After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned about what I was about to play when I first picked up Order:1886. All I heard was raving about "too short", "too depressing", "too many quick time event", "too many cut scenes." Thankfully I didn't listen to the reviewers that often. This game was fantastic and can't wait to play through it again in a couple weeks. Yes, this is a game that relies heavily and almost entirely on story--and I loved every minute of it. The game is stunning and transitions perfectly between game and cut scenes. There are plenty of quick time events and they are fine how they implemented them--not sure there is any other good way of trying to do the game they created. They crafted a high quality story based game. Would I have like to see a 4 v 4 multiplayer mode or maybe a 4 v 1(humans vs lycan) sure, but I'm not really disappointed that they didn't. They had a purpose and they crafted it wonderfully. Open world players or players generally not interested in story. Stay away it will be a nightmare for you. My only disappointments are the picking up random objects and looking at them--there was really no purpose. And the goddamned armored shotgun rebels. Other than that, loved it.

This game is quite fun. I've only had time to play through the first few levels of the campaign and have had a great time with it. I would recommend it to those that perfer a more simplified and fun game. I mention this because Deus Ex was, IMO, a big old pain in the ass. ie a FPS with **** shooting, redundant hacking(i think you might have to hack to take a **** in the game) and the out of place and ridiculous boss battles. Syndicate seems to take all of this and simplify it with the Dart 6 chip implanted in your brain. There is hacking but with less complication and frustration, shooting that is solid, and the boss battles seem appropriate to the game play style. This game also has lots of style and colors which adds to that cyberpunk feel, which I have been longing for in a game for a while. Color is good. I never played the original game that this is based off(RTS)---I think this game still holds lots of strategy elements and levels can be played the way you want to play them, either upclose and person, or with strategic use of Dart6 and distance weapons. The real selling point, which I was sold on by the demo, was the co-op missions, 4 people doing missions together, helping each other out to heal, reboot, etc. The weapon upgrading system is quite in depth, or comparable to that of say BF3--though don't forget to queue up your weapon upgrades or skill upgrades--or else you are playin for nothing. Also there is a skill tree and ability upgrades that require tokens/experience points in order to upgrade. So fairly in depth. Also the bosses in coop need and require you to work together with your team--whether there is 1 or 4. I would recommend those people that enjoy games that require you to work together with people. Also there are about 12 coop missions now, but I have heard that the devs are planning to release more content on the 1st and 15th each month. The missions are located on a world map in the coop menus, and only a small portion of the map is filled in right **** hope is that the missions keep stacking up to cover the world map. We'll see. Enjoy. It's definitely a fun FPS.

Casual players need not apply, nor buy this game. If you are looking for a rough game that requires dedication and perseverance--this may be a game for you. I found the visuals quite attractive and that they worked well with the 3D without any framerate issues. The story is fairly forgettable, but that's kind of how shinobi has been raised over the years. The difficulty comes in both quick reflexes as well as memory--you will need to play levels multiple times in order to beat them. You will also need to learn the buttons quite well in order to have the reflexes timed just right and practice practice practice. Even on the easy difficulty this game will still challenge you. 2 issues that I have found that I am a bit frustrated and disappointed in are: --Cutscenes are not in 3D--for whatever reason all the game play is in 3D but where most games shine in 3D is the cutscenes and this one basically tossed them aside for your usual 2D comic cutscenes. --StreetPass challenges---these things are for those that are really looking for a challenge. Good luck finding anyone to test your best completion times and score--you probably won't find many people that even bother completeing them as they are just tough as nails. I have not completed the game yet, but plan to do so when I have some time to really spend with it. This is not a game you can recommend to everyone--but if you want to be a virtual ninja master--this game will test your skills.

I was really trying to love this game--but some of the design choices go against the whole idea of fun---I think the atmosphere and mechanics are great---but for being a 1st/3rd person shooter the shooting isn't very good---ammo seems to be hard to come by---enemies seem to have plenty of ammo while you are stuck with the left overs---and sometimes they don't even have any ammo---the bosses are ridiculously hard--and seem to just run at you--which the same thing could be said for the generic enemies---if you alert anyone they just run at you and shoot the **** out of you--there's really no chance to "shoot" in this FPS-- There are lots of things I like in this game--but there is way more that I dislike---also the repeated restarts at checkpoints bother me most---if I can't play through a level without having to "load from checkpoint" an obscene amount of time--there are definitely issues-- this is definitely a game that will make you rage quit.

Wow--I can't believe this game is rated so poorly--yea its not the greatest game--but it's also much better tan some of the game out there-- I've played through about half of it so far and the story is actually interesting for once in a FPS--although there are some mechanics issues--they aren't really that terrible---you get the occasions screen tears and glitching but what game hasn't come out in the last year that hasn't had issues upon release--It has some interesting things happening in it and so far am quite intrigued and entertained by it. As for the graphics--I noticed that was a key issue with many of the reviews---well sirs and madams it ain't that bad--I've seen some games that are much worse and have gotten much better reviews so I'm not sure what the big deal is. My only real bothersome issue with this game is the gun accuracy--outside of that---I think its a pretty decent--enjoyable game---with an entertaining story.. And the fact that you can play the game as all 3 characters and online coop with 2 other people is pretty cool.

I'm not sure why this game is rated so incredibley. Yes there are some great things going on--but it seems pieced together in a way that doesn't make **** best way a friend put it is this---LA **** SNORE...I have been trying and trying to get into this game but the interest is slow--the clue searching thrown together...just walk around and wait for your controller to **** lead role is bi-polar--and you never know how truth, lie or doubt are goin to turn out--there is some great tech behind the facial **** the open world is **** the implementation of either of them is poor. There is no need for the open **** when you read their faces you can doubt them or tell that they are lying but it has no effect because Cole Phelps is probably just going to flip out in a roid rage. I really really want to/wanted to like the **** it's boring compared to many other games...yeah you have the occasional shoot out...yeah you can drive wherever---but they should have just made this a linear game...dropped the open **** really told a real story. I know rockstar loves their open **** in this case it just doesnt feel right. PS they spent so much time on facial features that they forgot to spend some time of the rest of the **** like real heads on plastic/unreal bodies. I will give it another **** I'm not sure I am going to solve all the cases....I may just be sleeping"...SNoooiiiree"

First off, this game is wonderful. When I first got the game I played all single player because PSN was down. I had a blast. The game mechanics are absolutely incredible, and the use of parkour is such an incredible thing to have in a FPS. It is something that I have always wanted in a game--the ability to climb that ledge or jump over that box that most FPS just won't let you do--they were once impassable mountains and now they are just another obstacle to leap and bound over. The challenges is where I started--and they definitely help you to learn the mechanics and learn how to play with what the game is offered. This game is all about movement. Shooting is necessary, but it doesn't feel like the only thing in the game. I think this is my major heat with other FPS--you just shoot and it ends up getting old. Team oriented gameplay is what I look for in games. And I can't praise this game enough for making it a requirement to work as a team. You can not just run and gun in this game--there are no Rambos allowed in this **** will be plowed over. You need your team to guard, complete objectives, buff your health, buff your guns, and buff just about anything to keep you alive and kicking to take out more enemies and give you sufficient time to hack/fix/bomb/guard your objectives. Its great fun. I give this game a 9 because I don't think many have given it a fair score. Yes, there are a few issues with the game...mainly Poor AI on your **** great AI on the opposing team. Meaning your Bots **** while the opposing Bots are incredible. Also, there have been some lag issues while playing on line--but i blame this on my connection and PSN just coming back online--PSN is extremely busy right now with dishing out updates and a mass flood of people getting back online. But to be fair to SplashDamage...they have been ****...EXTREMELY active in providing updates/feedback/patches/and information relating to online issues--which enthuses me--because I know they are in this game for the long haul. They want the game to be better--and they are addressing the issues that fans bring up. Not to mention they are providing a free DLC with new maps and new content in June. I would recommend this game to individuals that enjoy team based games. This is not just a run and gun Rambo game--its not about how many kills you **** how many **** about working together to complete the objectives---and using your XP to better your character skills and attributes--in order to help out in completing those objectives the best you can. Love the game.....Haters will be haters--and anyone that gives this game a 0 is over reacting---hell anything below a 6 is overreacting and just hoping to skew the review score.

First off, I will say I like a lot if this game--but there are portions of this castlevania where the frustration of knowing what you need to do and the actions of the character not doing them that will make you want to throw your remote straight through your TV. The visuals are incredible, the puzzles are interesting though sometimes you are left with little to no direction on how to even get started, the platforming and camera work are well **** its the gameplay that I am really mixed feeling about--some of the actions in the game are almost impossible to pull off when you want to---particular example--you need to kill this robot scorpion and the only way to kill is it to wait until it gets under this electrical charge station---then use "landslide punch" which means you jump and use a power punch to come down and hit a particular switch---but the thing that is most frustrating about this is that Gabriel auto targets the scorpion so even it if you are aimed at the switch on the floor while standing then in mid air--as soon as you start your **** changes directions to aim at the scorpion---so it makes this not so difficult action into a big old headache---but there are various things like this that just make the game so frustrating to make you not even want to continue playing---at least for a time---overall its a good game---but it has to be one of the most frustrating games I've played in the last few years because of this disconnect between what you want your character to do and what actually occurs on screen---

Haters will hate is all I have to say about a majority of reviews I have seen. I started playing the game last night and couldn't get enough--played for a good 5 hours straight. Finally we know something about Samus other than that she is a bounty hunter. This is probably one of the more intriguing titles I've picked up in a while. While its a bit more linear than some of the Metroid games, its a warm welcome--some times in prime I would step a way for a few days and come back and be completely lost and have no idea where I needed to go. As for the many complaints about the way the controls are--well its quite similar to the older metroid games--you got shoot, jump, directional--as well as some innovative first person shooting--sometimes not responsive(generally because you are not pointing at the sensor bar) but other than that fairly flawless. Others also mentioned that the loss/gaining of samus powers is ludacris. To tell the truth, this is the one where it actually makes sense. Every other metroid game, you land and then lose your powers--or they disappear--you imply that you need to gain your powers back---theres really no reason why you shouldnt have all the powers...this makes sense because they are in with a military group on a federation space ship and they are allowing clearances for certain weapons/armor for required moments--this is explained and it makes sense. The action is fast paced and it definitely does a great job at making a 2.5D shooter fun, challenging as well as accessible. The only reason the controls seem cluncky for a bit is because you have never played like this--and I find this to be a great feeling---its like starting over to rethink the way I use a controller--Team Ninja and Nintendo did a great job at making the controls intuitive yet new and refreshing--and its a classic nintendo set up---what else could we ask for. The levels are interesting--the graphics are incredible(for the Wii)--the transitions are fairly flawless---only a couple extremely short loading screens between major sections--the boss battles seem very reminiscent/nostolgic but also fresh with the implementation of 2.5D and 1st person shooting--(this game keeps your hands busy) As for those individuals that say the search/identifying is too much like pixel search--must be idiots--if you are looking for clues are you going to be looking for the **** the out of place items....i have no other comments--its really not that hard. The cut scenes are well done and they really add to the experience and story of samus--a welcome addition--and the length is just fine with me--most of the time I was wanting more. There are some times when items are a bit difficult to find--and morph ball entrances can be some what difficult to find--generally for upgrades---but come on--how much more do you want Ninja and Ninty to hold your hand--it always gets me with people--they are super hypocritical--they want hand holding in some spots but not others. Over all I give this game a 10 for a great new way/nostalgic way to play as Samus Aran---I would love to see another one like this--I would welcome it generously. Thank you Team Ninja and Nintendo for a great experience and you have created a new classic.

I'm not quite sure why this game has recieved such ill reviews. I had preorded the game, but because of shipping choices, recieved it just yesterday--I was all bummed out because of how it was getting beat on. So I haven't completed single player yet, but I am all a go for this game. The story is some what thin, but still intriquing and pushing you to want more. Its a story of misdeeds, misundertanding and revenge at this point, and thats real cool with me. The characters communicate throughout, which is quite entertaining--opposed to the mute characters of most games--the difficulty slowly increases to push you more--AI can be a bit **** sometimes--but that happens all games--but the thing that makes me most intriqued about the game is the incredible art style-the shaky camera--the fuzzed out explicit images--the color schemes--the non-impenetrable cover(breakable/weak cover), the knockdown before death--and the gun powers and aiming--some guns are stronger than **** aiming is perfect--some guns you get a hairpin aim others are a bit messy--kinda like real guns... Although it has all these cool things included--I could see how its not something for everyone. And as for shooting it doesn't do anything for innovation---but what games have? Individuals will point to Gears--but I didn't find much differnce in game play between this and Gears--its a shooter--its got cover--(only disappointment is that there is no Mele attack) which for the purpose of the game doesnt make sense--though you can use someone as a sheild and execute or throw them--which is mele to some extent. It just makes the way you play a bit different--long distance and a bit of sneaking Overall I give the game a 9--it doesnt deserve the crap that reviewers have given--it goes far ahead of many games out there that have recieved better scores--and the sheer look of the game pushes it into a whole new range of game quality. Its distrubing to see so many gamers and reviewers **** on a game just because it doesnt fit the norm- -PSS--The game is gritty as **** awesome.
