This was the free game this month on PS4. While I generally don't really delve into the new games, this one was on my list. I love the fact, no finish line, just knock out your opponents. Add your own music to the mix, and you have a non-stop adrenaline rush. I am enjoying this game. Play a few hours of it a night, just trying to master the tricks and other features of the game. Simple but loads of fun! I gave it a 9 out of 10, hopefully more maps come out, then I'll bump up the rating to 10.

Update: They had the foundation and built upon it. Thank you Hello Games. Score of 8 changed to 10 It's unfortunate that this game falls flat on it's face from the get go. It has MASSIVE potential to be an amazing Space Faring Sim on PS4. The folk at Hello Games did a great job, but I feel the game is not finished, yet alone half finished. The hype surrounding this game was it's downfall. Many items/features/options that were shown and stated did not appear in the final release of the game. I hope they are coming (and for free, good to deliver on what you promise). I plan to hold on for a little to see where this takes me. So far, it's a game I play when I am tired of the violence of the other games I play. Something to chill with in the evening, keeping me busy exploring the systems I have already discovered. Not something you can play for hours and hours on end like most other games. The foundation for an amazing game is laid, let's see if Hello Games decides to build on it, or leave it flat.

I spend more time looking for/drinking/eating/cooking than anything else. Should have been called Food 76 A little upsetting when you are working through a quest/building and the game crashes. Only to restart, your resources you used to get there are gone, but your progress is reset to zero. Really?? Hitboxes need work. Point blank, shooting a shotgun at Robot/Feral/Scorched and miss entirely? Is this an episode of the A-Team? Am sorely disappointed with this. As someone mentioned earlier, if this was an addon for Fallout 4, it would have been great and truly enjoyable as a single player experience. As multiplayer, with the amount of issues and poor mechanics, it's subpar at best. Add an offline mode with NPC's, deeper quests and I'm sold. Barring boring game play, eternal spawning events that are more a nuisance and obstacle, the scenery is incredible. I like the new creatures and weapons. But the game has a LONG way to go to make me want to play it for hours on end. Right now, 1-2 hrs is all I can muster. One quick note, I was foolishly under the guise the BETA was to fix and repair, knowing now, it was merely an early access (which progress via trophies didn't port over in some instances) forewarning of what was going to be. I feel a bit foolish for purchasing the Digital Tricentennial version and the guise of a whole brand new game. Shame on me. Bethesda, you really dropped the ball on this one.

Maybe I'm nostalgic, since I played this during my early teens in the mid Eighties, or maybe its the amount of content the current game has to offer. Elite Dangerous is still my primary game almost a year after launch. I play the game how want to, without the constraints of being forced down tunnels. Exploring is relaxing, mining is risky and Bounty Hunting full of action... and still lots more to do! A++ in my books.

Ah memories of my late Twenties with too much time. Duke is back in his original form and witty banter. Finally for the Console, and much easier to play with a PS4 controller. -1 Point for the "updated graphics mode". They (Gearbox) could have went a bit deeper with the two graphics modes. Offer either Original mode (w/1996 look) or Modern with updated graphics/shading etc. Still a solid game and reminds me how far games have come in the last 20 years. If you are a long time Duke fan, this is a must. Hail to the King Baby!

So far, so good. I picked up my reserve copy yesterday, and since it was a rainy day, decided to plunk down on the couch and test it out. Impressive! Good story line and graphics, wow, very nice. It's nice to play a game without having to look over your shoulder every 2 seconds. The narration of the Story line I found rather soothing. If you are Trophy Hunting, this is not a game for you. There are none to be had. Simply enjoy the game for what it is. For something different, visually impressive this is a game for you!
