Without Question one of the best platformers of 2022. Wayforward type quality game design. I was addicted to this one from start to finish. Great looking graphics and Animation. Amazing story and voice acting. This one is a must own.

A Snoozefest, boring and slow. Horrible controls, no voice acting results in moments of just sitting in silence. Horrible boring game to try and stream.

When I first even just seen screenshots of Lake I was just sure it was going to be something special. Then I saw the trailer and was even more excited. After playing it it still went far beyond how much I had hyped it up for myself. Even if my first day with it was buggy, and full of issues I couldnt stop playing it. I just had to finish it. I was caught by surprise the next day though that they patched it to perfection the very next day. I just love the story, characters, music, and vibe that is delivered in this one. Even delivering mail is fun, and feels like something I love doing. Everything about Lake feels like home to me, and I just hate that it had to end. Good thing it has multiple endings that are all as rewarding as the next based on my own decisions. Lake is special. Lake is beautiful. It's one of those games you just shouldn't miss if you love games like Life is Strange or the TellTale series. Why I give Lake a 9 out of 10...

July was a great month for arcade shoot em ups, and **** was among one of the best of them, Alone or in COOP it's a blast and feels like a steal at 9.99. I can't stop playing it so much variety in characters, enemies, and bosses. 8.5 out of 10...

Urban Trial Tricky is a steal at 15.99. It's loaded with content and challenges that are sure to keep you busy for a long time. It does suffer from repetition at times, but the precise controls and fun of landing new stunts far outshines that. Hope to see some new maps, bikes, skins, and races to unlock in the future, because I can see me enjoying this title for quite some time. 7 out of 10.

"Q-Yo Blaster" one of the most fun and addictive shootemups released in some time. I literally beat this game like 8 time sin a row lol...Hard to walk away from.

"Ice Cream Surfer" is about as adorable as it gets in a Shoot Em Up... I had a blast with this one. Check out review below. Also if you love food games, you might want to check this one out... it's soo cute.

A relaxing and chill way to spend a evening. Also very affordable, loaded with content for the value.

If you enjoy Metroid and tired of waiting for Nintendo to get around to releasing another one. Check out Drageus Games , Crescent Moon Games, and Cascadia Games "Moon Raider" in my opinion it just feels, and does everything you loved about the classic NES title.

A really dark and creepy little platform/puzzler. It didn't take long to really get a creepy vibe from it. One the best horror games I've played in awhile. Certainly one of the most intelligent. It's really designed well. Where it makes you think, but not to much to where it's frustrating. The Puzzles and environment manipulation just really mold in nicely with the horrific story and happenings to Lloyd.

Retrosoft Studios "RetroMania Wrestling" Might be the best wrestling game in over a Decade. Highly recommend this for fans of Retro wrestlign games.

The AVGN Game brings all the content you know and love from the Youtube series to life. So many classic moments brought to life. Without question my favorite title of 2021 so far. Loaded with just fun and replay value AVGN the Game is an addictive game you just can't step away from.

I didn't do a written review for this one since i did a video, but I still like to put an overall impressions where I still put my opinion to written word. "Space Otter Charlie" was really a pleasant surprise. It caught me off guard. I was expecting a cute game by the screenshots, characters, and just the idea of a Otter in space, but was greeted with much more than that. It is a beautifully designed game with tons of upgrades, enemies, and perfect designed levels. Each level intriduces something new. A new weapon, challenge, enemy, crafting item, etc so it never feels repetitive and each time you leave your ship to journey to new planet you never know what to expect. It has some awesome designed bosses as well. Each one attacks in a different way and like the levels makes you think about how you will approach it. It has a nice challenge to it, but not so that it limits itself to any certain type of player. "Space Otter Charlie" really put itself into one of my favorite games of 2021 catagory. I really look forward to returning to it at a later date. I ususally do a Pros and Cons list, btu I really don't see a point with this one as the Pros FAAAAAAAR outweigh the cons here. I think it's a value at it's 14.99 price, and think all types of gamers should give this one a try.

Beach Buggy Racing 2 far exceeds the original, even though the original was amazing as well. It brings you everything you know and love from the first in a beautiful new package, and throws so much more at you. If you love kart racing games it doesn't get much better than this.

So if you follow us you will remember just how much I loved "Monster Jam: Steel Titans" awhile back. I gave it a 8.5 and just kept going on , and playing it forever. So I was so excited when I saw we would be getting the sequel as well as covering it. I just couldn't wait to dive back into once again on the next Gen console. I remembered THQ Nordic sharing our review and getting us a ton of views and adding to our follower count. So i held much respect for them, and Rainbow studio's art. Hoped it would be a repeat of this, and I'd be super excited and posting great things shortly after receiving it. Saddly it didn't take long at all to become very stale, and I was dreading even covering it. I thought about maybe reaching out to them, and asking can I just buy the game, and not cover it this time. I even was dreaming about it that night , and having problems sleeping. I hate to be negative, I do my best to always find good things about something. I feel like every game is a piece of some one. I feel like it's their art, and probably put a lot of their heart into it. So I just struggled both days I was playing it mentally, and wanted to really just make it all go away. I soldiered on though, and kept playing it more hoping to find things to say hey this is new and I like this better. I just couldn't, I couldn't really play it any more either. I'm one of those people who have to finish a game to cover it. I feel I have to give it it's time, and see how it grows on me. I feel every game deserves that. This one to be honest I was done in the first couple of hours. If I had paid for it this is one of the games I would have been requesting a refund. I kept playing longer though, getting like 10 hours in, and my thoughts never changed. I felt the way I felt after 2 hours, after wasting 8 more hours. I felt like I wasted my time, and I hadn't experienced anything different the entire time. It just felt like a repetitive grind. Kids love Monster Jam games, and I don't see how it would appeal to them playing with generic trucks and drivers. I don't see many of them doing what it takes to get more trucks. It's such a hassle. You have to play the same thigns over and over with trucks you really don't care about at all to get the trucks you want. Then you have to grind it all over again to level those ones up. If you just really wanted to spend 40 dollars , and have a game with tons of content and replay value you'd prob enjoy it some what feeling you got your money's worth. I still find that hard to believe really because when you are putting those hours in it just feels lifeless. The events really don't have the excitement they did in the first installment in my opinion. I feel like I could have grinded that game out, but I didn't have to.

This is one for you fans of NES games like Contra, Jackal, and Commando. "TunderFlash" is just as BADA$$ as you can get in a modern retro War Zone action game.. I HIGHLY recommend this one.

One of the best games I've played this year. I'd say it might be my favorite in this genre of all times. I'm not usually big on these type of games, but this one really left a impression on me. I'd certainly recommend this one over and over. So well designed and loaded with replay value. 8.8 out of 10

I had such a good time with this one though. I can honestly say this might be one of my favorite survival/crafting titles. Most of the time they just feel shallow, and like nonstop fetch quests. "Aground" is so different then that though. It's loaded with so much content. The 14.99 almost feels like your robbing these guys with all you get here. The crafting and cooking of items at times feels almost unlimited. Pizzas, Pancakes, Blue Berry Pies, all the yummy stuff you can imagine and be cooked up in your kitchen to help aid you on your mission to restore humanity. As one of the last survivors that is your quest. Don't worry you are not alone. You will come across tons of friends to help you along the way. Miners, Hunters, Blacksmith, Traders, and so many others will help you set up structures to help build a new civilization. You will build farms, warehouses, kitchens. markets, and many others. There you can trade things, make meals, and forge things from metals you mine in the grounds below. You can even build a mining cart to explore all of the grounds you dug out below with your trusty pickaxe. Speaking of pickaxes the weapons and tools you can also craft seem unlimited as well. Armors, weapons, tools, galore. The pickaxes can also be made with stronger materials allowing you to dig deeper in the harder grounds. You can even craft lanterns and torches to see in the dark the deeper you dig. I feel like I'm giving so much away in this review, and my video and I hate to spoil all the surprises. There is lots of those, and lore behind this game that caught me by surprise. It's so much more in depth than the trailers and screenshots can show you. So is this one for you? Do you enjoy games like Minecraft, Forager, or Terraria? I think if so you'd really love your time with "Aground" I think you'll probably actually enjoy this one a lot more. I think it does everything it sets out to do, and more. It also does more than those previously mentioned titles as well. There is so much more here than the eye can see, you really have to sit down and invest some time into it to really see just how special it is. I know I'll be going back to this one after my review, because I can feel it calling me now as I type this out. It is just so much fun, and never really feels repetitive, or like a grind at all. Lot of these type games feel like a nonstop grind but Aground makes all those usually grindy moments feel fun. You will actually enjoy hunting everything you need to create your next structure or meal.

Summer in Mara was a quite relaxing experience where you play as a little girl on a island with her grandmother. You dream of big adventures with or as a pirate sailing the beautiful blue oceans. How ever your grandmother wants to keep you on the island and teach you the ways of it. She wants to make sure you can fend for yourself by fishing, cooking, gardening, mining for materials, just everything you need to survive on the island alone. This is basically your tutorial, and the real adventure begins when she passes, and the island is yours alone to manage. When the entire island becomes yours to manage. You will have to make it all your own. It's really fun planting trees and veggies that you want to see around your landscape. I loaded mine up with beautiful Cherry trees to be honest. You will be able to mine materials and craft useful items as well like fences, wells for water, and so much more. You will also come across useful tools and items to make it even better like Furnaces and Fridges for Ice. These will also help with making new food items as well. You will learn so many more dishes as you advance, and have a really good time finding the ingredients as well. You will have a blast customizing your island until the day you meet a special friend you want to help get home, and you have to leave the island. Your dreams finally come true of heading out into the world on your boat to see what is out there. What you find out it out there is a beautiful city full of tons of comical and interesting characters. Full of personalities and funny stories. Oh yeah and fetch quests. Fetch quests galore. You start to wonder how this city lasted this long with out you. They literally can't do anything on their own. This will start your adventure of over 300 quests to improve your relationship with all of these people. Remember kids you have to do everyone's work for them to make them like you lol. Just joking, but you will certainly start to feel a little repetition if you over do it. I really recommend taking your time with this, and relaxing and enjoying it. Just sit back and take in the beautiful island and music. there is no rush. The missions aren't timed really, and you can explore any time you want. The only thing you have to watch is your energy and hunger, and you'll have so many apples and oranges that won't be a real issue. There is also plenty of places to sleep, like your boat if night comes upon you and you can't return your quest because stores are closed. Time flies so that will happen a lot. Just don't get caught in the junkyard when it closes because you can't jump the fence. I found that out a couple times. Most the quests are just making recipes, crafting things for people, or finding ingredients. Some times you will get easy ones like just running a item to some one. The thigs are pretty easy to find. Most times just laying around the city or islands. Some times can sell things to vendors, and purchase the item. If it's hard to find usually you just don't have something that's required to craft it yet.

The best bowling game released to date. Passing the SNK classic "League Bowling" in my opinion. If you love realistic sports sims with really competitive online play don't miss this one.

I "LOVED" and think it might just be the best Souls-like game to date. So many really fun and original ideas. A must play for RPG fans.

Our review for Forever Entertainment, Blue Sunset Games, and Storm Trident's "Tiny Hands Adventure" A game with a lot of issues to be ironed out, but still a affordable and enjoyable experience when it's working.

"Freddy Spaghetti" This might just be one of Ratalaika's most fun and addictive games yet. Won't find much more gaming fun than this under $5.

Really buggy and glitchy on launch , but still a ton of fun. Hope the update comes soon because at 11.99 it's a really good time.

I'm not a huge fan of the twin stick genre yet I found my self addicted to this one. I actually played it from start to finish in one sitting. I think it took around 3 to 4 hours to beat the first level of difficulty. There is three different levels of difficulty so this one is going to keep you busy a long time. That was playing it solo. you might be able to do it a little quicker with help. It has 2-4 player local coop. I imagine that would be a ton of fun I'll have to try it out next time I got friends over. As far as playing it solo it's challenging, but not to the point it's frustrating. I died a few times, but usually beat the level the next try. There are tons of levels. I didn't count them, but It's a really large map. It's loaded with levels. Each one spiking in difficulty as you go. Usually they introduce a new weapon, enemy, or ability as you go as well. There is tons of content and daily objectives that really add a lot of replay value to this one. You play as Tesla, and use many of his great inventions to take out Lovecraft and his many monsters. You have pistols, shotguns, energy weapons, and so so much more even EPIC weapons. So many weapons and even a Mech. You start each level with the Mech until it runs down, then you have to collect pieces of it to reassemble it to use again. You can also upgrade it to where it lasts longer. That is one of your many upgrades available to you. You upgrade using crystals you find while playing. There is just so many things in this game to make it feel fresh and fun from start to finish. Like Perks you will find as you play. each time you level up on a level you will get two random perks to choose from. Perks like 30% more health, 20% more weapon damage, bouncing bullets, and so much more. No way I could name them all. Like i said tons and tons of content. Weapons, Perks, and upgrades aren't the only thing there is tons of. Monsters galore !!! You will come across so many variations of monsters. each with different attacks and abilities. Some will explode leaving fire on the ground, some will shoot things at you, some will just run you down and try and melee you. There are a few bosses as well. I believe 3 to 4 of them. The final confrontation with Lovecraft is also very action packed and unforgettable. I also really enjoyed the art style in the cut scenes. I was pulled into the really entertaining about some really legendary characters. Tesla and Lovecraft are timeless characters in history, and this game does a excellent job of introducing them to a new generation of gamers.

I was interested in this when I saw it was coming to Game Pass. I was even more excited when I saw it pop up in my email before it was released on there. After putting about 6 hours in to it, I can honestly say I'm glad to have it in my collection. I thought it was a really quality adventure. I've read people say it is slow game. I think those people may have struggled with the puzzles, or were just used to action packed titles. To me it's a challenging puzzle solving game, that will really test your mind. Some puzzles can really stump you, and I enjoyed that. I loved spending a hour on a couple puzzles, and the rewarding feeling of finally figuring it out. I loved the story, as well as the time period. You play as Norah, a woman with a strange unexplainable disease. It leaves spots on her hands, and makes her feel very sick. her husband goes on a expedition to a island in the South Pacific to find a cure for her. he has yet to return so Norah goes to find him. She finds much , much more on this beautiful island. The story really changes as it goes, and towards the end really has a Lovecraft feel to it. The game is just so beautiful. From the lush island to the under ocean scenes, Even the Dark caves, and other creepy areas just look so great. I really enjoy the art style of this one a lot. The colors are so vibrant, and the areas are designed so well. It is some what linear, but yet still let's you have areas to some what explore for clues. I never got lost or felt like I only had one path. Looking for clues, and hidden items just gave me a really nice level of enjoyment. Each clue found, and puzzle solved just feels you with a high level of reward. I experienced no glitches, or areas that gave me issues as far as design. It all really works quite smoothly. That goes for the controls as well. The entire experience is just really well designed. I'd go to the point of saying maybe one of the best designed games this year. I was pulled in from start to finish, and only a few times felt repetition or like it was dragging on. I never felt like the game was rushed, or felt any design flaws. I actually felt quite the different. I felt that this one was sort of a hidden gem. I hope people take the time to play it on Game Pass, and then add to their personal collections. I can't end the review without talking about the voice acting and music. The sounds of this game may actually be the biggest reason to enjoy it. The music is just out standing, and fits right along into the adventure making it feel so epic at times. the sounds are perfect from oceans to the sounds the puzzles make as you solve them. It all just sounds amazing. The voice acting is also such positive point to the story delivered. Every one does an amazing job, but one performance just stands out far above the others. Cissy Jones. I believe, and yes this is my opinion. Cissy Jones is the best voice actor in video games today. She has done so many outstanding characters from Fury in Darksiders 3 to Delilah in FireWatch. Joyce Price in Life is Strange to Kelsey in The Wolf Among Us. Could go on and on like Norma in the Walking Dead or Sloane in Destiny. She is just a legend in the industry, and any time I see she is voice acting in a game it's a instant pickup because I know the quality of story telling, that will more than likely be delivered in game. If you don't know the name, and you enjoy quality story driven games check out more of her work. Call of the Sea is another one of her masterpieces, and the story is just unforgettable.

Fantasy Friends was a game I was pretty excited to receive. I grew up in the 90's when tamagotchis and giga pets were incredibly popular, so the concept was familiar to me. I still remember the time my giga pet ran away, so I was pretty thrilled to have a new version of it for my switch. The game is definitely for young kiddos, but I had fun looking after my pets. The goat pet in particular is insanely cute to me. The graphics are bright and colorful and certainly eye catching, and I think little ones will love it. The controls handle well, and are relatively simple, making it easy for little hands that may not play many games yet. This would make for a pretty good game for a child that hasn't played games before. One question I did have was who this game would be purchased by, I think the three platforms its available on are a bit narrow. Parents that aren't gamers themselves aren't super likely to have a steam account, and if they have a switch or a PS4, they probably have older children contending for the usage of it. Most families I know with only little ones have a tablet they allow them to use. And honestly I think this game would work wonderfully with touch controls. The other big issue I have with this game is the overall price compared to how much game there actually is. My worry as a parent is I think if I had bought this for my child when they were the right age for it, is that after a few hours they'd be bored. $30 for the digital version (and $35 for the physical) is a bit steep. I think a lot more parents are keen to just buy an app that's a couple bucks, even if it isn't as well made as Fantasy Friends is. And it is well made. I encountered no bugs, and had no issues while playing. Occasionally I felt the instructions were a bit unclear, and perhaps a smaller kiddo would have a hard time with that since there is reading involved, but overall I thought the game was cute and fun enough. For these reasons, I think I could only fairly give the game a 5/10. But I think if they added a bit more content, more mini games for the different animals, maybe? Or perhaps more to do with your town. That score could easily change to a 7 or 8.

I'm do my best to cover this one, but it is really hard to make a really long review about a game about solving crosswords puzzles. That isn't anything negative at all though, because i enjoyed every second with "One Word" You have 150 quotes from famous people through out history, and you have to figure them out by finding words. You will have 4 to 6 missing words in each quote, and you have to find them all 1 by 1. It isn't super challenging to figure out the words though because the letters on the screen are just ones that make up the word. So you can some times figure out the word by making up words with the letter combinations on the screen. The quotes are really inspiring, and from some really amazing people. Most of your historical heroes will have quotes here for you to solve and enjoy. From Presidents, Scientists, Inventors, and even Comedians. I was so glad to see one of my life long favorites Chevy Chase even had a quote in the mix. I can honestly say I really recommend this game to a lot of types of games. If you are a fan of doing crosswords puzzles there is no question it's for you. It brings that experience to your home console perfectly. It's a really relaxing experience, and a great way to spend a evening. It's one of those games you can settle down a few minutes before dinner or bed and just enjoy. Solving puzzles and listening to really quality music feels so good on your television screen. I'd also really recommend this one to fans of Achievement and Trophy hunting. At 6.99 it's really affordable fun, and easy Achievements. You can watch a walkthrough and knock out the complete game in under 30 minutes, but I really think it's worth your time to play it with out the cheats. You can put hours into this with ease with 150 quotes and over 600 puzzles to figure out you could enjoy this every evening for months. I was only able to play this on the XBOX so I had to use a controller. I really wonder how this is on the Wii U or Vita. I'd like to see if the touch screen comes into effect. There is nothing wrong with the controls though with controller they were smooth and precise. You just click a letter then move the controller stick in the pattern of the word. I really don't have anything negative at all to say about this one. It's so much fun. I will hate once I've solved everything would be nice if they could random generate this one, and give us fresh puzzles every time we play, or maybe a daily puzzle to keep it all new and fresh. Be fun to have that replay value. Just some suggestions to keep "One Word" part of our nightly routine.

Have to say this is one of those reviews you know aren't going to be all that long. Nothing to to do with anything negative about the game or anything, but just how much can you really say about a bubble puzzler? If you have played one you have played them all pretty much. The thing is though they are all enjoyable and fun even though they all are very typical and resemble each other. In Rusty Spout Rescue Adventure you play as a pirate trying to rescue all the children from your village from the evil pirate Cocco. You will journey across five different worlds, each containing 10 levels and a boss battle. You get three credits so if you die you can pick up right where you left off. If you run out of credits don't worry you can pick off on the world you died on. So lets say you died on 49 you'd continue at 41. So it doesn't punish you to bad for failure. Which is good because these games can e challenging. In my opinion this is one of the more challenging ones which I enjoyed. They throw a lot of obstacle in the way of blocks that can't be destroyed so you have to shoot around them. I like a challenge so that was one of the pros for me on this title. I enjoyed the look of the game. Like each world has a unique appearance like a cemetery, the ocean, lava , etc. They look cool if you stop and take the time to notice, but more than likely you won't have time to. You will be to busy trying to stop the waves of bubbles coming at you to notice them or the different characters. That's why I usually say none of that matters. A thing that does is the music. I think the most important thing when it comes to bubble puzzlers after how well it works is the music you hear while playing. I think they did a pretty good job with the music and sounds on this one. I wasn't blown away by it, but I also wasn't annoyed by it either. Rusty Spout really does nothing wrong in my opinion. It does what it should do. It's your typical bubble puzzler. It works, it's affordable, it's fun, and it challenges you. It's a overall just good game. It just doesn't really do anything to sit it apart from the others. That is okay though. Everything doesn't have to be groundbreaking and different. It's ok to release a cheap, affordable, and fun game that sticks to tradition. I'm sure a lot of people love these, and been waiting to add another to their collection. Those people will not be disappointed, because Rusty Spout meets all the requirements to have a good time with this genre of games. There are also more than just the story levels. You can play a endless mode to just keep going as long as you can, and also a local multiplayer to play split screen with friends. So you can enjoy it with friends and family as well. If you have a family of bubble puzzle fans. So I think you should check it out, especially at this price. Yes it's not anything ground breaking like Peggle, but it's still hours and hours of fun. You aren't going to regret grabbing this from the marketplace of your console preference. The fun and enjoyment you will have will be much greater than the small price tag. It doesn't take long into The Wild Gentleman's Chicken Police to realize you just stepped into a special world. Clawville is full of amazingly well written characters with dialogue delivered by professional acted voice actors. I'd go to the point of saying probably the best I've heard in a game in years and maybe ever. It's pure perfection the way they deliver their lines, and pull you into the story so well. Every character feels important to the story, and you actually care about every one of them. None of the characters come up short, and all get their moments and time on screen. You will have your favorites I'm sure , but I really think most people will enjoy every one of them. I especially say this for animal lovers. They really show a ton of love to the animal kingdom in this title, and go to the point of showing just how many animals we've lost over the last couple decades. I really was impressed and touched by this gesture. You play as Santino“Sonny” Featherland a cop with only 121 days until retirement. You really feel for this guy, and hope he makes it to see that day. He has lost his wife, become some what of a drunk, been shot by his ex partner the gun loving Martin “Marty” MacChicken (who really steals the show comedically at times), and has been pulled into a really dangerous case this time. Sonny and Marty really shine on screen, their back and forth is some of the best I've seen in a game. I'd actually say better then most films I've seen in awhile as well. I actually would loved to see this duo in a animated film. The story is just such quality. It really has that Film Noir feel you know and love from classic detective stories. It feels pulled straight out of a detective novel, or off a screen in days past. I'd have to say this as a great compliment this story and production feels like something delivered by TellTales or DontNod. Maybe even better. I can say with ease I enjoyed this as much as "Life Is Strange" and "The Walking Dead" games. It's top quality. I really think this is my "Indie Game of the Year" winner. I don't want to tell to much about the story like I have seen some people doing. I feel this is one you will want to experience for yourself. I just want to make sure I express the overall quality of this one. I know I compared it to some heavy graphic novel titles, and I usually say I don't enjoy those games. This is something different though. There is much more than just reading and watching these amazing stories and characters. You have to do a lot of detective work as well. Shooting puzzle solving, investigation really come into play. There is a lot of interrogation as well. You have to question and listen to a lot of characters to help you determine just who the guilty party is in the end. We aren't going to spoil that for you though. We aren't even going to tell you what you are investigating. I want you to feel the same way I did around every plot twist and turn. There is exciting shoot outs and escapes as well you must control. Like I said i isn't sitting there reading the whole time. It took me around 7 to 8 hours to complete Chicken Police, and I will certainly be going back to play it again soon. I loved it so much, and is one the best game I reviewed in awhile. This is those type of games you love as a reviewer. There is no way you saw this coming. To be honest It was more of a WTF is this moment when it popped up in my email to review. A game with "CHICKENS" as "POLICE"? I was so wrong though. Minutes in I was in love with this game. I also loved the music I must say. It really felt like something you'd see in these type of films. Even some beautiful singing from one of the characters Natasha. You cat lovers are really going to adore her I think. She is the main female character of the game, and she is a Dame as Sonny might say. She is the main thing that gets you into this mess is all I'll say. I'm sorry I'm so vague, but this is a special game and story and I really want you to experience it all for yourself. Once you play it I'm sure you'll understand why. Chicken police is something very special that you must experience for yourself to really understand. I say a lot of people see my score for this one, and think I'm crazy. They will quickly understand and feel the same once they give it a chance themselves. I'm so glad I got to review this one, because it is one of those you might miss out on. Just looking at it from the outside it doesn't seem like something as special as it is. Once you get your hands on it, and start to read other reviewers takes on it you know just how important this one is. If you only play one Indie game this year I hope it's Chicken Police: Paint it Red. Overall Impression: 9.8 Chicken Police is a can't miss. With out question my Indie Game of the Year. The story, the music, the voice acting, the characters. It all just adds up to something very special that I'm sure most will fall in love with it like I did.

A really affordable game that offers a real challenge and fun Achievements. If you like games that really test your skills like "Super Meat Boy" you gotta check this one out. A quality release all around. Excellent visuals and music as well. Really worth your time and money.

So I really had a good time with “Golf with Friends” it took me back to when I first got my XBOX 360 and a little game I got from the arcade store “3D Ultra Mini Golf Adventures” It was one I played over and over and just couldn’t get enough of. This title really took me back to the fun I had on there playing with random people on Xbox live. I kind of struggled to find people playing on the XBOX version which kind of ****. Tons of people play and stream the PC version though so if your looking for tons of people to play with I might recommend on there instead. I had to search European servers to find people to play on XBOX. On there I was able to get a nice game of 6 going online. It is possible to play with up to 12 though. If you have a lot of friends you play with on LIVE be fun to get some full games going especially since it’s currently on Game Pass. I figure most people will have a blast playing with their friends even if they don’t like golf. Every one loves mini golf, and all the cool obstacles you come across on the courses. let’s talk a little about those. There are tons of cool decoration and obstacles through out the many , many levels. Things like Dinosaurs, Knights who chop with axes, to portals. I could go on and on talking about these. There is also many of powerups like anti gravity, jet packs, and ability to bounce on water. This game is going to make you play it over and over to master these courses. If you want to be competitive online your going to play this a ton learning every course. There are so many of them that the replay almost feels limitless. Levels like Space Stations, Deserts, Candy Lands, Museums, Haunted Houses, and so many more. This is one of those games you are going to invest a huge amount of time into, and at $20 your really gonna feel your getting way more of your money’s worth out of this one. Not only are you going to invest time into learning it, but also into unlocking it’s many customization items. You can unlock tons and tons of hats for your ball, ball trails, and even change the color of your ball. Like I said replay galore. I know the title is Golf with Friends, but I actually played this a lot alone as well. I had just the same level of enjoyment playing it solo unlocking Achievements and learning courses. You still get a score for the levels so you can try and beat your previous scores while you learn as well. So I could highly recommend this to people who don’t like playing online, and don’t have that competitive edge. It’s really relaxing listening to the quality music that seems to fit each level perfectly while you make your way through 18 holes. I can honestly say this is the most fun I’ve had with a golf game in years. I really hope to find a bunch of people who play this on the regular to enjoy it with. Look forward to mastering the courses, and the shot meter to where I’m dominating people online. Hopefully see some of you guys and gals there.

Lunch a palooza is multiplayer fighting game that reminds me a bit of the gang beasts style of silly action and physics. It can be played with a total of four people, and provides various hazards and power ups during the match to add to the chaos. There is four different modes with different rule sets, but the general idea is to just stay alive and knock everyone else off the map. There is also a variety of maps and different occurrences per map. For example one has floating silverware that randomly attacks you. The game is often just pure silly chaos, and I think that’s great. It’s not a game that can be taken seriously, so its also not a game you can get angry over. The controls are a bit clunky, and the general feel of the game is a bit… dated. But generally speaking I had fun playing it. I think perhaps for what it offers, I personally would buy it if there was a sale, but $20 feels a bit steep. I would recommend this sort of game to someone with young kids that like to play games and won’t care too much if the overall game isn’t super polished feeling. But I also think there are probably better alternatives available at that price. The game offers many different skins and characters to choose from, and I think little kids would definitely enjoy the options. Lunch a palooza is just simple fun and while older crowds may tire of it, I think it would suit a sleep over of eight to twelve year olds quite well. For these reasons my rating is 6/10. Room for improvement, but still a fairly pleasant experience.

CrossKrush is an adorable little puzzler about a elderly couple trying to enjoy some dancing and quality Jazz when they are distracted by the sound of the Interstate outside their home. In a hilarious over reaction the couple spring outside to stop the sounds of the horns by blowing the cars up with bombs , or by just whacking them with canes. The concept is just so off the wall and comical. I couldn’t wait to review this one, and overall it was a really quality experience. It’s not something I see you playing over and over, but it’s a good way to spend a evening or even with a friend or loved one. The single and Coop experience are both equally enjoyable. The idea is to blow up cars before they reach a check point. You can blow them up by detonating the road underneath them or by whacking them with your cane. You will also pick up powerups like one that makes you grow into a giant and be able to take out cars with one swing of your cane. There is also a laser powered cane that can take out a whole line of cars. You will also find health powerups if you aren’t playing it on the harder modes. You are meant to destroy cars, but you need to let the ambulance through. It isn’t overly challenging, and the pattern never changes. I would have like to seen this randomly generated to allow for replay value. It will however keep you entertained for awhile though as there is ten stages with 10 waves each. So it is good for a couple hours of entertainment. It really looks and sounds great though, and has some quality music. It runs really well in my opinion as well. I didn’t experience any issues, and I thought it was fun and hilarious from start to finish. I had a good time playing it alone, but also enjoyed playing it with some one as well. I enjoyed the characters. I liked seeing elderly characters used in a game, because that isn’t a usual thing in the gaming industry. usually it’s making fun of, or having them pass for the sake of drama. It was really cool to see them full of life and the Protagonist. It’s a really decent overall experience , and I’d certainly recommend to any one looking to pad their gamer scores, to have something short to play with a friend or family member , or just fans of puzzlers in general. So check it out , and let us know what you thought of it. To me it’s just a short and sweet pleasant way to spend a night alone, or with someone who also enjoys puzzling fun.

Now let's get my opinion , but there is also a video review below. I can never get enough **** Shmup. There is just something that takes me back to playing classics when i first got into gaming like. Life Force, Gradius, Defender, and a couple under rated games in my opinion like Star Force and Aegis Wings. All these really made an impression on me during their times. Grood did the same thing on first site in my opinion. I loved how it looked. It can be bright and beautiful, and change to dark and dreadful in no time. It has dynamic weather that can make it sunny and bright or just turn into a dark downpour. So it never really feels like the same experience. That factor of color change also plays into the health monitoring system. When the screen is clearly visible and colorful it means your health is full, but as you take damage everything turns darker, and even get a crack in your screen as if your windshield was busted. I think all of these make it always feel fresh, and like a new experience. Another way of making a non repetitive experience is how the level changes, It doesn't end and have a loading screen, You just advance to the next stage a constant run. That is really what the game is about in my opinion trying to put together your top run, or a leaderboard type run. It feels really good advancing into a new area, you know right then you've beat your previous score. Each time you see a new place it feels really rewarding. I kind of compared to to the Dark Souls of Shmups. Like in Dark Souls one of the most special things is getting past something you struggled on, and seeing a whole new area with new enemies and scenery. That is how Grood works as well. When you come across new Bosses and enemies you have to learn new attack patterns. You can spend a lot of hours failing and then accomplishing in Grood, and I love that about it. Not every one has 30 hours to play a game every time they sit in front of their television. Grood is one of those you can go a few rounds before bed , super, going out, just what ever you need to do, but want to get a little bit of gaming in before. I guess you could get really good and maybe play it for a super long time. I think more than likely though at first you are just doing really short runs especially when the games modes are Hard, Hard, and Hard lol. It really let's you know from the start what you are in for. It's worth the grind though and the learning. I've been playing it a few days , and it's so fun to see something new every time I play it. You can't beat the price either. $4.99 you wouldn't expect to get the play time you will out of something at that value. I feel like I robbed these guys. I been playing it nonstop, it never feels repetitive and always feels fresh. The soundtrack is pretty killer as well. Has some really killer metal sounding tunes. It really fits into the 90s feel of the entire game. It also even has a 90's mode with more Retro looking visuals. I can't think of anything really to say negative. All this has been mainly positive, and I haven't even mentioned how spot on and smooth the controls are. It's just a fun little Shmup that all fans of the genre are sure to enjoy.

The Ubermosh series has been trickling into the Switch eShop entry by entry over the past couple of years. These hectic twinstick shooters are known for their deep challenge and intricate design — each game being shaped by player feedback to cultivate a true community-cultivated experience. Santicide is the sixth entry in the Ubermosh series, originally seeing a 2018 release on Steam. This arcade shooter plays in the form of 90-second rounds where the player attempts to not only take out as many enemies as possible, but also attempt to survive. Living, though, is usually easier said than done, and the carnage you leave in your wake is an ever-present reminder that the clock is ticking and you must keep moving or you will die. Santicide is another arena brawler, with twinstick shooting mechanics. Different abilities can be selected and other characters can be unlocked as you progress, each with different starting abilities and affinities. While the colorful and deadly techniques you can utilize are incredibly useful for wiping out massive amounts of enemies, learning the best times to use them can be tricky. In learning, expect a lot of deaths as you find your rhythm. Try not to look at the timer, else you may miss an enemy baring down on you from your peripheral vision. Graphically, the game’s pixel art style lends really well to the flashy lights that trickle across the screen when using abilities, and the smears of defeated enemies leave weapons and blood behind that stand as a testament to the outright carnage unfolding in the arena. The sound, too, is pretty great overall. After clearing a 90-second level, you can take a break before moving on to the next one, which is great because I found myself getting incredibly tense during rounds and the break staved off the finger cramps I was used to in the last games. Pros: -Our one-man developer is getting better with each entry -Classic arcade-style gameplay -The timer mechanic can help you with feeling like there’s too much at once. Cons: -Steep learning curve -Not new player friendly Overall: 8.5/10 Ubermosh: Santicide proves that a one-man development team can accomplish a lot with just player feedback as a motivator and balance check. For arcade fans and gamers who don’t mind a challenge, these bite-sized games are a perfect fit. Players who struggle with twinstick shooters may want to steer clear, as this series is not very friendly to new players.

I would have loved to be worked into this more slowly. I don’t mean this as a super negative though. The reason I feel like this is the atmosphere, sound, and surroundings are actually creepy as hell. Like you hear the lady talking about where are her pills, and it’s just creepy as hell except they have already shown you both of the enemies so there is nothing left to the imagination. I would have loved to just explore the house a little more, and be eased into the nightmare of trying to survive. It is just so rushed, but I guess that is kind of expected considering you can beat the whole game in barely over an hour. Hopefully they do well enough to make a sequel, or Prequel would probably work out better considering the way this one ends. Right now though this one is super short though, and still cost $20. I have a hard time saying you get $20 worth of content. If you find it on sale though it’s still really enjoyable. Another issue in my opinion is the combat and the overall controls. There is a lot of times reacting with objects seems really delayed. Like you hit the “A” button and nothing happens for like 10 seconds. The combat just seems really rough around the edges as well. Just feels like you are swinging away and unsure if it’s even making contact. You will see in my video review better, You swing and swing away, and the enemy just sits there. Like a couple times in my play throughs they died and were still standing up so I wasn’t sure what to do. There is only a few battles though so this isn’t something that you are going to deal with a lot. When you aren’t dealing with these issues it’s really creepy. Like the Atmosphere really keeps you on the edge of your seat. You never know what is going to happen next. It’s also super gory and bloody. Which I loved every second of. I know it sounds like I’m being negative about the combat, price, and length of this title but I’m really not. I’m being honest which is important when you review games. In my honest opinion I still quite enjoyed it. Despite it’s flaws I think the positives out weigh them. The games look, feel, and sound really adds up to a really horrifying experience at times. I can’t even begin to explain just how good this games sounds in your headset or on your tv. You will hear footsteps, mumbling, and just so many thing that really add to the experience of not knowing what is around the next corner. It also has a raw/grimy look to it as well. It really gives me a Resident Evil 7 feel as far as it’s appearance at most times. There was a lot of moments I was grossed out ,or felt really uneasy and that is why you play games like this. So don’t get me wrong it sets out to do the things it wants to, but leaves you wanting more as it comes to a end very quickly. I really hope to see Draydur studio continue with this series or at least continue making horror games. I think they did well a lot more than they missed the mark. I feel when they missed the mark it wasn’t by much either.

Typical of Ratalaika releases this one delivers affordable quality experience with EASY Achievements or Trophies. Perfect for the Halloween season dark and spooky art style resembling the Game “Limbo” with just BEAUTIFUL music all delivered by Piano. I highly recommend this for fans of puzzling/golf style games. Will give you hours and hours of fun with over 70 levels. Each level has up to three stars to earn based on how many strokes you complete it in. It will challenge you, but the Achievements aren’t difficult to obtain for you Achievement hunters.

I had a really good time with this one. Typical Ratalaika fashion easy achievements and tons of fun. You can choose from four different Knights, and they all have unique abilities. You have to protect a princess by keeping enemies off of her by building walls, traps, and fighting waves of various enemy types. The enemies are adorable, and fit well with the level you are on. The same can be said for the bosses. You will battle adorable slime Octopus and giant Cupcakes. Just a lot of really well designed and fun characters to see in this one. The princess is adorable as well with her little pigtails. The whole game design is just quality in my opinion. All the way down to the mini games, music, and bonuses you can obtain. It’s a modern retro that really gives you everything you loved about games of the past with doses of things that are current that will keep you coming back to it. There is so many things to unlock, and hidden things to find you can play it far after you’ve got that complete Achievement score. Like daily bonus and roulette wheel that lets you spend coin to unlock special abilities. I kept playing it far after I collected my 1,000. When you beat the boss for the level it isn’t over it just picks up pace and becomes more of a challenge. That is something I love about most Ratalaika releases. They set the Achievements up for the people grabbing the game for the score, but leave plenty after that for the people who enjoy the games as well. It’s also a pretty cool couch coop game as well. It’s one you will enjoy playing with your friends a ton. It has some RPG elements, but it’s more Roguelike. Like you can level up, but it’s just for that run. The perks/abilities you unlock though stick with you. So it’s something you can step away from , and come back to and not feel lost. It’s also one of those games you can pick up before bed or dinner when you just have a few minutes to do a nice little run. So check out the video review below if you’d like a more in depth look at the game play. I really feel most retro gaming fans will find the joy in this one easy. It has that one run type quality of old school arcade titles like Donley Kong. Not every one has hours and hours to sit in front of their television gaming, and games like this that are short and sweet really do fill that need. I could take a break to relax and sit down with this one today, tomorrow, or years from now and still have the same enjoyable experience.

I was a huge fan of the original, so was excited to get this version in to review. I had read comments saying there was a lot of issues with it at launch so delayed my review a bit before playing it. I jumped into it about 2 weeks after release. I kind of worried about that knowing this game can take up to 100 hours to complete., but I was having some back issues so had plenty of down time so decided to go at it non-stop. I had no issues with it getting the late start so they must have ironed them out quickly. I only played about 50 to 60 hours, because i wanted to get this in quick. I had played the original and DLCs so i figured that be enough time to give a honest impression. I can honestly say I enjoyed it as much as the original, and i can really see why or why not you’d make this upgrade. It looks a little better, nothing drastic I don’t think. They cleaned up the first one they didn’t completely redo like some remasters. They left everything you loved about the original, keeping the original source as close to the one you know and love. So if your a huge fan and wanted a upgrade I can see spending the 39.99 easy. Like I said 100 hours so you are gonna be getting your value back no question. The way this game is set up you can play it over and over as well. There is just so much content, and gameplay variations that make this game one of those you can buy if you don’t buy a lot of games or only get for gifts, and play it all year. If you are new to it it can seem a little dated especially if you have been playing Witcher or something like that. To explain it really has a first fable type vibe to it. So if you enjoy RPGs of that period of time I can see you loving this. Your character customization from the start really just shows how in depth this game is going to be. There are so many options of appearance but also skills. You can literally play this in so many different ways, and it never feel the same. Like you can upgrade different character types, and have different moves and magics. Same goes with the weapons for these classes. You can have a ton of different weapons from light and heavy swords to Staffs, bows, daggers, and so much more. You can even mix these type of classes up and try different ones. You get a primary and secondary weapon spot so can try two different ones at once. You decide you don’t like your choices you can change the styles and weapons at any time. So your choices in this game seem limitless. The same goes for story choices, there are so many different ways to go along your journey. Join certain factions, help different people, just do the main missions it’s up to you. The options and game’s map is enormous. You will be entertained for hours and hours. I probably spent hours just managing my inventory, deciding what to use and sell. If I didn’t get games like I do and wanted something that made me feel like I got my money’s worth I’d with out a doubt would grab this. Let’s talk about how it looks and sounds for a bit. I think it’s a improvement over the original’s look, but I don’t think it’s a huge improvement. It’s not a difference that is mind blowing, but it’s enough to feel like you are playing it on a new console. If you enjoyed how the original looks I think it really keeps that original detail and design. I love all the different monster and enemy types, they all vary so much. It will make you approach with caution to learn their different attacks, or element damage they can do to you. Like some can give you diseases or curses, or have fire or electricity. You have to pay attention, and sometimes use different weapons or armors in areas. There are different skill levels though if you struggle, you can play it on easier levels. So it is for all skill of players in my opinion. I loved the sounds and music as well very melancholy and fitting of the time period. Like I said it really has that original Fable feel and setting. If you loved it or Oblivion I can see you really enjoying this as well. I can’t wait to finish up this review and go play it some more. I’ll have to reinstall it though, because I had to delete it to actually make myself go and do this review. I just couldn’t stop playing it. It is one of those worlds you just get lost in. Such amazing enemies, NPCs, and stories that just keep you glued to the television. The world is just so easy to travel, and fun to explore. Loaded with so many secrets and loot to find. I found myself just wanting to check around every corner for a chest to lock pick, or cave to explore. It’s really an addictive experience., and I’m so glad I got to step back into this lovely game. Playing it over refreshed me on so many classic moments, and new ones since I didn’t have the DLCs on the original. I heard they may even do some new DLC, I can only hope. So if you love RPGs like I do. I highly recommend you checking this one out. Especially if you never experienced it last Gen.

So if you know me, you know I’m a huge “Friday the 13th” fan so i was so excited to see this pop in my games to review. I enjoyed the NES classic version and the one that released a few years back was awesome as well. It really did an amazing job at capturing the movie magic. Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle though I loved from the start. It really makes me want a animated Friday the 13th series. The animation in this is just amazing, as well are the kills. I never got tired of seeing just how Jason was going to use his new weapon, or how each level starting or ending cutscene would play out. What really surprised me was just how much content was there. !2 episodes in total covering really cool places like Crystal Lake or some place you’d never expect to go like prison or prehistoric times. It all seemed so crazy, and I felt like I played this for days. I might have considering there is over 150 levels to play. The content doesn’t stop there though. There is tons of different Jason’s and weapons as well. You will spend days unlocking them all. The objective of the puzzles are to kill everyone on the level of course. The game let’s you start out by choosing PG or R rating. Who the hell is going to be playing this and choosing PG though? The way the puzzles work is you can move in straight lines towards enemies, and you have to get them lined up to attack so you have to plan moves ahead not just move around freely doing what ever you want. There will also be traps in the way like cops, fire, water, and even cats. You know you can’t kill cats, so you have to avoid them as well. There will also be escape routes for the victims in case you mess up they can get out of there. So you have to plan for that as well. There is no set amount of moves you can use except for on a few levels you’ll have a set number to accomplish it in. They can be really challenging, but never frustrating though. The main reason is Mommy will give you hints, and even show you how to do it if need be. So with a little help from Pamela Voorhees you will reach the end no matter how bad at puzzle games you are. With this option it really makes it playable for all skill levels. This game is really for all fans of the franchise, and a can’t miss in my opinion. It’s loaded with things to keep you coming back. There is actually a daily challenge that will give you a new puzzle every day. Nail these 13 days in a row unlock some more Jason Voorhees skins. So it’s always fresh, and new feeling. It can feel repetitive if you played it like I did though. I wanted to get my review done in a timely fashion so I did everything in a couple days. I literally played this non-stop. Where it can get a little repetitive is for Achievement hunters trying to get to level 100 as a character and get 1000 kills in the marathon mode. Marathon Mode? Yes it’s a level where you have to stop a meter just in time to get a kill. It will go and go until you miss. My tops was around 45. Every time you play this and get to victim 14 you will level up and get a Jason Crate. In these you will get 4 weapons. You will be trying to collect all these for days there are so many. There’s even a trade in system for your duplicates. Trade in 3 dupes get another crate. I spent hours doing this trying to capture every weapon. In marathon mode you will see every kill, and every weapon type in game it’s so much fun slaying campers while listening to some bad ass music. Oh yeah let’s talk about the music… This game has awesome music from the movie while you do the puzzles, and it fits in really well it overall. The music really ramps up on marathon mode though. You are treated to the rock n roll sounds of great bands like The Jasons and Stiker. You will love all these songs that play during the massacre. They really take you back to when these movies were hitting your local theatres and video stores. Really catchy stuff like “Run for your life” and “I can’t stop killing”. I wish you could play these out of the menu, because I’d be listening to them as I typed out this review. The game looks great to it’s really bright and colorful animation and backgrounds. I loved seeing the blood splatter, and seeing all the different counselors and levels. This might be my favorite game this year so far. I had a blast, and think all Friday fans will as well.

’m always excited to see games like this released and look forward to reviewing them. The FPS exploration of creepy places can really pull you in, and give you that uneasy feeling. Unfortunately this title doesn’t do that very much. It really fails to give you that vibe. There is a few times though, and when it does they are quality scares. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a quality experience though. It is a quite well delivered Mystery in my opinion. The quality of voice acting is stellar. It took me back to “FireWatch” and how I felt about that games voice acting talent. Even if I wasn’t scared as I would like to be playing a game like this. I was drawn in by the story, and the dialogue was so enjoyable. It’s full of moments that made me laugh, or took me back to the time period. Both voice actors did an outstanding job making you feel exactly what the story wanted you to in the moment. The story is entertaining, and you will enjoy it for most parts. It is kind of predictable, but still intriguing. You may figure it out early, but you will still want to wait around to be sure. It really gave me that “When a Stranger Calls” vibe. That is probably a reference to old for some of you, but if you haven’t seen it check it out. It’s a really excellent horror film. You play as a woman returning to a hotel she grew up right after the death of her father. She returns there with bad memories from 10 years earlier when she left it after discovering her father had an affair with a girl the same age as her named Rachel Foster. Her and her mother rushed out of there, and she never returned. So after the death she returns to look the place over for her lawyer before putting it up on the market. The only thing is a horrible snow storm rolls in leaving her stuck there for awhile. This is where, and why the mystery begins as you discover people who say Rachel Foster is alive, and still inside the hotel. The story takes place in Lewis and Clark County in Helena Montana. I just love the loading screens with the post cards showing the area, and the opening scene traveling there in the snow. It really gives you a sense of the area, and location site. The hotel is huge, and even though you may not be able to explore every inch of it the size of it will keep you entertained for hours. You have a map, but it never really feels like it’s needed as the layout is pretty easy to learn. You will almost feel like you’ve been here before as you start to make your way around it with ease. there was times I really just felt I knew exactly where, and what I had to do next. Like I was actually a part of the story. The game offers different dialogue choices, and options of ways to carry out your objective so i could see you playing this a couple times. i was happy enough with one play through though. Mainly because I had played the first several days over a couple times as my game didn’t save properly. I just finally left it up and running until I could return to be safe. That wasn’t the only issue i ran into either unfortunately. I noticed I wasn’t getting Achievements so I uninstalled and reinstalled still nothing. So I looked at stats and 0% of people had them so week after release , and still isn’t fixed. That is kind of a letdown, because after you spend that much time completing a game you really don’t want to have to go back through it just to get what you should have got the first time. Even if you enjoyed it there is a lot of new games coming out, and you hate to replay it as soon as you finished it. I’m sure this will be fixed, and I’ll return to it at a later date to collect them. This type of thing is usually fixed pretty quick though surprised to see it’s still a issue today. I think it’s still worth your time though. At 19.99 I don’t mind a game that I only play a couple of times if it delivers a story I enjoy. I really enjoyed this story a lot. The characters and the location just really felt like I was a part of it. That is when you know the voice acting, story, and setting is quality when you feel like you are really there? When you get invested in it. I couldn’t wait to figure how it all played out, even if I had kind of figured it all out early. You want start to feel for the main character, and want things to turn out well for her. You really start to feel like it’s you, and this is your hotel. What else can you really ask for in a game like this? To be entertained, and pulled into it is a really successful outcome for a game in this genre. I recommend this to fans of what a lot of people call walking sims. Maybe not so much horror fans. It has it’s moments, but in the end it really satisfies the mystery and story lovers more.

Deleveled isn't just one of those basic puzzlers involving squares, and strange patterns. It's actually a super original concept that brings something really fresh to the puzzling genre. The idea is really simplistic. To a point where it is kind of hard to write a super extended review about it. It is basically Get to switches or buttons what ever you want to call them with the top and bottom blocks. It is really easy to explain , but not as easy to master. Some of the layouts can really confuse you, and test your mental capacity. The main reason there is no jump button. The blocks move based on momentum. You really only use the left stick to move them across the platforms. The jumping is done by the blocks crashing against the floors below them. If the blocks go off that floor, and hit each other it's instant failure. If the blocks don't line up, and have a large bounce between them more than likely it's a fail as well. There are some puzzles where jumping isn't a key factor so it's able to still win, but for the most part you will need to keep the momentum going. There are 10 different worlds adding up to a whopping 120 levels. So at 7.99 Deleveled is going to keep you entertained for some time. You would think that it would start to feel repetitive, but each world introduces a new mechanic that keeps it fresh. You may start to feel you've got the hang of it, and have it mastered and then they throw a new element at you. They even throw some secrets, challenges, and bonus material at you as well. Even when you do finish it , and start to know your way around it you will want to complete the challenges and try to beat each level without death. I could see speed runners wanting to do this as well, as race for times on it. It really feels like one of those games that people will make super competitive, and battle awhile for times. I can see the world record speed and no death videos popping up on Youtube already. That is exciting to me when a game knows how to keep the player coming back even after they have finished it. That is a special development team, and a special game in my opinion. I couldn't finish this review without covering the sights and sounds of the title. Yes it isn't much to look at. It looks quite simplistic, but don't let that fool you. Anyone one remember "Thomas was Alone"? It was a game about just blocks that was really quite special. "Deleveled" is quite special as well. I'm not saying it is on level with "Thomas was Alone" that was a really special game to me, and maybe one of my top 100 games of all times. It was such a heart warming story, with top notch narration. Maybe some the best voice acting in a game ever. Deleveled might be one of the best puzzlers ever though. It is really special as in it delivers a really original concept. I've never played another puzzler like it, and if you know of any like it let me know. It was super unique to me. You aren't going to care at all what it looks like when you start trying to solve its challenging puzzles. That alone won't keep you entertained though, the music is going to grab you as well. It is super addictive, and fun. I was hooked on hearing the next song so many times that it kept me going. I can't put into words just how fun the soundtrack for this game is. As soon as it starts you will notice that, and to the very end you will be humming and nodding your head along.

Hotshot Racing caught my eye from the announcement of it’s upcoming release. In my teen years I spent a lot of time with “Daytona Racing” at the Arcades and on the Sega Saturn. I loved everything about it from it’s art style, to it’s incredible music. “Hotshot Racing” really captured everything I loved about it, and a heck of a lot more. So many more game modes, vehicles, and characters that i really don’t know where to start. That isn’t my only struggle though, I don’t want to work on this review because that means I’m not playing it. It’s that hard to step away from especially if you have people to play it with you. There are a ton of modes, and it’s just a blast to play with friends. It’s even fun playing with people you don’t even know. The game has couch and online multiplayer so the best of both worlds. Let’s just start with the modes I guess. Sounds a good a place as any. My favorite mode of course is the standard Grand Prix where you can choose from one of the 8 Hotshots and one of their four vehicles. Keiko, Xing, Mike, Alexa, Aston, Toshiro, Marcus and Viktor all have four different cars , and lifestyles. When you win a cup with one of them it delivers a little story cut scene about them and why they are trying to be the best racer in the world. It’s a blast to listen to so make sure you don’t skip it. Each character has their own sayings and stuff while racing. Some really funny and enjoyable lines that are hard to forget. You can also upgrade their cars with money you get for winning. So you can make the cars and drivers look a ton of different ways. You don’t have to be greedy it’s easy to make money so spend away. My second favorite mode would have to be Cops and Robbers. Yous tart the race with the cops chasing you, and as they catch each racer they are converted to Cops as well until there is just one. It makes for some really intense action.This mode is a multiplayer’s dream as the fun just never ends, and winning feels so good. There is also a Drive or Explode mode where you have a set speed you can’t drop below or you explode. Reminds me of the movie speed or the vehicle missions on GTA 5. There is also Quick races, Drifting, and boosting modes to help improve those skills. When you drift in this game your boost goes up, you can pocket up to 5 and then you stop gaining them so best to use them wisely. All these modes make the game really addicting, and it never feels repetitive at all. Each mode is available in single-player, four-player split-screen and eight-player online, while Time Trial is single-player only. Single-player modes run at a blistering 60FPS to deliver one of the fastest depictions of racing possible. There are also online Leaderboards for you people who like to compare times against other racers and friends. I’m sure you will find me there. The looks and sounds really give you that 90’s Arcade racer feel. It looks and feels a lot like “Daytona” but a lot more in depth. There are a lot more bright and colorful areas. Take in coastal, jungle, alpine and Las Vegas desert environments, with each course modeled with the most vivid colors and blue skies for miles. It is just beautiful to look, and I love how much the environments change race by race. The music is top quality as well. I really enjoyed a lot of the songs that played along the way. I just enjoyed everything about this game from start to finish, and have a hard time finding anything negative to say about it. If you love racing games like I do I’ll find it hard to believe if you don’t enjoy this one as well. It just does everything right. The way it looks and sounds, to all the different choices of environments, racers, and cars. All the really unique and different modes, as well as ability to play with who you want to either at home or online. It’s hard to not enjoy all that. I really hope to hear from some of you on this one, and maybe throw together some races. Would be a lot of fun to actually find more people to enjoy this one. I always love “Curve Digital” games, but this might actually be my new favorite of their releases. So grab it , and give me a shout in the comments, and maybe we can make a lobby. There is just so much to do on it, and everything was thrown together just perfectly.

The story takes place in Ramezia, and the hero is Sister Semilla a Nun that in the time of the fourth Witch War. A time when The Sacred Office, a powerful organization is set out on destroying and purging all Witches. Any one taking part in Ceremonies against the laws of the Church are considered Witches, and the missionaries/sisters Semilla and Fran must purify them. The story inspired by the history of medieval Europe, and is sort of a sequel to Momodora from Bombservice. They have a lot of similarities in their styles. So if you enjoyed it you are more than likely going to enjoy this as well. The first thing you notice the game is just so beautiful. The style is made up from hand painted 2-D art with Cel-shading. It just pops as you make your way through each area. The environments vary so much across the huge map. It never looks repetitive, from snow covered landscapes to ones covered in beautiful flower gardens. Dark Dungeons to amazing castle walls with unbelievable moonlit skies in the background. It is just such a treat for the eyes. The music is outstanding as well. It really adds to the action, and panic of the boss battles. It also sets the mood for the environments as well. To say it’s very enjoyable is a under statement, and it’s just another perfect addition among many positives for this title. Might as well get used to it I’m going to be praising this game from start of the review to the finish. Maybe one of my favorite things about Minoria is the combat, and the controls. It is just spot on and smooth. Every attack and jump is flawless and fun. There are also magic casting, parrying, and dodging mechanics as well. They all really mesh well into some unforgettable combat moments, and battles with bosses. The dodge roll feels so good as you bounce around from left to right of your enemy. It is all really easy to learn, but will take some work to master. There are a lot of people who have though the internet is loaded with no damage runs. It’s really fun to watch people do this, and see how they approach every situation. There are tons of attacks you can learn as well from a double jump attack to a charged one. Timing is everything with these moves. You will find these as well as new weapons and magic spells along the way. Some of them are really well hidden as “Minoria” is full of hidden areas and secrets. They are fun to find, and you can even find a spell that will alert you when you are near one. They will also help you find the collectible journal pages as well. The weapons all are different and have unique attack styles and perks. So exploration is a must , and a blast. It’s one of those games where as you level up and learn you get special abilities that let you reach areas you couldn’t before. That means there is a little back tracking , but it’s just so much fun doing so. Getting to see what new enemy types, and what else lies ahead. With all the things I’ve already praised, I have to say the Bosses are my favorite. There are a lot of them to. They all have very different attack styles and patterns and it is a blast figuring them out. It can be super challenging, and you may even have to use different spells and perks to get past some of them. Like there are perks where you take 20% less damage, or ones that regenerate portions of health that can be really useful in these fights, and other stressful situations. The most important spells in my opinion though are the health ones over the attacking ones, especially until you learn the combat and defense. You might lose a few battles, but the save points are generous. You will make your way back, and get the victory if you continue to grind it out and learn. These checkpoints are generous on the map as well, so you won’t have to do a lot of things and find a lot of things over. I can honestly say I only had to go retrieve a item I had found and died shortly after a couple of times. The game isn’t easy, but it’s a lot more fun then stressful. For you gluttons for punishment can restart the game right after finishing it with a perk that makes you die with one hit. I know a lot of gamers will enjoy that. You can also use fast travel after beating it to retrieve any items or collectibles you might have missed, and you Achievement/Trophy hunters will enjoy that.

It’s no mystery how big of a Dark Souls fan I am. I’ve prob finished the first one over 50 times, so i was excited to see Mortal Shell finally pop up in my email. Spoiler alert for this review’s final score from the very start, but I loved it. I feel it might be the closest we have got so far to feeling that need for a Souls 4. Don’t get me wrong I really , really enjoyed “Hellpoint” but it was something totally different overall. It was like a “Souls” meets “Dead Space” experience. Mortal Shell emulates the original a lot better. Even the menus have the same feeling. It isn’t exact though it does one major thing different. Hardening instead of using of shield play. You can turn into stone and absorb one attack. You can do this mid attack, and even in the air so it lends to some really interesting attack play. It also some times lends to a repetitive attack style as well though. You will find some people double attack, harden, attack over and over. If you don’t get your self stuck in that routine though, you will find yourself doing some really cool maneuvers. You play as a mysterious wraith type creature who is very weak and can only take on shot. So you must find human warriors or shells as they are called to possess. That also lends to an original mechanic where you lose all your health , and are knocked out of the body. You have to get back into it with out being hit. if you can you get a full health bar. You can do this once per life. I know this might make this sound easy, but it truly isn’t. To be honest this can feel like more of a struggle than actual Souls at first. The game can be Hell, but finding the right character and upgrades can really help. I recommend just trying everything out your first play through. As a Souls fan I like to encourage exploring, but if you feel like giving up certainly try a walk through first. It’s worth experiencing it all, and hate to see people give up on it. There are a lot of excellent vids out there, that will help you find essential items that will make it so much easier. The 4 characters are so different and encourage different play styles. They have different upgrades that will be so useful as well. There is a huge Knight with a giant health bar I recommend finding if you are new to Souls Like games and are struggling. He can take a lot of punishment. There is a character that doesn’t lose stamina while running, and can lose Stamina on contact instead of Health. This is one of my favorites. The first one you find Horrus is also good for beginners. He is a completely balanced build, and his upgrade focus is on hardening. All 4 are fun to use, and learn though. The only thing is upgrades are important so you might want to find which you like first instead of trying to upgrade all four. There are also four different weapons as well. You have to defeat a secondary boss using that weapon to get **** weapons and Shells are all stored in the first tower you come to. So you can change any time you want. There are even items that will let you change characters in mid battle. Like the upgrading with Shells you might want to pick the weapon you like as well to get it fully upgraded. You can actually get one really strongly upgraded before even facing the first boss. These Bosses are a real struggle. You will think you got them after a tough battle just to realize they all have 2 phases, and health bars. So you have to beat them twice pretty much while they do a totally different and more aggressive attack pattern the second time. The good thing though the lady who saves and upgrades you is right at that boss battle so you don’t have to grind out the level over and over. If you have to leave to upgrade a weapon or something you also open up short cuts where you could with ease just sprint right back there. I really enjoyed the differences in the Bosses, and learning their attacks. I got my ass kicked a few times I won’t lie. Like I said it can be a challenge until you discover the weapons and shells you prefer.

I first heard about "Swim Out" while watching Major Nelson show off the new XBOX store. He seemed to really be into the fresh concept that it showcases. When you do what he does, for as long as he has done it I'm sure it all starts to get stale. I know as a a veteran gamer myself some times it all just starts to feel the same. Like same "Call of Duty" and "Madden" every 12 months. Another cutesy turn based RPG, Another Battle Royale. I know some people love, and can play the same game over and over, But I've always liked experiencing fresh ideas and trying new things. "Swim Out" is certainly one of those new things. It's a puzzler in a swimming Pool. It sounds like such a basic concept get in and out of the pool and avoid the other swimmers. To hear that it doesn't sound all that special , but when you experience it you realize it's so much more. I've heard a lot of people say in reviews it's the best puzzler on the Switch to date. I think I have to agree. I played it on the XBOX, but i stay really up to date with all the platforms libraries. I can't think of another puzzler on the Switch that offers what "Swim Out" does. Most the ones I've seen on there been super basic really, and not that imaginative. Swim Out you play as a swimmer in a blue swimming suit trying to get from the entrance of the pool to the exit. while people in red swimsuits try to block your path. They all have set movement patterns and they advance as you do. You are trying to make the right series of moves to move past them untouched. You would think this would get repetitive , but it doesn't. There are so many levels to. Over 100 across 7 chapters. there is no way you can learn all these patterns unless you are some kind of genius so every level and time you play it, it just feels fresh. There are also so many things thrown your way so no pool feels the same.There are 12 different objects to interact with :buoys, fins, water guns, you can even ride a kayak! The enemies are all different as well. If you would call them enemies. I think they just want to keep you in the pool , because you are so much fun to splash around with. They differ and keep it fresh though,each with their own way of moving around, ranging from the simple breaststroke swimmers to the more complex divers or cheeky water-bombing kids.There are also things that will get in your way, and you must time as well. 6 disruptive environmental elements like waves, crabs or jellyfish that will give your brain a work out until you swim out! So you are always having to adapt to new things, and people trying to stop your progress. I loved the sounds it really felt like I was at the pool, and we all know you'd love to be there or the beach right now, but Covid has everything shut down. "Swim Out" really brings you that experience. The music really fits into the games vibe as well. It is a really relaxing experience. Yes it can be difficult and a challenge, but it never frustrates. provides hours and hours of fresh challenging puzzling without the repetition and annoyance from having to start over when you fail. Yes there are times you mess up, but you usually get it the next go. It is one of those games that you spend a nice evening or weekend with, and come back to it time and time again because it just doesn't feel the same. I say a lot of people play it together passing the controller or even just lending an idea how to advance. It is really affordable as well at 5.99 you can't really get more content than you do here. 100's of levels with so much replay value. I really have no problem recommending this. I know we get a lot of people wondering about Achievements. It's not a easy cheap 1000 like you get from a Ratalaika or EastAsiaSoft title. You get Achievements for completing challenges and beating chapters. It is going to take you at least 3 hours if you cheat and use a walk through. I really recommend doing it on your own though and experiencing all "Swim Out" has to offer. It's really rewarding figuring the puzzles out on your own, and it will only take you a couple hours more probably. I know how much fun it is to watch those Achievements pop, but solving a "Swim Out" puzzle on your own feels good and fun as well. I'd compare it to "Dark Souls" and battling your way to discover a new beautiful area. Swim out feels really good like that as well. Pros: Fun and Challenging Always feels fresh and rewarding Really unique concept Tons of levels and replay Cons: Levels can start to look the same at times, but nice new additions of enemies,objects, and cute cut scenes do help. Overall: 7.5 Something for those Gamers looking for something new and fresh. For those people struggling with isolation, "Swim Out" brings the beach and pool experience to your home, on your PC or Television. Highly recommend to fans of puzzlers. Puzzling fans it's a can't miss.

What Happened brings something new to the table as Psychological horror goes. Yes it has the typical battle of the mind, but it does it in such a beautiful and trippy way that you are sure to never forget. Some of the games moments go on way to long, but some will be engraved in your gaming mind forever. It's certainly weird and creepy as hell, and I love it.

Him & Her is a puzzle platformer available for Nintendo Switch. The main goal of the game is to try and get to your significant other using platforming. The game has very simplistic graphics with a sort of hand drawn look to them. Him & Her has a pretty minimal tutorial in the first couple levels, and then sorta just leaves you to figure things out for yourself. I didn’t really mind this, especially since as far as I can tell, you get unlimited lives. At least on easy anyways. Personally I am not the greatest at platforming, so having an easy option was definitely a relief to me. Some of the things I liked about the game were just how minimalistic it is, it sort of felt like playing in a child’s drawings. The controls are also quite simple and fairly easy. I struggled a bit with jumping and timing, but I’m not sure if that was just me being bad or the game. I also really enjoyed walking on walls to solve the puzzles. The story, while simply told, is also fairly neat. The game’s description says it has a deep thought provoking experience, and I’m not so sure I’d go that far, but it was still pretty good. Considering the price, I think it was a perfectly fine game. The problems I had with this game are fairly minimal overall. It’s a bit short, and even though I thought the graphics were cute, I think some people will definitely hate it. It honestly reminds me of something I would’ve put on my myspace in like 2007. To me, that’s not a knock, but I think to some it’ll be a major turn off. For a buck, this game is perfectly passable. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s a fun little time passer. For these reasons, my overall rating is a 6/10.
