When I played the open Beta I was surprised at how fresh the gameplay was. The last couple of years have been over crowded with COD clones and every developer seems to be copying COD. For what its worth Modern Warfare 1 was the best in my honest opinion. Anyway back to Rainbow Six. I played the original games on PC years ago and this was a pleasant surprise. Though it doesn't have single player elements to it, its all multiplayer. In my books thats not good. You need to be able to play a story mode. there has to be more to each level than just attacking and protecting, even if there was just a cut scene that you can watch. At first the games design is all based around attacking and defending, then unlocks, each particular attacker and defender have certain abilities. All the content that people complain about not being there is in fact there in the form of cutscenes for each character that you unlock. And well the 11 maps and then thats it. But the gameplay is very good. So good you will come back to it again and again. They say future updates will release more maps and characters to unlock, which in turn will just increase the longevity. Thats is true . Bit I can't help feeling disappointed towards the lack of single player missions. Even the single player situations for some reason don't run at the same frames per second in multiplayer than it does in the single player missions. Leaving controls and movement feeling laggy. Plus the AI is atrocious. Its just shoot the moving target and so on. No fun there. Anyway all in all, this game is fun for the basic element that it focuses on. The graphics are good when you are playing multiplayer and most importantly if you have a team that communicates its worth the purchase. Because each round will last a lot long if you work together rather than going lone soldier. 8/10

When this games was announced back whenever, I was pretty excited to say the least. Considering I pumped many hours into the first 2 games it was only natural for me to feel excited for this game. When I played the Beta there a few months ago I was shocked to see how many corners they cut and to see Hoth redesigned for the games sake I was extremely worried. I suddenly canceled my pre-order and rented Battlefront 3 as soon as it was available and I was heart broken. One of my favourite games of all time had been bought over and sabotaged into a gorgeous looking lacklustre game. All the detail from the previous games had been lost and now we are left with this shambolic load of crap. Another title streamlined for the next generation of gamers, gamers who never played the originals and gamers who would literally throw money at whatever the next title comes out for their beloved console. This game is quite literally a big F U to all the fans of the original games. At the end of the day its not what the fans want but the investors of the company! That is the god honest truth. Until we stop buying their crap they will listen, if we don;t then they are king and they the investors will be feeding us less and less as the years roll by. The good old days of computers games are all over. This here is proof!

This game is the reason why I still play games. Ever since owning Super Mario on the NES right up to the current PS4 I have now bought present days best game! Fallout 4. After spending hours upon hours just exploring the heavily detailed world I feel I have only scratched the surface of what is out there. So far I have gotten my monies worth. Thats something most games these days fail to provide, monies worth! Every game these days has been spoiled with DLC and cut up storyline you are pretty much forced into purchasing the DLC if you want to continue the story or simply to add a few more maps to the already paltry map selection. Fallout 4 on the other hand seems like a gift from Bethesda after all the let downs from other developers Bethesda decided to work the extra mile so that you can feel happy about your purchase once more. Apart from a few bugs and the occasional dip in fps during combat on consoles this game deserves a 9, though not perfect its still highly playable and by far the best experience I've had to owning a game on my PS4 this generation!

Another year goes by and yet another dull and boring Call of Duty game gets released more streamlined than the previous game. Soon it will just be 1 level and 1 gun and everyone will look the same. Until then I think I've just bought my last Activision game. What an absolute waste of time and money. Someone in Activision must get a kick out of releasing the same game but with less guns and game modes that the previous edition. Black Ops was the best Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare. Demolition game mode will never be played again by me unless I re-purchase a PS3 or an Xbox 360 for me and my friends. Demolition was superb! Where is it? Does Activision not want its fans to have fun anymore? Besides the new graphics and the TitanFall-esque gameplay, this is just boring. 1 good point about the Activision games, they are the ONLY ones who allow people to host private matches, something that is void on every next gen game, PS4 anyways. Activision and Bungie are dead to me and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ATTEMPT **** FROM THEM AGAIN! UNLESS THEY HIRE TALENT FOR FUTURE RELEASES.

I like my first person shooters, a lot. Every so often its nice to play a mindless shooter, but this game is just far too **** to recommend anyone to play. The graphics are like last generation. The physics are slow to respond. The voice over is just lazy and the actual old school gameplay is boring. I turned this off when I came across an exploding bicycle cart and vending machines. I felt as though you had to put time and effort into this game to see any sort of enjoyment out of it. The first 2 hours of gameplay just dragged along, by far the worst game I have played on the PS4. I'm surprised Devolver Digital had anything to do with this game. Hotline Miami is such a great game, Shadow Warrior however, is not. 2/10 for a lazy effort.

Its very rare that I get to play any strategy games considering the market is flooded with shooters and there hasn't been anything remotely interesting since Starcraft 2 ( for me ). That was a good game but got repetitive game after game, rushing at the start was the only thing to do. Building up your defences would just delay the inevitable. With Planetary Annihilation its a different story, you can either rush your opponent like in Starcraft 2 or you can build your base to the high heavens with defensive structures so that no unit ground, air or orbital unit can dare come near your portion of a planet or system. The only way to confer this strategy is to either send a volley of countless nukes, launch a planet at the specific area or simply annihilate using the so called death star. Absolute epic-ness. Te thing I love about the game is the fact you can make and game last more that 30 mins to an hour depending on your play style, not like the repetitious Starcraft where you have rush if you want to win, because turtling just doesn't work. This game for me is everything I loved about Supreme commander and more. My only gripe with this game is that there is only one design of units for all players ( except the commander ). It would be nice if they could implement a differently designed army to represent each commander. That way playing different AI or players would help differentiate who you are attacking. Some people may not understand why there is only one type of Army, and its simply to eradicate unbalancing issues. That's perfectly fine, but different skins, animations and explosions would be nice. The Single player campaign is unusual but very enjoyable as you battle out different parts of the galaxy and unlocking random tech on the go, but if you fail once you start again. I like that a lot, it keeps you on your feet. Also, I really love the ability to make your own systems. Bottom line, 9/10. Minus 1 point because there is only 1 skin or design of the army that is available, unless there will be mods or skins in the future, until then this game is a 9.

Was impressed with the Beta's co-op, but unfortunately the combat is very repetitive and linear. With the main cutscenes, the characters have all got helmets on therefore the character acting has been simplified to just voice overs. Nothing compelling to say the least. Bog standard fps affair. When Borderlands the Pre-sequel comes out it will give HaloLand, I mean Destiny a run for its money. Though if you like Halo competitive multiplayer then go for it, this game is for you. I for one, do not, I grew out of that type of gameplay after Halo 3. This game is not really next gen, the graphics just about maybe, gameplay certainly not.

I have to say I was very sceptical when I read all the negative reviews about this game, but seriously there were always going to be problems with this game, the sheer size of it down converted onto a handheld!! Anyway when I made the purchase late last night ( 30th May EU release date ) I was very pleasantly surprised they were able to squeeze this massive game onto the vita, the development team behind this endeavour deserve a round of applause. Well done! So far 3 hours int the game, its easy to point out the short falls, tiny text and map not a lot of enemies on screen at the same time, some noticeable frame drops in heavy combat, but aside from that I like the controls, their easy considering I've mastered the vita's front and rear touch pads from other great games like Killzone Mercenaries and the numerous hours with remote play on the PS4. Borderlands 2 is a joy to play, best purchase since Killzone Mercenaries, this is what i've been waiting for. I've always meant to complete Borderlands 2 a second time with a different character, now I can, but on the go! This is EPIC! Well worth €25. Blown away with the value of this game!

I bought this game because it's one of the first new wave of games to come out on next gen consoles. I thought it being a single player game only that a lot of bugs and bad game design elements would be fine tuned but I was wrong, first off it plays like an old school fps, something that I have forgotten about since the old school Medal of Honour games, this is no different, it just has shinier graphics to tell apart. Speaking of the graphics, this is not next gen, dull low res textures are rampant. As for game play everything is scripted even the atrocious A.I. This game feels a lot like the on the rails shooter that was released for the iPhone ( Rage ). There's nothing next gen about this game apart from the price €70!! WTF!!

The lag makes this pretty game unplayable. I lost money buying this and playing 1 simple game against 3 A.I. teams takes about the length of all the Lord of The Rings movies back to back because it LAGS beyond belief.

This is by far the best FPS game to grace a portable device. Everything about this game is just amazing. Unfortunately a lot of the professional reviewers keep comparing this game to its console counterpart, its a shame really because the vita is not a home console, nor does it play blu rays. Its a portable gaming system. Therefore there should not be a direct comparison at all! Anyway this game is simply masterpiece, the people involved should be given awards for their achievements. The bottom line without giving away any spoilers, if you own a Vita buy this game, if you don't it will be a sin!

I never played the original nor did I have the PS3. When I heard it was announced for the PS4 I was excited. I like my top down shooters. Anyway when it arrived I was blown away by the visuals and the sheer detail in the graphics. The co-op is probably the best yet on the PS4 console next to Reso Gun. Anyway long story short, great graphics, great gameplay, lots of great action, plenty of zombie killing and what a blast to play, 7 play through's and I'm still hooked. BUY THIS NOW!

Really enjoyed the Vita version of this great game. I was surprised at how well it plays and how smooth the frame rate is considering how many zombies can fit onto the screen at any one time. Also find it to be quite tense when there's a lot happening. One of my favourite Vita games, while writing this I've completed it 6 times so far. I've certainly gotten my monies worth! I'd recommend this to anyone who has a Vita and wants a great game to play on the go. Keep them coming!

So COD we meet again! I said to myself that Black Ops 2 was the last straw I was going to pull with CoD. Reason being, its the same game every time just a different scenario, but 1 thing that it shares from the rest of the games is the 10+ year old engine. Anyway, why did I buy Ghosts for the PS4, Killzone Shadow Fall, that's why! On the Vita Killzone Mercenaries was an absolute blast. It had the 3 best game modes for multiplayer. Free for all, team deathmatch and war zone. Great fun! Shadow fall just has team based games and NO free for all. So I traded Killzone and got what I thought was a next gen game but in fact its a last gen game that looks VERY dated. It also plays like a last gen game also. Thats not the point, I got Cod Ghosts for the basic free for all that Killzone didn't offer. With bad visuals and a constant drop in frame rates and awful map design CoD Ghosts is a shambolic waste of money and time. Its a pure example of laziness and deceitful lies from Activision. This game is getting traded in for PSN credits that will be used against the BF4 premium package. No more Activision games for me. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Probably the best online multiplayer game I have played on any console in YEARS! The graphics are true next gen and the frame rate is a solid 60 even during the most hectic battles. The one bad thing I don't like about BF4 is the lack of a squad lobby before you go searching for games. If you have a few friends who also play BF4 its hard to join the same server and be on the same team without having to navigate through the menus in search for the switch team button. This is especially more frustrating when you are playing squad deathmatch, you either join teams that only have a few openings, meaning half of your friends or on the opposing team. Its hard to have all your friends in one team and that's down to the lack of a squad setup before you go into battle. BF3 had it, and for some unknown reason EA decided to remove it. EA in my books pulled a Microsoft, if it's not broken then its worth fixing! Bottom line, if you want a true next ten title, BF4 is that game.
