Xenoblade Chronicles X9
Dec 26, 2015
Probably the most amazing thing about this game is the fact that the Wii U can actually play it without crashing a lot! Monolith Soft has done an extraordinary job of making such a diverse and rich gaming world with an immense amount of things, like the extreme number of alien creature species that all fit the different environments they're in, or all of the breathtaking views of waterfalls falling from strange alien rock formations, and just so much more! The music is absolutely incredible when you're out in the wilderness exploring, but the New LA music during daytime is pretty awful. They could've done better with New LA's soundtrack personally overall, but that's really only where the music falls short. Trying to progress through the story I'm finding pretty difficult because of the requirments needed in order to do them are confusing a lot of the time. So really, the little problems here and there aren't focused on much because of the amazing content this game delivers, with the deep combat system full of different arts and tactics to use, all the regions and landmarks to explore, all of the diverse creatures to battle, and much more. Xenoblade Chronicles X is one hell **** that every RPG loving Wii U owner should not miss out on.

Minecraft7

Sadly it looks and plays like a last gen version of Minecraft due to the Wii U's lack of good processing power. The inventory and crafting are impossible to navigate using control sticks because of Nintendo's over sensitive control stick design on both the gamepad and Pro controller. Basically due to the Wii U's poor design and lack of an achievement/trophy system makes this the poorest console Minecraft version to date. Nonetheless, it still plays good and has online play and voice chat, off-TV play, and you get to track your play time, so at least it's not a total bomb.

Run Sackboy! Run!8

It's actually a lot of fun! The LittleBigPlanet theme is nice and the powerups, upgrades, and boosts are great. My only problems though are that if you want to get through the game fast, you're going to end up having to buy more score bubbles with real money, and if you don't, the game is going to take a long time. The missions can be quite irritating at times and you might have to end up skipping some of them, which takes a lot of bubbles. Stickers are a nice touch because they give you a reason to keep playing other than doing missions to level up, but it gets confusing on where to find them, though. Still, it's a perfect free game compared to other ones on the Playstation Store.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash5
Nov 21, 2015
This game feels like a Mario Tennis spin-off; it lacks: stats and options, characters, tournament, mini games, Mii playability, reason to use coins besides cheating out on rewards, different court environments, and a cool little cut scene when you start the game. It gains: great graphics (finally), a rewards system (but you can just buy them with coins instead of going through and winning them the normal way which ****), mega mushrooms (which I personally don't care for), and amiibo compatibility where you train them and level them up. To sum this all up, it is a HUGE disappointment! Mario Power Tennis on the GAMECUBE has more content than this! You'd think that they would put WAAYY more content on this since it's on the Wii U. This game just feels barebones and lifeless. It lacks that charm that past Mario Tennis games had. There are very few things that impress me about this game, but those few things are why I'm giving it a 5/10 and not something worse.

Gunman Clive HD Collection9

This collection offers you 2 of the best indie platformers from the 3DS, in HD and on the Wii U at only $3.99! It's a complete no-brainer! The 1st game took me 33 minutes to complete, and I haven't quite finished the 2nd one yet. Pretty much the 2nd one is quite harder than the 1st, although the 1st one gets a bit tough, too. I think I like the 2nd one a little better because it has more color and really cool environments. Anyway, definitely give this collection a try, it's worth it!

The new design of the music tracks and the songs are good, but what I don't like is the lack of character customization options. They didn't include near as many as the past games. The song selection menu is nice because it tells you all the instrument difficulties, the year the song was made, and the genre it is. Another thing too, they didn't put RBN songs for purchase on the store. But overall, this is a good game for the series.

This game provides an intense challenge, but is very satisfying when you finally beat a hard level. I don't really understand the story much, but the game play and concept of the game make up for it. The music is so cool and fits very well with the levels and make them really fun, and kind of helps you out in a way, too. Most of the time, you will find yourself trying over and over a hundred times trying to get through one little zone. The game doesn't get truly difficult until Level 3. After that, it gets extremely painful. I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a challenging, yet satisfying, experience.
