This is one of the worst Christmas Movies I've ever seen. The main character has serious, debilitating mental illness. And she blames her family for something SHE did. I'll say that again, because it's important. What she did is not her family's fault, it's hers. But the entire second and third act are based on her bad decision, and her family's correct response to her bad decision. It's unbelievably, horrifically bad. Watch any other Christmas movie. There is a near 100% chance that it will be better than this dog.
This is the best movie of 2023. Second place isn't even close. It's an incredible story of redemption and forgiveness. Other than one small misstep at the very end, it was flawless. It's far, FAR better than any of the American Godzilla movies, and infinitely better than the garbage show on Apple TV. The only issue anyone might have is the CGI is a bit cheap looking. That's because they didn't have a lot of money. If you can see past that, enjoy the movie for what it is, you will have a blast.
Imagine an apocalyptic movie where nothing really happens, and people just talk constantly. Not that they talk about the apocalypse. Just talk. That's this movie. I'd mark that as a spoiler, but NOTHING EVER HAPPENS IN THIS MOVIE! EVER!!! I'd sayit's aa waste of time, but I'm positive that you will be on your phone when you watch it. Because if you don't, you will absolutely fall asleep. Garbage!!!
