I was gonna buy this game until I saw the Online Requirement. Nah son. Take that ish out of your game. It's insulting to gamers. Also, Epic Games Store really needs features like reviews, switch pro controller support, and more. I'll wait for a switch port or see if the always online requirement is the same for Steam
I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a developer. I love all of the GTA games, and GTA 5 was my favorite game for years. I just purchased a gaming PC with a high end gpu (rtx 2060) and the newest intel cpu. I did so with the sole intent to play RDR2, because my other PC couldn't handle it. Now I've spent a little over 20 hours in this game with probably around 17 hours altering graphics settings and reading reddit threads just trying to get this game to run. It's so buggy. It crashes reliably once an hour, and usually more frequently than that. I don't think I ever want to support Rockstar again after this horribly optimized game. And it really **** because I can tell just how beautiful of a piece of art this is. I've reached out to Rockstar support with little help from them. It's a damn shame.
Listen, Rime is a generic open world puzzle game that barely gets any of it's elements right. The graphics are bland. The world is uninteresting. The framerate stutters every few minutes breaking immersion quite often. The puzzles are obvious and require little thinking or exploration. There just doesn't seem to be any tangible reward in engaging with this game's mechanics. Even the movement of the character isn't engaging. You're forced to explore this boring world at a slow crawl with no other movement besides a seemingly pointless role, and flacid jump. There's not much positive I can say about this game other than the atmosphere and music being peaceful and non-offensive. I wouldn't spend more than $5.
