in the rain and more of the S&Roy menagerie. A f***able zombie villain you actually wanna know more about and feel bad for his loss? When has that ever been done before in such a fun popcorn parody? A dumb fun movie for a change. Haven't seen that since before corona.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert9
Feb 9, 2021
I truly love this film - it's one of the rarest portrayals of marginalised societies and loneliness and people constantly looked down on (and believe me, it touches on EVERY version thereof - natives, immigrants, LGBT, rednecks, cabaret...) still keeping it bright and upbeat. Though the leads tackle heavy subjects constantly, their sense of humour is awesome. And this was before it was super fun to be open about anything.

I love this genre: the shoestring-budget rookie-director unknown-actors horror-comedy that doesn't take itself seriously, but none the less has some surprising writing and impressive acting. The lead guy is such a mess and still you can't wait for more of his on-screen time.

I love it how Metacritic is rating Joker lower than Batwoman. It should tell you all you need to know about the woke phase of the mental state they are in.
