Things that are good: Combat, Enviroment graphics, Optimization. Things that are bad: Character models, the writing, the writing, the writing. Oh yeah didI mention the writing is terrible? If this wasn't a Dragon Age game I would have rated this much higher, because I wouldn't have the same high standard to writing as previous games and the combat in this game is REALLY fun! In a Dragon Age game I just really want great interactions between characters and much more violence and surprises! The writing is really lower than mid and that is what is making this game just above average in general.
I am currently 19 hours into this game and I am hooked. I am invested in the story and really curious to what is going on with the alms. I am constantly hunting for chests, grizzly sirup and elements for leveling up the classes. I think it's neat they show on the map where points of interest are, so you don't run around for no apparant reason. The game is also beautiful to look at, I really love the art style. Minor gripes:
I don't think the ring menu is very responsive. If i run around or attack it will not queu up what I have chosen in the ring menu or cast it immediately.
It would be nice if grass and plants moved a bit when you move through it, as of now it's just static. (Very minor gripe, but I always wonder why they couldn't make it like in BOTW atleast.)
For now combat can feel a bit repetitive, where i spam the same 2-4 moves, but I think that might change later. The last time I thought about a game this much was when Baldur's Gate 3 released, so I have to give it atleast 9/10
I just couldn't get into it. I fell asleep while playing yesterday and ended up just uninstalling. The story is mediocre and the gameplay is exactly the same thing as the two previous games...
I really wish there was more voice acting and i hate thefact that you are unable to move the dialogue window from the bottom of the screen because I have to look down to read the massive amounts of text. The storyis great though and love the combat, but I just can't give it more than 6 if I am unable to atleast move the dialogue window.
After 6 hours of gaming Baldur's gate 3 after launch I actually shed a tear because I was so happy about how good the game is. I thought I would hate turn based combat vs. real time with pause, but it really is fine, although a bit tough to get the hang of. I highly recommend this game.
This is an absolute masterpiece. Great story, great gameplay and I am enjoying the endgame so far. The scaling is great, because I can still enjoy the game with low level friends without melting everything in their path. 10/10 would slay Lilith again
I love this game! I have spent 40 hours in TOTK and I have only completed the first temple. Things that are better than BOTW: Better load times, WAY bigger map(s), less stuttering (The 30fps are pretty consistent), much more options in combat and exploration due to the new abilities. More unique monsters and optional boss fights.
PLEASE FIX THIS GAME! I am a huge fan of the original, but something is definetly off about this version. You can't use invincibility powerup under water. The hit boxes are off in the new look especially the **** will kill you without hitting you. In the levels with tall grass everything should be elevated half a block. The controls are way more tight in cclassic mode. So many things are wrong with this version and I just want to play the original more when i play this.
Please fix it.
I was afraid the controls would be horrible, but after an hour I got used to the controls and they actually work quite well. I never finished Baldurs Gate on PC, but I just might have the time to delve into it now as it is portable. I hope online play will be available in the future. Until then I'll give it 8/10
