This is NOTHING like Downton Abbey. Now that we have got that out of the way, this show is painfully hard to watch. The acting of most of the characters is bad, like a high school production of fiddler on the roof bad. It feels very forced, and like they just expect a period piece with maids to hit as Downton Abby did, this doesn't. It's a very slow burn, boring, and when they don't have good acting to back up the pace it falls very flat on its 1900's face. The set design and costumes are magnificent, which I expected for an HBO piece, however, this show is just boring, dull, and full of mundane actors who don't know how to work with the slow, clunky, conversations in the script. Honestly would be SHOCKED to see this show stick around. Do yourself a favor and watch anything else.

This show is actually really well done, although it does take time to get there. Like others have said it's a bit of a slow burn. They put the emphasis on world-building and it pays off at the end of season 1 leaving you eager for another. I do wish that anyone other than Cara was cast, she can't hold up with the other amazing actors in this show and Orlando Bloom deserved someone better to have opposite him. Bloom is AMAZING in this show, he really shines and makes this show what it is. Is it heavy-handed on the racial tension and current state the world? Yes. Do the characters need more work? A bit yes. Is this an addicting show full of fantasy and intrigue? YES. To the person who clearly did NOT pay attention to the first episode and based their decision on this series on misinformation - in the first scene if you were to pay attention, you'd notice there was razor wire strung up in the trees, and MANY dead Fae stuck in it. They had no options to fly away until they made it out of the woods. It was a gruesome and great opening to this series. They also reference the slaughter later on mentioning the trap they set for them in the woods with the wire so they had to run and get shot in the back. Overall this is different than most shows out there, it gives you that great mix of fantasy, steampunk, magic, and more. It's worth watching and checking out, it does not knock your socks off, but is a fun long weekend binge. I think they will build on this show and only make it better.

Oh lord this should be called "American Horror Story - **** TRUMP" because this show just rams down your throat Trump, Trump, Trump. How is he president, how did this happen.... blah blah blah. Jesus within the first 10 mins I had to stop watching. I want an escape from that orange anus, this show just drives him further down our throats. I honestly hated this show after season 4, heard some good things about Cult, decided to check it out. This is a terrible show, I shouldn't be surprised. It honestly doesn't need to be political - that adds nothing to the plot of this show and bashing us over the head with **** trump" just honestly makes this so painful to watch.

Painfully unfunny. Insufferable main character. Zero chemistry or believability they she is married to her husband. There is literally nothing funny about this because it tries way too hard to be funny and fails. It's a goth mom whose not fit to be a mom frankly but her behaviour isn't funny or quirky or against the norm it's just down right stupid and annoying. Don't watch this. It's such a waste of time. And no I'm not a man who is hating on a feminist show like someone else commented. I'm a female who finds this idiotic.

What a FANTASTIC SHOW! It's got everything I want, Comedy, darkness, depth, drama. It's honestly very addicting and there have been so many moments that I was heartbroken, laughing my ass off, furious and more. It is well produced and written so well that you really do fall into this show and it knows exactly how to keep you hooked and make you feel for the characters. Do yourself a favour watch the first two episodes, you'll be hooked. The power female leads make me even more happy about this show. Makes me want to be a producer lol.

One of the most underrated comedies out there. It has consistently delivered each season, with the same humour and style. I haven't been let down yet and this season is already off to a great start. Hilarious show, great acting, do yourself a favour and binge watch this now!

Serial meets The Jinx. So gripping, so depressing, so hard to watch because you can't believe how bad and unfair things can really be but you also stop and question yourself for siding with the protagonist because maybe, just maybe you're wrong, he's guilty.... A MUST watch!
