One of the worst FPS I have ever played. It only exists as an installment of previous games. By itself it's not good enough at anything to think about. If tiktok didnt hype the **** out of this game no one would care. Even boomers who played the original MW2 only care about this because of the hype. A genuinely terrible game in every aspect, it's insane that people actually enjoy this game when there's so many games that are objectively MILES better. Call of Duty Ghosts was significantly better than this game. And Ghosts ****. People need to let this washed franchise die, it's been on life support for almost 10 years, but Activision is just milking it because they can make millions with almost 0 effort.

This should have been the best fast paced FPS in a long time. It would have been fantastic for both casuals and competitive if Ubisoft wasn't so junk. It really **** that this game didn't reach it's potential. If it was given the love and care it deserves no one would care about call of duty. They completely fumbled this game - it's tremendous at the most important things. Movement feels excellent aside from the weird bunnyhopping, TTK is great, gunplay is fantastic, and the map design is 10/10. Weapon balance is great aside from a few overpowered weapons and a few that just **** - AK47 vs RPK for example. But its absolutely terrible at all the secondary things - and that really detracts from the game. Most modern FPS are just bad by design. Xdefiant is bad because they havent managed it properly. Netcode is absolutely rubbish. Hit detection is bad, there's constant kill trading and hit markers with no damage. But the worst is how often you're shot when you're run into cover, or when someone shoots you before you can see them. The desync is so **** bad for a game in 2024. Most of the ability design is cheesy and annoying. The spiderbot is F tier design. Almost every ability and ultimate is cheap, cringe, requires no skill and is often uncounterable. Every gun in the game has an objective 'best' loadout - which uses exactly the same attachments for almost every weapon. A lot of the gamemodes are great, but a lot arent. The ranked experience is just 0 effort, it's not even worth thinking about. Matchmaking often takes 10+ minutes for me to find a game in Aus. The faction system in theory is fine - but the design is horrible, and horribly balanced. One faction receives reduced headshot damage, and the other just gets more hp...
