It would be way more fun if people learned what "teamwork" actually means and didn't try to lone wolf the entire mission like they're Commando Rambo. Go play Halo if you want to solo ****.

A total scam & waste of $75. I am not wasting anymore time with this crap and anyone who has given this game a positive review is lying. There is no mention in the "Game and legal info" section that there is a predetermined protagonist. They (Pearl Abyss & Sony) make it seem like you can create & customize your own playable character when in fact you can't. The graphics are not as great as all the positive reviews say; and no, it's not because I'm on a console. Do not listen to the edgy bois here trying to make this sound like this is Dark Souls kind of difficulty and you just have to get used to it before it gets "fun." "Fun" isn't designing your game so poorly that it makes basic functions inconvenient & difficult. That's poor game design. The controls are absolute garbage and whoever implemented them should be kicked out of game design forever. Case in point: you have to button mash the X button in order to run rather than simply pushing X and running until your stamina bar is empty. How stupid is that? Any reviewer here that's making excuses for the lousy controls should be waterboarded. I have never played a game with such a crappy control scheme as this one. Do not listen to all the gamer bois fart huffing about how great this pig slop is. Crimson Desert isn't even hot garbage. It's simply trash

So far, I have 13 hours invested in this game, but I'm not sure how much more time I'm going to invest in it. I like the graphics & music, but it's downhill from there. The voice acting is okay. I don't understand why the protagonist doesn't speak when responding to other party members. It breaks the immersion while going through dialog scenes. There are way too many gacha gimmick systems & tutorials in this game. I haven't ever seen anything like it before, and that's saying something since I've played games like Genshin, ZZZ, Blue Archive, LoL, and more. I lost track of how many different tutorials I had gone through in the first 5 hours alone. It's absurd. The problem isn't that it's too complicated to understand; the problem is the pacing. I hadn't even gotten accustomed to one aspect of the game before I was thrown into another convoluted gacha gimmick tutorial. The menu ****'t great either. Don't get me started on the cash shop. There's way too much gacha crap in this game and that's a shame because from an artistic standpoint it has a lot of potential. I haven't played Arknights before & I'm really trying to like it, but I'm so tired of the free-to-play gacha game models that are over saturating the market. It's unfortunate because free-to-play games like Genshin are some of the best open world games out there but they're ruined with monetization schemes that hold back advancing further. I get that it costs money to keep these games up & running. I just don't like the method with which they go about financing them.

I've enjoyed Blue Archive far more than I expected (I don't like mobile or gacha games). Of course, it wouldn't be a Nexon game without egregious monetization, but that's basically the entire video game industry these days. Thanks, whales!

Don't let the haters and low scores fool you! The only way Bungie could have made this expansion even gudder is if they had focused more on Osiris & Saint's love story. It's not FF7 Rebirth level of storytelling & gameplay, but that's a difficult level to achieve. Facts. Edge of Fate is so much gudder than Final Shape, it's almost impressive. I especially like that Bungie made old armor obsolete to force players to spend hours grinding away in an even crappier...I mean "gudder"...system than before. The new armor tiers make sure to let me know who all the Bungie fanboi uber losers are, which I'm super grateful for, because all of their gilded titles, adapted weapons, Guardian ranks and fart huffing weren't enough of an indicator for me to know how bad I am. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to the tedium of touching grass & living my life, because I'm so bad at this game that I make the Witness look like a boi scout asking for extra homework during Sunday school. Gud day.

This game is super overrated. I've played D&D. I've played CRPGs. I'm not going to fanboi over something crappy & gaslight people when it isn't good. The story s.u.c.k.s. The dice rolls are worse. I disliked most characters in this game, especially "The Emperor." The conversations with party members were often lackluster. The romances are seriously blown out of proportion by players. The ending was awful. I don't like mindflayers whatsoever and this game does everything it can to force that crap on players. It s.u.c.k.s. I give this game a 4 because the women in it (Karlach, Shadowheart, Lae'zel, Aylin, Isobel, Jaheira) are the only redeeming elements to the game.

I enjoyed this game for the most part. Contrary to what most people have to say about this game, I like Frey. Most people have an issue with her because she isn't a cliché hero/heroine. She has personal baggage (due to various reasons/circumstances) that she works through throughout the story. I didn't see anything in her behavior resembling her acting entitled. She has a standoffish demeanor due to her childhood abandonment issues. These people complaining about her attitude wouldn't be nearly as pleasant as she is if they had a childhood like her. All the people who think this game is "woke" need to grow up and quit crying. If it isn't stereotypical macho misogynistic tropes objectifying women it's "woke." It's absurd, juvenile and stupid. I grew up on Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sylvester Stallone movies. I don't need or want every story being Commando Rambo. Frey is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant entertainment industry. If it isn't "woke" it's right wing macho crap. I'll take Frey over Kratos any day of the week. My biggest issues with this game are Cuff and the overall movement while exploring. MacCuffin s.u.c.k.s. I don't like anything about him, especially after finishing the main story. The movement is decent if you're using the parkour/speed option but it turns abysmal the moment you stop. I lost count of how many times Frey would get stuck on invisible objects in the terrain. This game isn't perfect but it was much better than I was expecting it to be considering how awful Squeenix is at everything.

There are things that I like about this game and there are things that I don't. I do find it fun to play in spite of the drawbacks. The graphics are decent. Gunplay & movement feel nice. I like the music. The story is meh & kinda convoluted due to lack of information. Most of the voice acting is bad. The monetization is worse than Destiny & Warframe, but that isn't a surprise to me seeing as the game is produced by a Korean company. Grinding can be tedious & frustrating. The season one update was one of the worst updates that I've ever had the displeasure of playing (and I've experienced some crappy updates from Bungie). Nexon had to run damage control because it was so awful. It was a huge turn off for me and has made me hesitant to give Nexon anymore money. It's kinda better now but I haven't progressed much with the story yet because I've had to level up one of my descendants, because everything is set to hard difficulty (including basic story progression while being forced to play solo) with little to no play testing from Nexon. Leveling up your characters can turn into a frustrating endeavor because of the required time sink. I like this game but there are a lot of areas that could use improvement. The biggest turn off is the scummy monetization implemented by Nexon. I didn't have a problem with the idea of buying certain things to help support the company like a battle pass or an Energy Activator or Crystallization Catalyst, but how Nexon has priced their digital currency (Caliber) is beyond reprehensible. Example: An Energy Activator is used to increase module capacity on characters & weapons (they're a necessity if you plan on progressing in this game). Energy Activators cost 1200 caliber to purchase. 1060 Caliber costs $19.99 USD (without tax). The next amount is 2750 Caliber for $49.99 USD (without tax). If you don't want to spend 50 dollars then you'll have to buy 250 caliber for $4.99 USD on top of the 1060 purchase. So you end up spending over $25 for one item. That isn't as big of a deal for the characters as it is for the weapons that have randomized statistics. You could use one of those on a weapon and get a drop of the same weapon a moment later with better stats and have to purchase another Energy Activator to increase it's mod capacity, again. You can see how this game becomes a huge money sink very fast. I don't normally complain about monetization in free-to-play games but Nexon is on different level than what I've seen so far in other games. They're giving Diablo 4 a run for their money with how egregious their greed is. All of that being said, I did find it fun to play considering that I didn't have to pay for anything. I didn't even have to have a PS+ subscription to do multiplayer (unlike Destiny). That surprised me.

I decided to give Rogue Trader a try because I enjoyed playing tactical RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics and XCOM. This was the first Warhammer game I've played and probably the last (I did not enjoy the story or dystopian setting). It's the last Owlcat game I'll purchase for certain. I bought & played the game back in January 2024 and there were still numerous bugs that had yet to be fixed, let alone addressed by the developer. I couldn't finish certain quests because of these issues. The character customization (regarding powers/abilities) was by far the best aspect of the game; which is why my rating isn't lower. It's the closest I've seen to a traditional D&D style character creator in a video game.

I decided to try this game because I enjoy designing homes and have done home renovation as a profession. I wish the real life equivalents were as simple and easy as they are in this game (especially the cleaning). There are areas that could be improved upon, but it does pretty decent for a simulator. There's a sandbox mode that gives players the option to design a home from the ground up, which is a nice feature for those who might want to dabble in architecture. The controls are by far the biggest problem area. I'm guessing it has to do with the game being designed to play on PC with a mouse rather than a controller on console. That being said it's still a decent game for people who enjoy designing and worth checking out.
