Great combat, decent level design, lots of varied and cool monster designs, awesome exploration, great world design and stunning vistas. This combined with a really high level of polish on release, and boss fights that are always epic, just ticks all of the boxes for an action/adventure game.

I loved everything about this game, the art style is just fantastic, the city is stunning in its decay. The story is engaging, and it is all held together by a fantastic musical score. The levels are all different, some linear (in a good way) or small open world areas that are great to explore. The puzzles are simple but fun, the enemies are not too difficult to beat, but add some tension. Just an enjoyable, beautiful, relaxing game - took me 9 hours, and I looked everywhere and for everything, talking to all of the companion droids.

I'm a huge fan of the first game, so I know my views may be biased, but for me, this is a great game. Is it perfect? No, not quite, but it is damned close. First of all, graphics are superb. There has been just 1 pop in that I have noticed (a bridge I was almost stood on when it appeared in front of me). As with the first game, some of the vistas are just gorgeous. Water, fish, trees and the machines are all top notch, not to mention Aloy herself. In fact, during the cut scenes, the human animations are almost perfect. The little details in the working villages, seeing everyone doing stuff, makes it feel like a lived in world. Voice acting is solid. Music is subtle, but well balanced. The noise of the world itself, again, great. Combat is such good fun, and you can really play to your style, with tons of options, from laying traps, sniping whilst hiding in grasses, or full on full-frontal assaults. The controls and movements are crisp and really responsive. The story is engaging, the exploration is fun, and some of the puzzles are decent, if not quite Tomb Raider levels. All in all, I loved this game, but I would probably take it down to an 8.5 if I could (I couldn't so it gets a nine) for the following reasons. Aloy's voice sometimes becomes super quiet and I struggle to hear her. When you arrive at a puzzle, if you don't get it almost immediately, she starts giving out hints that are often just the solution. Jeez, give me a moment to look around! Aloy does sometimes like to get stuck on a climb, refusing to reach up for the next hand-hold, which can get annoying. Just to note, I Lastly, I like to clear an area first, and then move on, and the story makes that impossible, so there is a lot of doubling back to earlier locations to complete areas. It's fine, but just, for me, a little frustrating. All in all though, very, very enjoyable, and well worth picking up.

Let me start by saying this game has a lovely style. The artwork is amazing and I love the feel of this crazy little world. It reminds me of The nightmare Before Christmas in a lot of ways. Just stunning. The characters you meet on your journey are fun and quirky, and the quests are never dull. In terms of art and story, this is a 10 easily. What I didn't enjoy so much was the combat. It is very, very repetitive. And depending on the cards you get, man, some of the boss battles can go on for an age. I never felt like I was going to really die that often, but sometimes it would take 30 minutes to beat a boss fight and by the end of it, I was bored of the encounter. Now, that may have been me, and my combat approach, and sure, other peoples mileage may vary on that point. So to conclude, I found Lost In random to be a beautiful, charming and fun game, somewhat hampered by a long, drawn out and frustrating combat system.

I bought this on a bit of a whim when I first picked up my PS5 and had nothing to play. It looked a bit cute and childish, but looked to have a fun puzzle/adventure style to the gameplay. What I found was a charming story, filled with interesting characters, great little puzzles and some really touching moments. Some of the combat is really nicely done, and it does make you think about the style you are using on the different enemies. The skill trees are nicely done, allowing you to pick your style of combat to suit your gameplay. The graphics are pretty, almost in a Pixar cartoon kind of way, and the game ran with no issues at all, no frame drops, no pop-in. I think it took me around 12 hours to complete, which was OK for the €40 price point. I would have like it to have been a little longer, but it was fine. The only reason I have not given this game a 9 or a 10, is that I don't think it has much replay value. But I guess the best compliment I can give is that if there is ever a Kena 2, I will absolutely be buying it.

The game looks fine, generally runs well with just a few minor frame rate drops and pop-ins, and the parkour is great fun and really rewarding when done right. But after the initial fun of running and jumping over the rooftops, or gliding around the city, the game loses its shine. The story is not particularly engaging, but it is OK, serves its purpose I guess, and if I had stuck with just the story, I may have enjoyed the game better, but I do love me a good side quest. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a good side quest here, and don't get me started on the parkour challenges. "I need you to deliver some honey in less that 1 minute 30 seconds because..." is not great writing. Sure, put challenges in, but cut the nonsense diatribe that you have to listen to these dull ass NPC's spout. So, I ignored most of the parkour and combat challenges and stuck to normal side quests, but even they are so damned dull. For example "Book Club". 10 missions I think it was of going to X, find some books, return to the PK library. 10 times! The exact same mission, 10 damned times. It was so boring, but when you've done the first 3, you feel you should see them out. Other great missions include: Find a scarf that blew away. Deliver some letters (also 10 times). Talk to a girl about plants. Jeez they are not good. The game is also buggy as hell. Para-glider fails to open, so you mash the square button until it finally deploys. Missions that have been completed staying on the map. "Double Time" I have completed 3 times, but it fails to register as complete. I've been stuck on scenery, died by being hit through walls by an NPC I couldn't see, had small boss style encounters where my weapon would magically go through them and cause no damage, other bosses that commit suicide before I could even lay a hand on them. (One Renagade camp leader first set fire to himself by walking into a brazier and then fell off a roof). I unlock metro stations to fast travel and when I travel there I get a message saying I'm in a dark zone, which I'm clearly not because I've unlocked the station. I then did a 2 player session and when I returned to my game, some of the things I had unlocked for one faction seemed to now belong to another faction, as that was what was in my friends game. You get given missions, but then do a story mission, and all the side quest missions you had just disappear because the story moves on too far for them to be completed. I also think I was expecting this to be a zombie survival game (I didn't play DL1) so I was also a bit surprised that I ended up just ignoring all of the zombies and running around the city. They are basically no threat at all unless you meet a boss fight zombie. Humans are the real threat, but by the time I reached the level 5 zones, I was so overpowered, they were nothing more than inconveniences. The combat is quite fun though, its pretty basic, but the joy of cutting some poor soul in half or beheading them with a well timed strike is entertaining. So, to sum up, Parkour is fun, it looks quite pretty at times (but its no Horizon FW for sure) and the combat with human Renegades can be entertaining for a bit. But man, it is bloated with absolutely terrible side quests. They put a tweet out saying it would take 500 hours to see everything in the game, collect every item, do every challenge. After 40 hours, I was forcing myself to go back in just to finish the story. There is no way I could face this for 100 hours, let alone 500. I would recommend looking for this in a deep sale, like €20, and then just stick to the main story, that way it will likely be a lot more fun that

I usually wouldn't be someone that would agree any game could be a 10/10, theres always something that drags a game down, even by a small margin, but I cannot find it at all in this game. Played on the Rift, the game looks unbelievably good. The graphics from that first look out across the city, to the infested tunnels and decrepit hotel, they blew my away. The level with Jeff, Oh my god, loved it. The game does feel a little disjointed when going into the zoo section, it feels like it moves from a more creepy stealth game to a shooter, but was still great fun. The weapons feel amazing, especially the shotgun. It was everything that I ever hoped a VR game could be and I have now played through 3 times, and not been bored for 1 second. Thank you Valve, as a Half Life fan, and a VR user, this was everything I dreamed of when I bought the Rift. I hope more developers can reach these dizzying heights.

An amazing game, full of wonderful little details, touching side quests and a brilliant story. The game is pretty, with awesome vistas (reminds me of Horizon: Zero Dawn). The combat is fun, with lots of different moves to master against a large range of enemy types. Have only played as a hidden Ghost rather than a fully honourable Samurai, and its great fun figuring out the best ways to get into a camp and confuse the enemy. Do I stir up a hornets nest to cause panic, light fires by taking down lanterns or just sneak through the camp and use the roof tops to drop down on unsuspecting foes. The combat is really good. Have heard people mention Arkham Asylum, and yeah, can see the similarity. The open maps are done really well, big but not too big that you spend forever getting somewhere with little to do on route. (My one real complaint with Red Dead Redemption 2). Theres also lots of little things to find whilst travelling, from healing springs, hidden shrines and even spots to write poetry. The game does not do any one thing brilliantly. It has really good graphics, very pretty, but not the best. Good, fun combat, but again, I have seen better, good stories and side quests, but when everything is brought together, its also doesn't have any poor points, so ties up in a truly brilliant and fun package
