This is the game you set on a big screen, make coffee and explore... for hours, just walking around the forests. That is certain death meet the beasts at first , but then you learn to fight them - slash, step backwards, slash, step backwards, a little hunting skill for shield parry, a little better robe, and your best friend - Bow with lots of arrows, and there you are.. Oh yeah, missions and the story.. but the main thing is beautiful , gorgeous landscapes - trees and water, and sun, and lighting.. My first deal with the Gothic series was when I bought Night of the Raven, Gothic 2 add on CD. What a shame, when I put the CD and the necessary of Gothic 2 was asked... I bought 3 CD Gothic 2 pack... didnt finish it. Then, somehou found the Gothic 1... Finished it, and started the Gothic 2. When Gothic 3 came out, I knew that no way My PC could handle it, so I wait for this about 12 years, when I finally could play this masterpiece of bits and bytes. If you want RPG, this is a holy gral. Best advantage on Skyrim is that no loading screens entering the caves and houses.

A game with satisfying combat system. Graphics are not perfect, and gameplay is too speed up. But, the combos are awesome, and crash enemies shields with spear is very satisfying. The best is a shield. You can stand in bunch of enemies surrounded, and hold L for whenever how long, and you press O to kick enemies back with shield. You can throw a spear and make fatal kills, and massive hits, like in a movie, rotating with spare and kill all enemies around. Dual sword is a real shredder, and sword combos also, including smash with the shield. Yes. And lots of blood. Great game. Highly recommended!
