For its age this game holds up very well. It has a very unique style and charm that belongs almost solely to this game, although you can sense a somewhat shallower version of its charm in the other games in the franchise if you know what I mean. It's filled with unique and entertaining content that I still come back to after 10 years of playing, and a lot of replayability. The original PVZ has the best casual gameplay I've run into; it doesn't get boring but is never stressful. I also want to point out that this does not have any of the problems other tower defense games have, so much so that I didn't even realize it was one until around my 8th year of owning the game. Overall an amazing game, just short of a masterpiece (which I believe if the original release included multiplayer it could be considered a 10/10).
There are two things that make this game special; that it's free and the community. You get a lot of bang for your buck, and the community is filled with all different kinds of toxic, eccentric basement dwellers and college kids that make the experience very entertaining.
A masterpiece **** (which is something I do not say lightly). All I have to say is DO NOT spoil it for yourself, because if you do your experience will be greatly hampered. There's too much to cover so I'll try to rate all the things that make it so special. Music: 10/10 Story: 9/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Style: 10/10 Creativity: 10/10 Memorability: 10/10 There are (at the time of writing this) no other games out there like Inscryption, so please note that this is an experience that you most likely cannot get anywhere else.
Minecraft is unlike anything else that has been released, regardless of whether you like it or not. The best way I've ever heard someone describe it was "playing Minecraft is more like an experience than a game".
This game is a major breakthrough for the Sonic franchise and I have very high hopes for where this will go from here. However, this game is not a 10, or a 9, or an 8, or even a 7/10 and giving a 6/10 could be seen as somewhat generous, even coming from the perspective of someone who has been waiting for a Sonic game of this quality for a long time. There are a variety of issues with this game, such as many game-breaking bugs and the worst pop-in I've ever seen in a video game, the combat is not very good, the locations are functionally the same, etc. However, this is still a huge stepping stone for this franchise and is finally a Sonic game that leans more towards good, but on its own as just a video game this is nothing special.
