A lot of the issues they had have been fixed. I made it almost all the way through without any game crashing bugs or skills not working **** bug I found reoccurring and caused me to load saves was going into small homes and it being a bunch of white screen and white boxes and sometimes leaving everything else would be **** main gripe with the game and why I didn’t finish were the insanely long load times. I decided to save this one for when I get a laptop or something because honestly just going through long load screens for every single building was horrible and I could have beat the game 3-4 times over by the time I gor 1/4 to 1/2 of the way through if it wasn’t for the extremely long and frequent load times. Im talking like warcraft 3 classic map loading time every time you enter a house or even go down a ladder. Its terrible. That costs so much IRL time that if I were in a small town country side in 1995 and a small child hooked on video games again I would still stop playing because of how much time it was costing me.

They definitely have some things that I’m surprised was published in a final product back when it was released still in the game that even a patch could have easily fixed but all and all this is one of the best shooters and probably the best shooter on switch. It runs unbelievably smooth and looks phenomenal even on switch lite. I really couldn’t believe it. its definitely worth a pick up if you miss or cant play original dead space or miss old school shooters in general. It feels like they took a lot of inspiration from halo combat evolved in the intro. If you liked the first doom remake but not the second this is definitely worth a pick up especially for $10

Definitely a solid core game and port. Been playing it and its a definite improvement and worth picking up. I played quake 3 team arena for along time and I was never really a fan of original boomer shooters like quake 1 or Wolfenstein and as quake 2 was my first game in the genre and series on a demo disc from a magazine and I never got to play it again till now. It’s pretty good stuff. Always wanted a chance to play this again and see what it was I liked so much about it. The multiplayer is junk though. Pretty sure its an original base game problem with balancing and when it comes down to it I shouldn’t be point blank with a super shotgun and not be able to take them down. For realsies its like 10 hits point blank with the super shotgun to kill someone. And its really laggy. Cant compete with cross play when the person hosting has 90ms and everyone else has 230. Its almost like they time travel 2-3 seconds in the future and just pick people away with a rail gun.

Game is good. I think to much blur or bloom was used. Some crossed paths where travelers have an adventure together the volume of conversation is really low compared to rest of the game. A lot of re-skins of monsters once you hit the meat and potatoes of the game. It suffers the zelda botw effect where theres x amount of dungeons that look the same and x amount of light houses to go into. Like a dozen. what really killed the momentum for me and was a bit heart breaking was going through two different in between travel areas in the game on two different continents and realizing that all dozen random battles were the exact same enemies and position. Speaking of enemy variety its pretty decent when it comes to the story in places and the beginning but then you start getting like city rat number 1-8 and frog man number 1-8 and frog man 3 or whatever doesn’t even look like a frog its just a pile of goop with a tongue or arm and a spear sticking out. They also share the same purple blue magneta color scheme. So even if your in the desert, or a forest, or a mining town you will see frog man number 3 or city rat number 4 and they will have the same color scheme as each other and their other numbers as well. Thats my only gripe really. Things are a bit blurry. I think on other devices this isn’t as much as an issue. I also think its not as blurry as in the demo which is why I put it off for so long. Man I just remember days like final fantasy 7-9 and games like lunar silver star story where they had 4 whole discs and hours of content but no area looked the same as the last and no battle background or dungeon no matter how big or small was the same it was all unique and didn’t look like the last area or even another area. That just not the case anymore with a-lot of these games and I feel like as a story it just hurts the overall quality and legitimacy of it. But its a good game especially for a modern day RPG. Its definitely not something to miss if you like the story telling style of games like saga frontiers 2, or live a live, or something like secret of mana 3 this is a decent pick up if your so desperate for a decent story based game that your willing to shill out the cash for something you expected not to like and would never live up to the classics of old. Its like comparing modern day European club music to the break core and jungle music of the 90s. Its something new entirely while taking inspiration and being in the style or fashion of the originals in the past but just not being as good, of the same level of quality, or as fresh. I like the new direction things are going though and what they did is cute and fun. Its a good game on its own as long as your not constantly comparing it to the past or what you were expecting. Music and art style is definitely on point though. Menu slow downs on switch edition. FPS drops during combat like heavy fire spells maxed out and switching between catapults weapon selection in menu.

Its pretty good. I sunk some hours into this one. Its probably the only decent shooter offline on switch lite. I beat the loop like 5-6 times before I set it down. The art style and setting is unique and the humor is pretty good too. Eventually the loops run its course and you don't necessarily see every combination the game has to offer but once you get as deep as it goes its just to crazy to me really. I feel like I absolutely can’t win or grab the key item on those levels because the parameters are just to tight.

I was in love with this game before it even came out and I loved the intro. However it seems FPS issues got even worse the more patches that came out the worse the FPS issues were. Really sad because it was such a great game at its core. Some of the boss fights needed tightening up like the sand crab and sand crystals. Man. Literally the more they patched it the worse it got. Really awful it happened to this game of all games. It was a real gem. Beautiful.

I really liked this game. It was good until I hit a game breaking bug. Then after it was fixed I ran into another one later, or it crashed and lost my save I think right near the end. Its been about a year. Maybe they fixed it? If they did it’s pretty good stuff.

This really brought me back. Its in a league of its own. Not perfect but one of the best jrpgs I ever played. It really like stuck me back 30 years ago in my families home and triggered feelings I haven’t felt in so long I didn’t remember them. Its just such a breath of fresh air and so refreshing. I havent played a jrpg in a decade or more or let alone liked it. This was a real treat. I dont really believe just one or two people did it by themselves.

Awesome game. I like this kind of stuff so I’m a bit of a quarter or more of the way through and happy with it so far. Its got a hyper light drifter vibe to it. If you like hyper light drifter and deaths door this is definitely worth picking up. I think the graphics on switch and steam is definitely gonna be better than switch lite.

I feel like this is the evolution of what games should have or could have been. Like NBA jam and retro bowl are way more fun for me. I never got to play f zero so this was a treat especially with 99 players. Thanks for making that one kids dream come true. Or close to it anyways. Wish more games were like this now days.

I like it. I think its pretty good. I like this kind of stuff though. The platforming part can get a little jenky. Sometimes the story can move a little fast or get confusing in the beginning because I’m trying to learn all kinds of stuff fast and I start getting confused. Update: I’m pretty close to the end of the game and I have to say its one of the best and most wonderful games I’ve ever played and I really like the different bosses. It’s pretty good stuff.

Definitely worth a buy. Once in a lifetime game. Dont see to many as good and engaging as this one. I haven’t been this absorbed by a game in a long time. Probably since the messenger and a small few others. worth a try. Handling gets a bit off in tight situations. Sometimes with alot of fire on screen FPS takes a dive.

If you played the SNES games religiously and beat them over and over again as a Kid just stay away from this because its just going to make you want to get a copy of the old games. I dont even think the graphics are as good as the SNES version. The boss fights arent either. I dont blame the developer. I blame whoever enforced the budget and time frame they were working with or whatever it was that caused these set backs. Bad leadership or a common engine that has lots of problems. Who knows. Unity and unreal are terrible. I knew as soon as I heard the intro music it was going to be not great. The intro dialogue was unskippable. Found NPCs request skips itself before I can even read it. The switch edition is hard to see and make details out of. I think its a lighting issue with these multi console retro inspired games because if I load them on another device everything is fine and I can see it pretty good. This game and the attacks don’t match or exceed the SNES games or come anywhere close to as great or fun as they were. As a stand alone game its not bad but I can tell where things were rushed or not polished very well. I know it was probably beyond their control or a low budget attempt. Personally I think a bit more or a budget would have led to a much better game.
