An absolutely amazing film that everyone needs to see. It's well acted, beautifully filmed, and tells a meaningful story, which is something few modern films can lay claim to.

Basically, this movie is just decent, family-friendly fun. It's not profound, astounding, or action-packed, but it appeals to the same sort of sensibilities that 2015's Goosebumps did. The cast does a fine job with the material, and the main family (led by Eddie Murphy) is pretty relatable. It may not be the best movie of all time, but I don't think there's anything really wrong with it, either. It's one of the only Halloween-type movies that you can watch without gore or sadistic violence and torment, and for that, it's okay in my book.

The Christmas Candle is a beautiful, well-acted film with lots of heart and timeless values. It stands tall as one of the best Christmas movies to come out in a long time, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
