A slow-burn game, which in my opinion it's closer to a point-n-click adventure rather than a RPG. It's very "hipster": amazing in terms of narrative, with great design/art., but the idea of playing an amnesiac drunk detective in a very grime world wasn't too exciting. The core gameplay of developing and interacting with your own sides of personality is very interesting and gets better as you progress through the game. On the other hand, the dialogs are often way too heavy: especially in the beginning you are bombarded with lore and super long conversations with NPC's ... at least the more you play and get involved with the story, the better this become. pros: - great narrative, will keep you interested once things get started - amazing art style and User Interface - Character customization & development through your mind/body traits is super cool cons: - dialogs can be a bit overwhelming: there's way too much lore and walls of text. They could have cut down a bit on this and kept the game more dynamic. - settings are very dark/negative: you play as a drunk detective with amnesic problems. There's some much potential to create a similar game but with a more interesting setting. - I personally found the music pretty bad.

Game's not bad, but too much enphasis on the puzzles, which some times can be unnerving.. The story and atmosphere are pretty crazy though. I preferred other titles like Limbo or Inside

Game is good. Art style is really nice and the story is intriguing. Scary at times, the game gives you some creepy feelings especially in the first part of the story. The characters are a chore though.. they are a bunch of dumb teenagers.. just wanted to slap all of them most times. Maybe just cuz I'm not 16 anymore, but I would have liked something a bit more mature. Worth playing

Tyranny8

Tyranny is a solid isometric RPG, which is easily comparable to Pillars of Eternity. The game has the usual isometric and slightly outdated graphics. The settings remind of the Age of Bronze era. There is very little "fantasy" in the game, as most enemies are humans, with few exceptions. Forget about dragons and elves.. but still pretty captivating as it's not a common atmosphere in RPG games. The choices you make through the game totally change the outcome of your playthrough, making it very personalized. I must say the factions reputations system works very good: you are always aware of the effects of your choices and you can keep track of your reputations against any group or companion in the game. I believe the story is very good and it's not true you are the "evil" character, as you can take very "good person" choices to mould your story. It's just that you are in a war, therefore there won't be easy situations to solve.. The combat is fun, they added combos with your party members, but it has less skills compared to PoE. Also keeping only 4 people in the party can be a bit limiting in terms of strategy. Overall I would say PoE combat was better. What dragged me down a bit was the companions: the dialogues with them are very limited because you basically have the same round of questions for each of them, with no real personalization. Also no side quests for companions... As I said, the game is very solid and, despite the abrupt ending, I must say it's one of the top games released in 2016

Owlboy7

Owlboy is a nice little game. It has a good story, focused on friendship and simple genuine values. It will make you smile and sometimes get a little emotional. The music is very good, almost one of the best sides of the game. The game itself is rather simple, gameplay wise there isn't really much to praise, it doesn't have any personalization/rpg elements that, in my opinion, would have greatly improved the game. The graphics are for nostalgic pixel lovers. Honestly I think they are terrible, there is nothing attractive there and are purposely forced to look like a game from 30 years ago. There are better indie (and non indie) platform games that managed to create awesome graphics (Inside, Limbo, Ori and the B.F., Child of Light, etc.) on a 2D gameplay. For me not really worth the price.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain6

Wow this game is so weird. The gameplay is really good, a 9/10 score: you can choose what missions to do, both main and side ops (similar to rpgs), it has a lot of customization of weapons and mother base. From this point of view the game does not lack anything and is really fun to play. The story is atrocious: the game starts with really good cutscenes and suspence, then it pushes you in the open world with all these missions. I waited for the story to kick in but it never happened. Most of the "main" missions are like side quests.. very little is told and most of the story is recorded in audio cassettes, which are terrible to listen.. Just after half of the game, the chapter 1 ends and that's basically the end of the game. What you are left with is a few missions that try to explain what happens after, but they are really boring because the main goal of the game has already been achieved. The sexism in this game is crazy, I think Kojima has serious issues.. there are basically no women in the game with an active role. Quiet, on top of the non-clothing, does not speak, is held in a cage, and treated same as your dog or horse.. a buddy. Other women are always half naked (even the f....n enemies!!) and the camera zooms on their curves all the time.. WTF!. Can't believe in 2016 these games are getting 10/10 scores..

This game is a great experience. Started playing and finished in 2 days, just wanted to play it!! It does everything in an amazing way. I'm only a bit disappointed it's so short. I would have given it a 9 or 10 if it was a bit longer..

Grim Dawn6

This is a game for arpgs hardcore fans, not for a 2016 gamer customer base. The graphics and UI are ridicolous... gameplay is not fun, ending with spamming the same skill over and over. The game offers you a huge freedom of builds, with dual classes and devotion system, which is good for who loves to spend hours and hours trying to see how to get the best DPS. Diablo3 even with all its flaws, is a game from 2012 with better graphics, immersion and a gameplay that totally destroys grim dawn. I don't care if this is an "Indie" game with 8 programmers, u gotta compare apples with apples: this is a game, so let's judge it for what it is. If u are an average gamer, there are tons of games better than this, especially in 2016. If u love arpgs and going crazy deep with all the calculations and builds, then I guess this is the game for you. Really regret having spent 30 USD for this game...

The Banner Saga5

This game does not have tactical combat: even if the enemies are 100 and your party is 4, you will still get one turn each (one you, one the enemy). The combat solely goes around looking what enemy will move next in the turns and make him weaker, until u have all enemies with 0 health. If u kill enemies first, then is bad for you... This is zero tactical, zero logical gameplay. If you're fine with this, then go ahead and try to enjoy some nice music, "artstyle" and story.

CoL is an amazing game. Graphics are truly beautiful and unique. Turn based gameplay is fun and actually much deeper than I thought. Characters builds and gem crafting are fun and rewarding. World is 2d but exploration is not lacking. The quests are also very nice and I like the lack of guidelines on how where to find the objectives and such. Played the whole game without any hesitation or boredom. Would have been a 10 if only a bit longer/bigger game. Great.

Bastion is a nice little game, but not as good as many of the other reviews mention. The gameplay is pretty bland, story is ok, never really inspired me. Graphics are bad in my opinion. It can be fun, but I played lots of games much better than this one. Not sure if playing this game in 2016 is making me biased, but I can't see anything special in it.

B&W is an amazing DLC for one of the best games in history. Beauclair the new area is huge, game mechanics and interface have been slightly refined. Great story.. and it's amazing to find key characters that accompanied Geralt in all the books. If you have read all the books and played all the games, B&W will make you a bit sad, since it brings a true ending to the Witcher saga. A few annoying things are still in the game, like clunky horse controls, some bugs and game difficulty non being challenging in the right way. Besided that, it's a masterpiece and must have.

Dark Souls III9

Playing Dark Souls 3 has been a pleasant experience. Everything is improved compared to the previous DS games, the graphics are pretty cool and the areas are nice. Having finished all games in the series (except for Bloodborne), I found it smooth and enjoyable, with less annoying areas than the predecessors. The world design is pretty good, but seems a bit linear. There are connections and shortcuts throughout the game, but the path is still one and you gotta follow it to progress through the game. The ability to teleport from each bonfire is also a proof of the linearity, since it would take ages to move from an area to the other, just by running. In the end, it feels like there isn't much difference from previous DS games, the core mechanics are the same, same atmosphere, lack of storyline/lore (mostly hidden in items descriptions). This makes me think: now that I finished it, will I remember any of this game in a few months time...? or will the only great memories from this series be always linked to DS1?

One of the best games I ever played (if not the best one). I come from reading the books and playing the previous 2 games, so this one had a particular importance for me. It didn't disappoint me at all and gave a deserved ending to this great story. I feel very empty now that I finished it! - The story is great, reconnecting so much with the books. It keeps you involved from beginning to end. - Graphics are crazy and detailed in every way. - Sound track? no words, these songs are still playing in my head!! - Gameplay is very solid and combat is really fun! - World is really huge and there is so much exploration.. Don't know what else to say. They made a masterpiece. I clocked at around 120 hours, finished all quests and left out only the "?" in the sea of Skellige. Negative sides? Personally just 2: - Controls sometimes are a bit clunky (horse controls, cliffs, etc.) - I guess this is the price to pay for making an Open world game for the 1st time CD Project - World is very grim and dark, maybe a bit too much? To conclude: it's a must have. I'll jump straight into the DLC!

Amazing game! A true RPG, incredible story, great combat, really good immersion and a lot of exploration. So many good sides.. I haven't given a 10 because of a few small issues, like slightly outdated graphics and overall interface is not that fresh. Good work Obsidian. Totally recommend it.

Dragon Age: Inquisition8

DA:I is a great game, that still is affected by some big flaws. I played this game few months after release, the patches had already fixed many problems. The graphics are gorgeous, the world is huge and the devs have polished every single details. I played the whole game to completion, clocked in around 100 hours, finishing basically everything. Played on nightmare, so the combat was pretty fun. 90% of times in tactical camera. In short: this game is huge but lacks of depth. I started getting bored after around 50/60 hours. The main story is not that great and the side quests are not that special. The main problem is that everything is not so merged. I had this feeling of not continuity, where I was exploring places totally disconnected from the main story, but without a real goal. It's just exploration and it gets repetitive as every area has the same format (camps, rifts, etc.). I had hard times feeling part ****: the mages, or the elves, I could never really immerge myself in the world they created. I can't give it a bad score, because as I said the game is huge and detailed and very good, but still it's not what I hoped. I guess you can't make a wonderful game like DA:O that easily and both the 2nd and the 3rd dragon age fail to be as good as the 1st was.
