Afraid of flying? Don't worry Federal Air Marshal Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) will keep you safe. This film is a great action and suspense filled movie, which makes you realize that at 20, 000 feet everyone is a suspect, even Bill Marks' partner! The film focuses on Bill Marks who is flying back to London and is feeling quite relaxed until he gets a text message from a passenger saying that if he doesn't transfer 150 million dollars into a bank account, then somebody will die every twenty minutes. And the plot thickens when the passengers soon find out that the bank account is in Bill Marks' name. The thing that I really enjoyed about the film is how it ropes you in at the start with the threat to kill someone every twenty minutes. And the film also ropes you in when Bill starts to suspect that even his partner Rick Hammond (Anson Mount) might be involved in the threat. This then leads up to a punch pounding fight scene between Bill and Rick in the aeroplane bathroom. And the thing that makes this fight scene really good is the fact that its in an original place and also the fact that its in a small space which makes it very hard for Bill to dodge a punch. I also liked the ingenius plot twists which keep you guessing and keep you right on the edge of your seat. Especially at the end were I was glued to the film. But even though there are some plot twists the film is a bit predictable at the beginning. And I don't think the film would be quite as good second time round, because when you watch it tge second time you know what the twists, you know who is behind it and the suspense filled scenes don't have the same gripping effect. But overall this film is great and I would give it an 8

One of the best horror sequels, if not the best horror sequel ever and one of the main reasons for that is because unlike most horror sequels it is original and scary. Another good thing about this film is that it ropes you in at the beginning by picking up from were the first one left off and throughout the film it explains a lot about the first one, for example it explains why the ghostly old woman decided to haunt Josh. Like the first one this film focuses on the Lambert family, who are now trying to find out who or what killed Elise (Lin Shaye.) And they also soon find out that the ghosts that were haunting them in the first film aren't done with them yet. But even though at first the film builds up suspense and gets more scary at a very fast pace, towards the last half hourthe film goes a bit downhill and tries to focus more on action than on horror, which I thought wasn't a very good idea. Another bad thing about the last half hour is that at times it got a bit confusing and a bit hard to follow. I think my favourite part in the film is when Lorraine (Barbara Hershey), Specs (Leigh Whannell), Tucker (Angus Sampson) and Elise's friend, Carl (Steve Coulter) are trying to find out more about the old woman thatis haunting Josh and they go to her old address where she lived when she was a child. I like this scene because it keeps you on the edge of your seat with a mixture of action, horror and suspense. I thought it was particularly suspense-filled in one bit were Specs and Tucker find a mysterious little girl in one of the bedrooms. I would recommend this film to people who liked the first Insidious and to people who like horrors that will make you jump out of your skin. And I would give this film an 8 out of 10. And if you asked me to choose between Insidious and Insidious 2, I don't think I would be able to choose, they're both as good as eachother.

If you like Shaun of the Dead then you'll love Zombieland. It is the best zombie-film yet and as well as being filled with horror, gore and action it is also filled with comedy. One great thing about the film which really stands out is the writers choice of characters. For example the main charcter, Columbus, (Jesse Eisenberg) is a very good charcter because he's scared of loads of things like the rags people use to clean tables. These silly fears that Columbus has make him seem weak and keep the viewer wondering if he'll survive Zombieland. Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) and Wichita (Emma Stone) are also great characters who keep you interested because they're not very trustworthy, which makes you wonder which is harder for the last survivors of Zombieland to trust eachother or for them to survive the flesh-eating zombies? The film also shows you the personality of these charcters in a very unique and entertaining way. It shows the personality of Columbus in a funny and action-packed scene which ends with him being chased by a zombie. This chase scene is not only action-packed but also funny and very gory. The film also shows the personality of Little Rock and Wichita in a very unique and funny way which tells us what they used to do before the world got taken over by zombies. This scene is funny but there is no action or gore in it which the viewer might be expecting after they've seen the gory way Columbus' personlity was introduced. So this scene is funny but it can leave the viewer feeling unsatisifed. The film's plot is also quite simple which stops the viewer from feeling confused and lost. The plot is that the world has been taken over by zombies and Columbus is one of the last survivors. Soon Columbus finds Tallahasse (Woody Harrelson) who is also a great character because he is seen as a man who is hell-bent on killing zombies and also has a big weakness. Together they find Little Rock and Wichita just after an exhilirating fight scene between Tallhasse, Columbus and three hungry zombies, who are trying to get to a place which is rumoured to have no zombies in it. But one bad bit of the film is shortly after the scene where the gang decide to live in Bill Murray's house. After this scene the film gets very slow and starts to lack action. Although during these scenes the film does try to keep the viewer entertained by throwing in a few funny jokes. On the other hand the end scenes of the film more than make up for this boring mistake. During these last scenes the viewer is kept on the edge of their seat by the thrilling chase scenes which are made even better by the magnificent special effects. These scenes re-emphasise how dangerous Zombieland is and leave you wondering if the four will survive. I would give this film 9/10 and I defintely would recommend it to fans of Shaun of the Dead and other horror/comedy films.

If you thought the life of a retired spy was boring just wait until you see this amazing fast-paced action film. In this film Liam Neeson plays a retired spy called Brian who lets his daughter, Kim, (Maggie Grace) and her friend Amanda (Katie Cassidy) go on atrip to Paris. But shortly after arriving in Paris Kim and Amanda get kidnapped which makes Brian promise that he'll get his daughter back. Will her live up to his promise or will he die trying? The film keeps the viewer wondering whether or not Brian will live up to this promise by emphasising over and over again that he only has a few hours before his daughter disappears forever. At the beginning of the film Brian is introduced as a man who loves his daughter, which shows that he will do anything to get her back. And when he arrives in Paris the viewer gets the impression that even though Brian is retired he hasn't forgotten the skills he learnt in hand to hand combat. I got this impression when Brian got ninvoled in a fight scene just moments after he arrived in Paris. At the beginning the film ropes you in with some light comedy and a very brutal fight scene. And in order to make sure you don't get bored of the light comedy the film also adds some suspense as soon as Kim arrives in Paris, and after this the action doesn't stop. My favourite scene in the movie has got to be when Brian tracks the man who took his daughter to a house in Paris.This is my favourite scene because even though it starts off calm it isn't long before Brian is involved in yet another gun-fight which also involves some brutal fighting which is sure to make the viewer say "Ouch that's gotta hurt!" As well as a lot of action this film also has a lot of gore which is shown in the intense fight scenes and in one very horrific torture scene. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes fast-paced action films and I would rate it 8/10.

Have you ever been walking home one night and thought that your life might be totally different if you walked the long way home instead of taking the short cut? If your answer to this question is yes then you should definitely watch Sliding Doors which is real treat for people who like Romantic film and Romantic Comedies. Sliding Doors shows how different your life could really be if you just walked a different way home. It shows it by telling you how different Helen’s (Gwyneth Paltrow) if she had have caught the train to how different her life is when she doesn’t catch the train. The film draws you in at the beginning when Helen tells a very funny joke about where she works. This draws you in because it introduces the theme of comedy which helps the film appeal to a wider audience. The film also draws you in at the beginning by showing you how different the two lives really are. It shows this when, in the life were Helen catches the train home and gets home just in time to catch her boyfriend Gerry (John Lynch) in bed with another woman called Lydia (Jeanne Tripplehorn.) But in the life were Helen doesn’t catch the train home she arrives home just after Lydia has left and Gerry has a lucky escape. This draws you in because it emphasises just how different your life can be if you make a very small change. As well as comedy the film is also good because some of the scenes are very well done. This is particularly true in a scene where there is a boat race. In this scene you see both lives at the same time which again shows just how different they really are. The film also has some very good actors in it. One of them being Gerry’s friend Russell (Douglas McFerran) who plays a very good character in the film. Russell is a very good character because Gerry talks to him quite a bit and this helps the viewer to understand what kind of a character Gerry is and how he feels about having an affair with Helen. But the film isn’t good in every way because it is supposed a romantic comedy and I think that a romantic comedy should have an equal amount of romance and comedy. But I think this film has more romance in it which is especially true towards the end of the film. This amount of romance doesn’t work well for the end of the film which I thought was a bit too upsetting and I would have preferred a happier ending. On the other hand there are some good things about the ending, for example it does leave the door open for a sequel. But overall the film is quite good and very funny in some bits and I would rate 6/10 and recommend it to anyone who likes either romantic films or romantic comedies.

If you like heist films that are filled with suspense and action then you’ll love the French film, Rififi. The film is about an aging gangster called Tony le Stephanois (Jean Servais) who reluctantly decides to team with 2 of his friends and a safecracker, called Cesar (Jules Dassin), and do one last job after he’s just been released from a five-year prison sentence. But the heist isn’t easy, the hardness of the job is particularly emphasised when Tony shows how sensitive the alarm system in jewellery shop, they plan to rob, is. Overall most of the film kept me interested right up until the last minute. But scenes in the film were a bit slow and seemed unrelated to the rest of the movie. And I think these scenes made the film too long and they should have been shortened down or deleted altogether. I also think the film title is poorly chosen. On the other hand most of the film was filled with action and suspense, my favourite scene in the film is the heist which had me sitting on the edge of my seat and hoping that the alarm wouldn’t go off. Shortly after this scene the film also kept me interested by showing that the robbers weren’t safe even after the heist seemed to be successful. The film also got me interested at the beginning by showing Tony as a frail character who had just been released from a five-year prison sentence. This got me interested because it made me think that he may be too old and too weak to rob a jewellery shop with a very complicated alarm system. I would recommend this film to anyone who is interested in Heist film that are filled with suspense and action and I would rate it 6 out of 10.

If you thought Scream was scary then this summer 7 little words will give you the biggest scare of your life. The film starts by looking at a group of four friends who are celebrating the fact that Helen (Sarah Gellar) has won a beauty pageant. The party is going great until the four friends decide to take a drive and accidentally run over a man. Not wanting to report the crime the four friends decide to throw the man in the river. But just before they throw him in the river the man wakes up but luckily for the group of friends after he wakes up he falls in the river and disappears into the murky depths. After this the friends seem tohave gotten away with it until a year later one of them, Julie, (Jennifer Love Hewitt) recieves a letter which reads "I know what you did last summer." From this moment on the four friends find themselves in a revenge story where the killer is taunting them at first and then horrifically killing them one by one. Even though the film is a bit slow at the start there are some very scary parts in it like when one of the Julie is driving and she hears a scratching sound coming from her boot. So she opens the boot and inside is her friend's dead body covered in crabs. This scared me because at first I thought it was going to be a false-scare but then I saw the dead body and almost jumped out of my seat. My favourite scene in the film is when Julie is trapped on a boat and is getting chased by the killer. This is a good chase scene because not only does the killer nearly catch her on more than one occasion but also you get the feeling that the killer will catch her eventually because the boat is the middle of the water so you get the feeling that she can't run from the killer forever. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes horror/action films with a bit of gore. And I would rate this film 7/10.

If you want a film that won't scare you to help you sleep at night than don't watch this film. But if you want a film that will make you shake with fear and make you never want to turn the light off again then watch this film. The film is about family of 5 who move to a new house which seems to be fine at first but then the wife, Renai (Rose Byrne) starts seeing ghostly figures and hearing eerie voices. And when the youngest son, Dalton (Ty Simpkins) falls into an eternal sleep the family decides to call a woman, Elise (Lin Shaye), who is an expert in dealing with ghosts. But soon after calling this woman the family find out a terrible secret which is that it isn't the house that's haunted it's something much worse. In this film it was hard to choose my favourite scene because there's lots of parts in it that make you jump. One part that made me almost jump out of my skin is the part were the husband, Josh, (Patrick Wilson) is in a room with four ghosts who seem motionless but then the ghosts disappear and reappear right infront of his face. The film also ropes you in at the beginning when it shows scary images during the credits and the film also keeps you interested until the end when there is a terrifying twist. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes a good horror film that makes you jump out of your seat in almost every scene. And I would rate this film 8/10.

The Hangover is an outrageously funny film, with scenes that'll have you wetting yourself with laughter. I can't really think of anything bad to say about this film it doesn't even start off slow or get boring towards the end like some comedies do. The Hangover is about Doug (Justin Bartha) who is about to get married so he decides to have a stag party with 3 of his friends in Las Vegas. But when they wake up after the stag party with pounding headaches that make it impossible to remember anything from the night questions start to arise like, why is there a tiger in the bathroom? why is there a baby in the cupboard? And most importantly where's the groom? Recovering from the worst hangover ever the 3 friends embark on a mission to discover what happened last night and hopefully find the groom before it's too late. But this mssion leads them down a path of drunken weddings, taser guns and stolen police cars. The film gets you interested straight away with an opening scene telling you what happens near the end of the film. This scene shows the 3 groom's friends telling the bride that they've lost her future husband! This scene gets you interested because you start to wonder were the groom is and weather or not they'll find him. This scene is also interesting because it introduces a theme of mystery which makes the film appeal to a wider range of viewers. My favourite scene has got to be when Alan, one of Doug's friends, (Zach Galifianads) finds a tiger in the bathroom. This scene is very funny because when his response shows just how stupid and hungover he is. My favourite character has also got to be Alan because not only is he really funny in the tiger scene but he is also funny in other scenes like when he is getting measured for the suit he's going to wear at the wedding and he makes a very rude comment to the suit fitter. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoy comedie and I would rate it 9/10 the only reason that I wouldn't give it a 10 is because I prefer action movies to comedy movies.

If you like films with gory fight scenes and suspense-filled chase scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat, then you’ll love Doomsday. Doomsday is about a killer virus which spreads through Scotland in 2008 and now, 30 years later, its come back. In order to stop this virus from spreading to the rest of Britain, a wall was built along the English/Scottish border in 2008. At first this seemed to stop the virus from spreading but then in 2035 the virus came back and spread across London. Luckily survivors have been found in Scotland, which means there must be a cure. And now its up to a high ranking spy called Sinclair (Emma Cleasby) to lead a group of soldiers into Scotland to find this cure. But once inside Scotland, the survivors that the soldiers encounter aren’t very friendly and its not long before the group of soldiers are involved in a gory gun-fight, which leaves the viewer wondering not only if they’ll find a cure but also if they’ll make it out of Scotland alive. The film gets you interested right from the start by introducing the virus as horrific and gory when we see an infected person with horrible skin mutations. As well as introducing the virus in a great way, Sinclair is also introduced in a great scene which shows just how well trained a spy she is. The special effects in this scene make the gun-fights seem gory and blood-filled. My favourite scene in the film is the car chase at the end which is filled with comedy, action and gore. This is my favourite scene because it kept me on the edge of my seat and the special effects in this scene made the crashes look painful, realistic and explosive. I would recommend this film to anyone who loves gory action films with a bit of a funny side and I would rate this film 8/10.

If you like a thriller filled with action , mystery and suspense then you’ll love “Dark City.” The film is about a man called J. Murdoch (Rufus Sewell) who wakes up one night at the scene **** murder with no memory. After this horrific awakening questions soon start to arise like why is there no daylight in the city, where he’s awoken? Who are these pale men who seem to control everything? And, most importantly, is J. Murdoch really capable of murder? Even though these questions bring in a theme of mystery at times they also leave the viewer feeling confused and disinterested. But the suspense and action more than make up for this mistake. One of my favourite suspense-filled action scenes is where J. Murdoch is getting chased across rooftops by these strange pale men. The special effects in this scene fill it suspense and horror, which will leave you on the edge of your seat. And the slow-motion camera effects are used in a very good way when J. Murdoch jumps from roof to roof. In this film Rufus Sewell also shows that he is a very good actor by showing us that not only can he play the role of a bad guy like he does in “A Knight’s Tale,” but he can also play the role **** guy. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes action films with a bit mystery and would this film 7/10.

Batman Forever is an amazing action packed film with more gadgets than some James Bond films. The film has a great way of introducing the main characters. For example in the opening scene the film introduces Two Face, (Tommy Lee Jones) by showing how evil he is when he kills one of his own henchmen and tries to kill a cop. This opening scene also introduces Batman (Val Kimmer) as heroic because he saves the cop's life. Although I felt that the cop in this scene wasn't a very good actor. But the scene ends on a high note when Two Face escapes alive and this makes you wonder how Batman will stop him. The film has quite a simple plot where Batman tries to stop the evil Two Face and his insane side kick, the Riddler. This simple plot stops the viewer from feeling lost and confused like they may do in a film with a complicated plot.Another example of the great way the film introduces characters is the scene where the Riddler (Jim Carrey) is introduced. The Riddler is introduced in a good way because when he writes his 1st riddle it fills the viewers mind with mystery and a sense of trying to figure it out before the end of the film. When Jim Carrey plays the Riddler the role is unique and makes you realize just how good an actor Jim Carrey really is because as well as playing a great comedian he can also play other roles. In this role The special effects are also very good in a car chase scene where Two-Face's henchmen chase Batman in his bat mobile. In this scene the special effects make the driving stunts in the car chase seem very realistic. But the action in this film can sometimes seem too violent which might shock the viewer because the film is only rated PG. On the other hand the film does keep the viewer interested until the last scenes where Batman has to make a life changing decision and when the Riddler threatens to tell the whole world who Batman is. I would recommend this film to young adults and anyone who likes a good superhero film. I would rate the film 9/10.

If you like action films packed will explosive special effects then Battleship will blow you away. In this film the explosions are even more realistic than the ones in 12 Rounds. But the film isn't always great, the beginning does lack in action. And the film also gives the viewer a bit too much information at the beginning. This is bad because it can cause the viewer to become confused and lose interest. Although the beginning makes up for its lack of action by introducing a very funny shop-lifting scene. The lack of action at the beginning also gives the film a chance to introduce the characters and the plot, which is good because this helps the viewer to feel more involved in the film. The film is about a group scientists who create a device that allows them to communicate with a planet that is similar to ours. But when they do communicate the planet sends five spaceships that are armed with guns and aliens, to our planet. Luckily the ship that is used to communicate crash lands into Hong Kong and is destroyed so now the four remaining ships have to use our device to communicate, with their home planet, which can only send one message per day. The other four ships land in the middle of the ocean where they are soon met by a group of Navy Destroyer ships. As I said before, the film does lack in action at the beginning but once the action starts it doesn't stop. The action starts when the Navy Destroyer ships meet the spaceships in the middle of the ocean. In this scene special effects are used to show how advanced the aliens' weapons are. Also in this scene slow-motion effects are used to show how close some of the explosives are to hitting the navy ships. As well as explosive action scenes this film also has some great fight scenes. I think the best fight scene is when one of the aliens gets on one of the Navy Destroyer ships and in order to stop their ship from sinking the soldiers have to fight the alien. The thing that makes the fight interesting is that the alien is an armoured suit and the soldiers don't have any armour on at all. The scene also keeps the viewer interested with some comedy and an explosive ending. But this fight scene is nothing compared to my favourite scene which is near the end of the movie, when the remaining soldiers are forced to use a 70 year-old battleship to fight against one of the spaceships. This scene is great because it builds up suspense by showing how advanced the aliens' weapons are and also when the captain of the ship, Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch), uses a unique technique to fight against the aliens, which builds up suspense. I would recommend this film to anyone who like action films with great special effects, comedy and suspense and I would rate this film 9 out of 10.

If you're looking for a laugh out loud romantic comedy, then I wouldn't recommend this one because even though it has some very funny bits in it, which I could relate to. It also is a bit too romantic at times and it also drags on fir a bit too long. The film is about 3 friends and 1 of which, Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) has just divorced from his wife Vera (Jessica Lucas.) And shortly after this event the 3 friends make a pact to stay single for as long as possible. But as you can probably guess this goes wrong when Jason (Zac Effron) meets Ellie (Imogen Poots) and when Daniel also starts getting attracted to his female wingman, Chelsea (Mackenzie Davies.) But even though this part of the film is a bit predictable, what's not predictable is the hilarious situations that these 3 friends get themselves involved in. The film also offers a good perspective on relationships from a guy's poibt of view. Unfortunately there are also a few scenes which I found boring because they were a bit too romantic. One of the funniest scenes in the film is when Jason gets invited to meet Ellie's parents at a dress up party which he mis-interprets as meaning a fancy dress party. And I don't wanna give too much away but the costume that Jason wears is very funny and inappropriate. But overall the film was too soppy and romantic for me and I think it would have been better if it was a bit shorter. So overall I would give this film a 6 out of 10.
