In one word, destiny would be shallow. I sensed it from the moment I played the beta and hit level 8 in two hours. Now dont get me wrong: Destiny was worth the hours I put into it, but how many more hours I can get out of it is the problem. Ill just go in order of whats best to worst: Gameplay: extremely solid and fluid movement that fits expectations of what people call "Next-Gen" Graphics: Again, the most gorgeous game out there save Ground Zeroes or maybe that new LOTR game, but mostly just once more an excellent example of what people purchased a PS4 or xbone for. Atmosphere: I still love the story and lore behind the traveler, speaker, and enemies that attack you. It makes sense; to me the story is actually reminiscent to Lord Genome's job in Gurren Lagann; the traveler provided humans with too much power that would make them evolve and expand too fast. Overall, the atmosphere and lore set up is excellent, Id be okay with spin-off games that expand on the story because: Story: In comparison to this universe they set up it is awful, I wont spoil anything but there isnt much to spoil. You wont find out much about the traveler and you wont feel any closer to stopping the enemies, well I suppose you stop one group of enemies in a mediocre final mission. Oh and dont get me started on how every mission requires 3 deploying of your ghost; objectives feel pointless. RPG elements: Some cool things here but nothing that got me really excited to hit max level like I thought I would be. MMO elements: They mash in nearly every thing that a basic mmo has, rep grinding, gear level, raids, dailies, and so forth. But they do all of these in such tiny and insignificant ways it becomes annoying for the audience present. People who play and want to play destiny are mostly among the same crowd that love shooters and rpgs, it brings them together but mmo players will be disappointed and shooter fans annoyed. Multiplayer: yup this is down there. I could go into vivid detail about so much, but here Ill keep it short: 1. The guns that you get through playing the game are almost all identical, save some legendaries. It seems that there are soo many different guns and possibilities but when it comes down to the multiplayer there really is only one per class because they all feel the same, and I have played a good deal of multiplayer. There is also huge balance issues leaving the auto rifle and shotgun the two best weapons for the "crucible" as they call it. 2. The game modes are un-inspired and not very interesting at all, you have TDM, FFA, headquarters, and control which is the only new thing theyve brought to multiplayer, and is just tdm/domination. 3. The maps are pretty, but mostly just close quarters messes that get agitating fast, but that is mostly opinionated. 4. The announcer is FANTASTIC, give him some more lines. Last but least: Strikes/pve The strikes are uninspired time wasters that are only fun the first time once you realize you are just unloading ammo into some big-health-instakill-machine for every single strike, sometimes even twice a strike. Some bosses like this are okay, but they all are like that. The only interesting strike is actually the raid, so you have to have the best gear to fight the most entertaining fight in the game. Outside of strikes it is rep grinding which I dont want to go into how boring that can be. Overall, Destiny is getting a 6/10: With such fluid movement, atmosphere, and graphics, I really feel like I shouldnt already want to sell this game, but everything else is just not appealing after logging another 10+ hours into it.

Borderlands 2 was an interesting and fun experience. I played the first and just knew I had to have the next. I was not dissapointed. But my eyes were also opened to some errors. The story itself was actually pretty interesting this time around and the end of the game is worth the experience. (you also get more than some dollars from tannis as in the first game). All of the side quests are interesting and rewarding. New enemy types help get the game away from the very few types in the first. Sure youll still find yourself with our psycho friends a lot of the time, but even they have some new friends. Badass enemies feel more frequent, talent trees are perfectly laid out, and the co op is fun, but sometimes not rewarding. Playing with anybody that isnt your friend is impossible, but with a friend it can still be an amazing co op experience. The only problem with co op is there isnt any strategy. That shouldnt be what people come to Borderlands 2 for but the co op acclaim can be misleading to few. What im saying is the co op can be a blast with friends, but the fights wont be too challenging. Borderlands 2 is a shoot and loot not an in depth challenging tactical rpg.

I was a big cs source fan and comming from it, I have some pros and cons. The good things are that the game looks great, feels great, and the weapons feel like they have a purpose. There feels to be a little more variety to this game than source, I felt that source ended up an ak/m4 war with the occasionally awp/scout. I feel like all of the guns are priced to the point that each gun has a purpose (besides maybe the pistols, why blow 400$ on a tiny upgrade in pistol when you could have grenades of all sorts). Besides the zues failing to show a purpose, it all feels right. The matchmaking works really well, and the serverbrowser is classic, they know to keep that the same. The cons arent enough to shy this game away from great but they are there. As with all counterstrike games, stratagy such as positioning and purchasing is almost always far less important than aim. Thats why there is a learning curve, most of the game is based on your ability to get that headshot. Dont get me wrong, this isnt the worst thing, because its much worse when its like CoD and all you have to do is use the same loadout. At least it takes skill, but your fun time can get ruined by one guy having godlike aim, but I digress, it can happen in every game. Other Cons include, which I guess this one is more for console versions, the maps. Theres only about 10 for classic gamemodes (but servers are already up with user made maps) and 4 for the new gamemode Demolition, with only 2 for gungame. The classic maps are good, the demolition maps are actually really good, and the gungame maps just dont feel right. The main con here is the underwhelming amount. That brings me to another pro (i know, outta place), Demolition. This gamemode has only one thing I dont like about it: its really simple. All it is gungame with stratagy. But it works, it feels different and skillful in its own respect, such as awarding really good rounds with grenades and flashbangs. This is not to mention that the maps they made for it are pretty good for the one-bombsite purpose they were aiming for. TLDR: Good game, GREAT game for the measly $15 price tag, if you have the choice, PC is the way to go to get the most out of it, but console players will still enjoy the experience presented. 1.6 fans will be dissapointed because of thier hardcore attitude, but casual and pro source players will probably respect the game, and remember, source and 1.6 will still be there. PS, a ton of gamemodes (like surf and jail) are already working on GO, the transfer was apparently pretty smooth.

Diablo 3 is a great dungeon crawler to be remembered. The abilities are scripted throughout the levels to keep the game challenging so you wont auto-unlock the best abilities. Every character has 24 abilities, with 4 for each slot, and each ability has 5 different effects/types through a rune system that is also scripted in leveling up. Many have an issue with this and believe the game has no customization. There are still passives to choose from and PLENTY of items to find or even make. The real thing people are overlooking is the gameplay. They complain about less customization, and even more aggravating to give a game a bad review for, the day one servers (which will never be good on day one). The singleplayer/online is only a minor flaw, which to blizzard is protecting the game from torrents. What is the true gem here, is the gameplay! Truly PHENOMENAL gameplay that most are too arrogant to realize. TL;DR great abilities, gameplay, and plenty of customization
