Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville is a game that I wanted to like but I just didn't. In fact, I just deleted it off my PS4 this past Saturday. This game doesn't know if it wants to be Overwatch or a Garden Warfare successor. While GW1 and GW2 were very fun to play, playing BFN feels like a chore because the game is awfully unbalanced; some characters **** while others are too overpowered. For example, the Scientist can absolutely destroy an entire team while the 80s Action Hero is useless. Also, the maps in this game are disjointed without any proper flow, and, worst of all, this game removed the beloved character variants in favor of an upgrade system. The flaws with this game do not end with the multiplayer as the single-player portion is pointless, mind-numbingly boring fetch quests. I completed the mission where I was tasked with defeated Baron von Batz and then I just decided to quit. The only saving graces of this game is that it has a sprint button, allowing you to get back into the game quicker, and the hub world is nice and fun to explore. However, this doesn't save BFN from its unbalanced multiplayer, flawed story mode and overall lack of significant Garden Warfare features. If you want to have a better time, I'd recommend playing GW2 instead. Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville was nothing but a massive disappointment.
An average game at launch and still a very average game that can't fix its problems despite its new additions. The Sims 4 is a majorly disappointing sequel to the great previous titles. While all previous games in The Sims franchise improved the gameplay, this game takes a major step back. First, it gets rid of the open world and Create-A-Style present in The Sims 3. Second, the game was missing a ton of content at launch including pools and toddlers which is all content that should be in the base game. Despite the launch, this game in The Sims franchise has to have the worst DLC, the game is oversaturated with stuff packs and most of the other packs, expansion and game packs, don't add much noteworthy to the game either. Even though the updates have added necessary content, there is some additions that have annoyed me during gameplay: mostly the monster under the bed and death notifications. Fortunately, this game does make building easier, but it also isn't clear on how to place foundations on your household, something very easy to do in The Sims 3. Also, the Create-A-Sim mode has improved greatly and the emotions system, although too easily manipulated, is a great addition. Although the game is much better since its launch, The Sims 4 still has to be the worst game in the franchise. At this point, I'm ready to move on from this game and I'll instead play the previous versions as they were more fun, had more content, improved on the gameplay with expansions and don't annoy me with unnecessary gameplay additions from new updates. The Sims is one of my favorite video game franchises and it's very unfortunate that this game in The Sims franchise is a major disappointment.
Great sequel that improves on the Tony Hawk franchise. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a great game! The game is very fun to play with a fantastic career mode that is very fun to play. The levels in this game are awesome and well designed. Also, the soundtrack is fantastic and one of my favorites in the franchise. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a great sequel.
Just reinstalled this game on my computer via Origin and it's an absolute blast to play. SimCity 4 is a fantastic city building game! The game is addictive and has a sense of challenge. Playing and managing new cities is incredibly fun and all the features this game offers is mind blowing. Also this game allows you to connect cities with other cities to create regions which is just amazing. Even though I had this game on Origin uninstalled for years, I have been enjoyed it ever since I installed it to my computer. Also, I'm surprised that the Deluxe Edition on Origin runs well on modern computers. SimCity 4 is very addictive and the game is an absolute blast to play!
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is a fantastic game! This game is very fun to play with an awesome career mode and the addition of the Revert. The Revert allows the players to perform massive combos which has became a staple of the series. Levels are once again very well designed. Also, the soundtrack is great with some very iconic tracks. As the first Tony Hawk game I owned, besides the terrible Pro Skater 5, I was very impressed by how great these games once were and I played it for a while. Now, revisiting this game is a lot of fun. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is a fantastic sequel!
One of my favorites in the Tony Hawk series! This game is amazing! Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 improved the gameplay from the previous installments and made it even better. Instead of the 2-minute classic mode timer, this game allows the player to explore the levels open ended which makes the gameplay even better, and there's more goals this time. Levels in this game are very well designed with several great places for massive combos. Also, this was the first game to have the inclusion of the Spine Transfer and a freestyle trick system. This game also has a fantastic soundtrack and it's personally my favorite soundtrack in the Tony Hawk series. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 is an amazing game and one of the best in the Tony Hawk series!
My personal favorite in the Tony Hawk series! Tony Hawk's Underground has to be the best in the series with a fantastic career mode, fun gameplay, well designed levels, a great soundtrack, and several great customization options. The career mode follows your character starting from the underground and becoming a pro skateboarder. Also, this was the first game in the series that allowed your player to get off their board which is a very necessary refinement. The levels in this game are very well designed and flow perfectly together for massive combos. However, one of the best parts of this game has to be the customization options. There are several including Create-A-Park, Create-A-Skater, Create-A-Trick and even Create-A-Goal. This game allows so much control to the player that it makes the game very fun and awesome. Tony Hawk's Underground easily has to be the best in the Tony Hawk series.
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland is easily one of the best in the series! This game is so much fun to play with a great story mode and several necessary refinements to the gameplay. The design of the game looks fantastic with various levels from Hollywood. Also, the soundtrack in this game is fantastic with several iconic bands and several original recordings of punk rock covers exclusively made for the game. There is even a BMX mode which is different from skateboarding but still awesome. I cannot understand why this game got lower scores, but it's likely from the open world being misleading. However, this is not an issue for me as a Tony Hawk fan. As a Tony Hawk video game fan, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland will always be one of my favorites in the series.
Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the best superhero games ever made and one of the best PS4 games! The graphics are fantastic, the game controls very well, the combat is engaging and the story is great. Special thanks to Insomniac for making this amazing PS4 exclusive.
I always messed with this game as a child and it was a lot of fun. Creating creatures by using several parts was satisfying and interacting with the creatures was always a blast. Recording videos and posting them to YouTube was also very fun. Spore Creature Creator was computer software that I loved to play with in my childhood.
This is an amazing game and the best way to celebrate Mario's 30th anniversary! Super Mario Maker is a fantastic Wii U game allowing players to create their own Mario courses with four different themes, and several different items and enemies from the entire series. The level design has a very simple to learn interface that allows players to create courses and share them to the world via Course World. Playing other people's courses online from the course world is very fun with courses that span from easy to very difficult. There's also 100 Mario Challenge for players to play other people's courses and earn rewards. Simply this has to be one of the best games for the Wii U with heavy replay value and lots of content. Super Mario Maker is a perfect creation kit with years of Super Mario history in one game. For Wii U owners, you should definitely get this game. It's not only a fantastic game, but it's a perfect celebration of Super Mario.

Sonic Mania Plus is an amazing return to form for Sonic the Hedgehog with even more content than the digital release. The physical release is a great package that is definitely worth the money and it includes an art book. This game is perfect for classic Sonic fans as the levels are very well designed, the gameplay feels as great as it did over 25 years ago, and the soundtrack is excellent. Special thanks to the Sonic fans that developed this fantastic Sonic game.
As the first game I played on my Xbox One, this was a terrible start to the console! Glitches, bugs, bad level design, outdated graphics, limited content - this game is a childhood killer. A few months after playing this game, I went back and played the PS2 titles, and I eventually owned all the games Neversoft developed. Even at their weakest point, the games were way better than this awful title. Please stay away from this game!
My PS3 review has the long story behind me and this game, but I've played the Xbox 360 version of this game much later. All I can say is that It's as good as the version I played as a kid, bringing back so many great childhood memories. This game is very addictive, it has so much content to unlock, great characters that all have unique abilities, and a wide variety of very fun maps. For someone who prefers single-player games, this has to be one of the most fun online multiplayers games I have ever played, and, unlike most shooters, this game can be played with kids. I recommend getting this game if you could find it for cheap, or even get the sequel on PS4 or Xbox One.
Back in 2014, I desperately wanted this game because it looked like a very fun shooter games and it was kid-friendly. Unfortunately, I traded in my PS3 in April 2014 for a Wii U, meaning that I had no console to play this game, and this was before the announcement of the PS4 and PS3 versions of this game. Also, our PC version of the game did not work on our computer. When I saw the announcement that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was coming to PS4 and PS3 in August 2014, I instantly regretted my decision of trading in the PS3, and I then asked for a PS3 again for Christmas in 2014. When Christmas came, I was finally excited to be able to play Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare on PS3. Unfortunately, the servers were hacked, but I was able to play it a few days later. At this time, I consistently played the game until I stopped playing the game which later resulted in the PS3 being traded in again in October 2015. Now, after that incredibly long backstory, that I have played the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. I can say that it is quite a fun multiplayer game. This game has fun characters, all with unique abilities, tons of unlockable items that can keeps players coming back for a while, and a wide variety of maps. This is a fun game that can keep me coming back for a long time to keep playing and unlocking more items for the characters. I recommend to get this game, or even the sequel because it's also a great game that has more fun characters. As someone who prefers single-player games, I am impressed by how fun this game was to play, and I recommend this game to kids and anyone who likes online multiplayer shooters.
Easily one of the best skateboarding games ever made, this game is very accessible to gamers and skateboarding fans alike. Skate 3 is an amazing game that got me into playing more skateboarding games. The Career mode is easy and fun with several great challenges and contests. This game has great online features that - when they work properly - are very fun to play, and this game gives you the ability to create and share skate parks. In this game, the maps are always fun to play and it feels great to skate around the game's world. Also, Hall of Meat makes a return with full body control, leading to hilarious and fun bails that make breaking bones fun. Furthermore, this game also has glitches that are very fun to perform. This has to be one of my all time favorite games, and I highly recommend it to gamers and skateboarders that want to have a fun time.
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a major disappointment and by far the worst game in the series! There are a few positives like the video editor and soundtrack, but they are all overshadowed by the game's abundance of flaws. This game has way too many new gameplay features that are either useless or completely shoehorned into the game. However, the worst part has to be the poor mission structure. This ruins the entire game! Several of the missions were either ridiculously frustrating or the directions never made sense. After a few times playing this game, I never came back after a while and that's because it's a bad game. I can tell that it was going to be bad from the start with EA Skate coming out the same year, and Neversoft was also developing the excellent rhythm game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock which also came out the same year. Please just skip this game! There are much better skateboarding games and the previous games in the Tony Hawk series were way better and much more fun than this game.
As a first attempt at a brand new engine, Tony Hawk's Project 8 delivers a pretty good game. The world in this game is very fun to skate around, the Nail the Trick mode adds to the game, the challenges are mostly fun with a large variety, and the career is great. It also starred Jason Lee who was later featured in Skate 3. Unfortunately, there are a few flaws with this game that does not make it my favorite in the series. First, the bail system is awful. The hospital bill has bad controls and its very frustrating. It's like a worse version of the Hall of Meat in the EA Skate series. Second, the Sick challenges are ridiculously difficult that I question if the developers tested the goals. Finally, this games takes out a lot of customization from previous installments including less features the Create-A-Skater, no Create-A-Park, and several other creation features are absent. Despite the flaws, Tony Hawk's Project 8 is still a pretty good Tony Hawk game.
Don't play this game! It's the absolute worst game in the NBA 2K series! This game has so much VC purchases in MyCareer and MyTeam that it makes the game unplayable without paying real world money. Also, it doesn't help because you literally have to pay for EVERYTHING in the MyCareer mode including shoes, clothes, haircuts, tattoos, etc. However, the game forcing you to pay expensive VC prices for stats is the worst as there is artificially high level players throughout the entire mode. This game was a rushed out, poorly designed disaster of an NBA 2K game! Please play previous NBA 2K titles and never touch this terrible game!
Sonic Generations is one of my favorite Sonic games of all time! It perfectly mixes Classic Sonic with Modern Sonic to create a very fun game. This game has excellent 2D side scroller levels for Classic Sonic, and amazing 2.5D and 3D gameplay for Modern Sonic that is fast with great platforming. The levels in this game also look great with modern versions of classic levels. It also sounds great with remixed classic tunes. This game is awesome! I am so happy that I bought this game! It's an amazing video game that reflects perfectly on Sonic's past!
