The most horrendous looking AAA game I've ever seen in my life. Draw distance is abysmal. Assets can take MINUTES to load, yes, I really counted the time. Frame rate drops to 10-15FPS while driving, while the environment in the background becomes a blurry mess. NPCs load in literally without their faces. Why CDPR, why couldn't you scrap the last gen versions of the game? $60 for this awful experience. On a positive note, when I pushed through the ugly graphics, there's a decent story and the side quests can be good, so have that win.
The writing has tanked when compared to the original game. The new characters have no interesting traits or something we as players can get attached to. Joel's death was unnecessary and was done just to add shock to the story. The combat is pretty much the same from the first game except now we can kill dogs. Abby gets the most boring introduction, 2 seconds later she's smashing a golf club into Joel's head. Context in the story is provided at such a slow pace that it starts to get annoying. Ellie, a once loved character has turned into a boring killing machine. Everything that made Ellie, Ellie, has been removed. And the sex scenes! Just why?! Why are the developers so keen on making us uncomfortable? Not to forget, so many technical bugs! Texture popins, assets load slow, sky starts to glitch sometime, and of course my PS4 Pro is a jet engine as usual. It's just hard to believe these guys made one of the best PS3 games and now we're getting this. Go back to making Jak and Daxter ffs.
Despite of the occasional stutters, I've not encountered any problems with Ori 2. The game's absolutely gorgeous. The game mechanics have improved substantially and combat has been given more of an emphasis, which I admire. I wish the game felt a little more fluid but current gen hardware is obviously not the best at performance. I really think this is a must buy, especially if you're on PC because you'll the best experience possible.
It's very hard to suggest anyone to buy Death Stranding as so many great, fun games are available for purchase at the moment. Death Stranding was never meant to be a game and the lazy and intuitive gameplay really shows. Sam is a total clumsy mess, tripping on the smallest little rocks and spilling his little boxes. There isn't much to talk about gameplay as the whole game is dependent on getting from one place to another on foot and delivering crates. The cutscenes should've been cut short and to the point but instead they're long movie style cutscenes and don't make much sense. I'll be playing more but only to see if things somehow get better. Definitely not worth $60.
The graphics look incredible even on the One S! Definitely one of the best looking games of this generation. The gameplay doesn't stray from the foundation gears set and yet introduces fun gameplay elements. Extremely satisfied with my purchase. Congratulations to the Coalition team!
