This is Burton at his most Burton. The effects are great, the performances are really funny, and the story is morbidly fantastical. It's honestly weird I haven't seen it until now, definitely one of Burton's best.

This is the best movie ever. I do not care what anyone will ever say. This movie, it's just perfect entertainment. I was fully invested the entire runtime, I was never even aware of the concept of boredom throughout any scene. The actors know what movie their in, and they love it. It will never stop pissing me off how underrated Martin Short **** only real complaint I have is Natalie Portman's character, who is just Lydia Deets again, but I dont care. I loved this so much, it's so funny, so odd, and so pointless. I get that people were mad this followed Burton's more serious trend of movies like Ed Wood and Edward Scissorhands, but I will never care a single time, ever. In conclusion, this movie is great, fight me.

A movie with glaring problems, held together by strong dialogue and even stronger performances. The absolute un-necessity of certain scenes and characters ultimately damages the film to such an extent that I really can't say I enjoyed the duration of the film. But, with a heart wrenching conclusion, and the best male performance of the year from Chadwick Boseman, it is worth seeing, even if just to enjoy parts of what could have been an amazing whole.

This movie is a masterpiece. I don't normally say this, and I don't want to come off as a gatekeeper, but if you didn't like this movie, I don't think you got it. I know that is ferociously pretentious, but this movie really struck a chord with me, in a way few other films do. The symbolism is effortlessly genius, the performances are wild, and definitely Oscar-worthy. A special nod of acknowledgment goes to Toni Collete, for consistently being in awesome films, and gifting awesome performances with them. The effects are great, the dialogue exquisite, and the lighting and cinematography, oooh it's so good why doesn't everyone love it!?!?! I don't wanna talk about spoilers, and with this film everything is a spoiler. If you haven't watched it, you simply have to trust me, and watch it as soon as possible. This is the best movie of the year, probably my favourite film since Whiplash in 2014. Watch it.

This is a masterpiece of modern cinema. The flawless script is so carefully and attentively put together, giving every scene significance both during the first watch and subsequent ones. The plot moves at a buttery-smooth pase, leaving an amazing feeling as the camera slides over to another scene in an instant, giving the movie both a quick and steady motion that does not let for the entire duration. Ok, this might just be a 7/10, but god damn did I love watching this movie. It is so **** fun. The r-rated antics of the birds are fun, all the actors are having the time of their lives, the action is completely nonsensical, but god, is it entertaining. Ewan McGregor completely steals the show in what might be his best performance, completely devouring the scenery with his insane expressions and bizarre dialogue. As a fan of the comics it's also fun seeing Zsasz as Black Mask's sidekick. Margo Robbie reprises her role as the only good thing about suicide squad, and Montoya was a surprisingly likeable addition to the team. The effects were great, the plot was stupid, and the soundtrack was inspired. The sequence were Harley imagines her current situation as a music video was pretty hilarious as well. A great, dumb, and **** ridiculous movie. I haven't been this entertained in a cinema for years. But, just judging it as a movie, it is pretty bad at explaining the time jumps, the narration is inconsistent, blablabla, I dont care this is so **** fun. Watch it if you like gory, ridiculous action and spectacular performances.

Okay, Gerwig is now one of my favourite directors. Saoirse Ronan's performance was particularly amazing, although everyone did a great job. Timothy Chalamet was unusually interesting in this one, playing a character with charm, rather than just another emo. I really hope he will bring this sort of charisma into his other **** direction is flawless, the time jumps are inspired, and the way the lighting is used just totally floored me. Fantastic film with a great cast, flawless music, and incredible direction. Could have gone without Emma Watson's sort of out of place performance, but beyond that, it is an amazing film.

This is possibly the best film I have ever seen. Maybe not my favourite, but almost definitely the best. Only The Shining rivals it, in my opinion. Good job on Jack Nicholson and Scattman Crothers for being in both, by the way. The beauty in its direction, the sometimes beautiful, but sometimes chilling score, and the absolutely mind blowing performances, they all mix together like the spices in a good meal. It's fantastic. Jack Nicholson plays the raunchy, but somewhat likeable lead with biting wit and later crushing sentimentality. His other inmates, played by the likes of Danny Devito and Christopher Lee, are all fascinating characters in their own right, that you only get to scratch the surface of. And, of course, the oscar winning performance of Louise Fletcher as the chilling, but relatable nurse, who truly believes she is helping the men she keeps captive, is one of the best performances I have ever witnessed. The immense beauty in its finale, the biting relationship between McMurphy and Bramden, the hilarious actions that he does to prove his insanity, his slow decent into madness, the soul crushing emotional climax just before the end, it's too much to comprehend. I can not describe how utterly and truly shocked I was after watching this movie. It is one of the greatest pieces of art ever made, a rare occasion where everything from the casting to the writing was so pitch-perfect it felt as if the stars had aligned just for this masterpiece to exist. If you have not seen this movie, you are missing one of the seventies' greatest films. Watch it if you have ay self respect as a movie watcher.
