Way too many trollers and perfectionists are ruling this game with blind biased. The real truth is the game is a great example of story telling in a futuristic setting based in a dark future, the game holds true to any RPG Book game, and this one follows the story exceptionally well. Riveting and heart breaking in many scenes it shows true emotion from the characters and the followers and friends you pick up along the way. I am only about 20 minutes beyond Act II, and this game shows great promise, I advise those that are looking at the bad reviews with a 0 - 1 to ignore these fanatic trolls and make your own decision on how you feel about something as this. In the AAA Game industry, you either like the game or you don't but this does not mean you condemn them for that answer. Story - 10.0 out of 10.0 - They follow the end of Cyberpunk Red and 2020 with a compelling story that holds true to the Book RPG and helps answer many questions in a scenario that left many of us wanting more, and now we have it in a visually inspiring game. Gameplay - 8.5 out of 10.0 - A few glitches here and there make the game have to be reloaded here and there, nothing game breaking or befouling to require anything but a few patches here and there. A great deal of customization, upgrading, skills, perks, and many ways to play and feel like you have the choice, and not geared to going a specific route because the game says so. Sound - 9.0 - 10.0 - Great sound track, a lot of things that feel very real to the era and setting, the combat music, slightly repetitive but can be forgiven slightly as the real sound is in the weapons, effects, and things that go boom!. Handholding - 10.0 out of 10.0 - This game lets you either accept help, or go about your own way of learning, no if ands or buts about it. RPG Elements - 9.0 out of 10.0 - A True, heartbeating, science fiction RPG with all the feel good that goes with it. Its in the same court as Mass Effect 1, a true prodigy of its time, and shows great work by the CDPR going out of their comfort zone to make something as great and spectacular as this title. Replayability - I feel I will play this game as many times if not more than Mass Effect, I mean full runs too, this game shows so much prowess in how your decisions are geared. Branching Dialogs, skill geared dialogs, and many things that have some what Fallout-ish / Mass Effect-Ish feelings and affects as you play.

Price, is a bit gougy, but who can argue with a game that looks, sounds, and appears to be a completely South Park Episode with perks on control and overall fart flattery. Not a g** d*** person, that's who. South Park: The Stick of Truth is a hilarious, well staged, game that places you in the body of a new kid that fits perfectly in a near-perfect replica of the South Park Shows design and graphical content level, with a JRPG Style kind of gameplay and combat system, this game takes the cake, or the beefy cakes right into the hall of fame for "Best Game to Be Based off a TV Show or Movie" Considering in the past games that have been generated from this kind of setting usually never peak above a 5.0 rating, this is a extraordinary occurance, Obsidian has done a great job in the RPG World and given us something to hope for if they ever again attempt to make another movie/show to game RPG. A few wonky control settings are the only issue, and unless your not used to WASD controls and not being able to pre-program your own controls "Recommendation, just use Pi" then you might have an issue with the game. Other than a few other balancing issues which I am sure will get "balanced out" in the near future, this game is sterling perfect, its not full silver glorious wonder, but its damn-near, and that is better than anything I could ever of hoped for. $60 is it worth it? Yes & No, but ask yourself, when was the last time you thought, I wonder what being a member of south park would really be like, because brother (or sister) this is as close and perfect a game that you will ever see, capable of doing it. Funny Level - 10 of 10 Weirdness Level 8 of 10 (Typical for a South Park Episode) Ackwardness Level 9 of 10 (A lot of really F***ed up scenes) Action Level 9 of 10 (Its a JRPG with LARP which is great!) Shock and Awe Moments (Way, way too many!) - I love it!!!!

Giants: Citizen Kabuto is one of my top 10 games of all time, a three part story complete of all parties associated with the planet and its inhabitants, with funny quarky moments, a good sound track and a lot of British slang and voice acting, this is one of the few games that really lifts my spirits after playing too many redundant games in the late era. Especially the base building mechanics in the game, paired with the way you destroy the enemies base. Kind a wish there was a Giants 2 *sobs.

Base standard for my review... FIX IT, FAST!. I've played a lot of buggy games in my time, and I didn't think a early release (Actual) would be worse than Sword of the Stars II which was a pretty bad early release, those of you who have played and know what I am talking about will get the idea, but its worse in X Rebirth, a lot of the control systems are buggered, no joystick support unless I use Pi, damn near a crash bug every 15 20 minutes, a lot of graphical command problems where you'll see twitching or fizzling in the graphics and I am not talking about combat. (And before anyone tells me otherwise, all my graphics drivers are up to date, my directX is upto date, my Sound is upto Date, and yes my C++ Redistributables are current with 2008, 2005 effectively as well). I would recommend this game after a stern redevelopment point kinda like what CDProjectks and Kerberus do when they say: Enhanced Edition. Because this has 1.2.1 Worth of patches written all over it, and its only 1.0.0.

Bought SotS2 without playing the first games, also got it right when it came out... complete mind you. Wanted a game that was like a more advanced model of Masters of Orions and pretty much I have it now with Sword of the Stars 2, the game has evolved so well in the past year since its early conception. Much of the game is geared towards a strategy / simulation genre in a turn-based 4X Strategy universe. Very complex, very hard to get into when you first start playing, but very well designed. Complete ship designing from the command - role - engine systems, and design of the weapons and what goes into it. Gives a whole new spin on Development and Deployment game mechanics where no one can predict what you will roll out next. The multiplayer is outstanding, long... but outstanding, its never the same game twice when playing with another person and gets persistantly better everytime you play it. Again its long, even with small 1 on 1 maps. Only downside is its still relateively incomplete, but for what its content is at the moment, its worth a 10... now I just need a 10 + 1 for that little extra credit for when its complete.
