This game, although it can be headache when facing the computer is a gem of a party game. The RPG elements add to the feel of the game. In a short review this game is fun, especially with friends. I would suggest anyone who has friends to sit down and enjoy themselves. If you don't have friends this isn't the game for you.

This game blew mah goddamn mind!! I'm a Zelda fan and always have been it's true, but I can admit when a Zelda game is bad. *cough* Spirit Tracks. *cough* However I have yet to find a true handheld Zelda game that stuck out to me. I tried a lot in my past and they never seemed to really cut it for me. Recently my fiancee handed me Minish Cap and I gave it a try. IT BLEW MAH GODDAMN MIND!!! I used to believe I knew my top three Zelda titles. 1. Ocarina of Time 2. Twilight Princess 3. A Link to the Past However, after playing through Minish Cap I finally realized that my childhood, an nostalgia would have to get in the backseat of the car and shut up and let Minish Cap drive. I have since changed my favorite list. 1. Minish Cap 2. Ocarina of Time 3. Twilight Princess Let me run you through as to why this game blew mah goddamn mind. 1st off...SWORD LASERS!!! I have missed the ability to fire sword lasers, and to finally see them given back to you in Minish Cap was just so overwhelmingly awesome that I forgot all about Ocarina of Times **** charged spin crap. Now of course you have to learn to fire your sword lasers but I don't ****'s worth it. 2nd off...Vaati!! I love Ganon as much as the next guy but it was super refreshing to finally see a new bad guy, and I think he does it well. He's evil to a certain point that he's kind of creepy, and where Ganon has failed multiple times Vaati pulls off his plan the first time. I love him, he's a manipulator, not a power house like Ganon. 3rd **** gameplay is rock solid and a serious upgrade from old Link to the Past. I love figuring out how to apply all of my awesome items, and I believe remote bombs should have been in every Zelda game ever. This gameplay is so rock solid that I have yet to get frustrated with something not working the way it should. Much like in Ocarina of Time...your stupid **** boomerang always flew in a different pattern every time. This did not do anything like that. 4th **** remake of the original Zelda dungeon theme...just...blew mah goddamn mind!! That's also to say the music was some of the best I've ever heard. The music is the best in the Zelda series as far as I'm concerned. I had no idea my GameBoy could produce such lovely melodies. 5th **** blew mah goddamn mind!! Safe to say if you have a GameBoy or even a DS get Minish Cap. It will blow your goddamn mind!!

I bought this game NEW, but the code I was given for the added content was invalid, it had strangely expired, that was the first issue right there. Of course that's not the games fault. The rest of the review is however. I remember seeing all the hype that this game was scary. I bought this game because I'm a huge fan of horror and love getting my pants scared off of me. I could recall all of those paid actors being terrified of the game so sadly I purchased it in hopes of getting ****...I don't know...SCARY!! Nope, not from this piece of junk. My absolute biggest gripe was it wasn't scary one bit. I played this thing for about seven hours, which in that time you'd expect something scary to happen. Instead I got chased by a chainsaw guy which wasn't scary in RE4 and wasn't scary here. Got chased by a naked man in a hoodie (not scary), and shot an onslaught of zombies in the face. To be fair the atmosphere looks like a polished version of RE4 and I wonder why? I wonder? The graphics were alright, but nothing to be amazed of, and the characters are all pretty damn bland. Your character is a stoic tool who seems to be pretty damn nonchalant about his current situation. Then you've got the Leslie guy who is the generic link to the evil. Then the rest of the completely forgettable cast whom I have already forgotten. The gameplay is a lot like Resident Evil 4...with worse mechanics. It's funny that a game from the same **** made long ago on the Gamecube can play and look nicer then a game on the PS3/4. I was not a fan of RE4, because it ruined the franchise, so I was not a fan of this. To be honest the first Resident Evil on PS1 is far more terrifying then The Evil Within. Also after 7 hours of story I ended up not knowing what the **** was going on. It was a giant mess. I had very little clue as to what was actually going on. In the end I felt the game wasn't what I wanted, or expected. It was not scary, end of story.

Sonic Colors

Sonic the Hedgehog is by far my favorite character of all time. He's cool, he's a badass, and the best thing of ****'s fast. Of course as of late for some reason Sonic has been sort of on the slow side. Running at speeds my grandmother's car could perform, instead of blowing past modern day fighter jets. Sonic Colors however lets you relive the speed of his past in either super awesome 3D or super awesome 2D. The Blue Blur is once again just that, a blue blur. Speeding through stages so fast you can hardly see them is a treat, but if you stop and look at the stages they all look extremely nice, especially for the Wii. Sonic is back at sonic speeds in Sonic Colors. Nothing beats running through these gorgeous stages at mach speeds, and when it's Sonic doing it that just makes it all the nicer. Now being a Sonic fan does not mean I'm merely saying this because he's the man. In truth because of my love for the hedgehog I tend to be much harder on him then others. I know when a Sonic title **** and I will bash those **** ones until the cows come home. This one however is one of the absolute best Sonic titles yet. It's even better in my opinion then the original Sonic the Hedgehog and can stand next to my favorite Sonic title, which is Sonic & Knuckles. The color powers you get from the little aliens (wisps) makes the game so much more in depth then any Sonic title before it. Now you have multiple ways of getting to your goals, which just makes things awesome. So you want to go super fast? Laser power for you. So you want to jet yourself into the air and freefall back down? Rocket power for the win. The color powers add so much more to the game and way past being a simple gimmick. The stages implement them well and make even the blue hedgehog seem all the faster. As for music the music is amazing. That opening song now plays in my car pretty often, and even the stage select music is cool. Stages have wonderful themes that all match the stage itself and they just add to the overall feel and speed of the game. In short the music is nothing if not amazing. I could probably listen to many of the planets music for hours and still not have heard enough. Some of the best music from a Sonic title and that says a lot as Sonic's music has always been awesome. As far as the story goes I quite like it. It's Dr. Robotnik up to his old shenanigans and Sonic needs to stop him. It's a good formula because at least Robotnik tries something different every time. You know...instead of kidnapping the same princess and getting stopped by the same fatso. I can't talk about the story as that is considered a spoiler, but once again it's nice. I liked it and once again you get to watch Sonic do what he does best. Smart off. As for graphics it is amazingly beautiful as far as the Wii goes. The Wii is quite used to hashing out ugly messes that look like they were created for the PS2. This game however with it's smooth animation, clear backgrounds, and amazing looking effects is jaw dropping for the Wii. I can say it is the prettiest game I've seen for this system yet. Even Sonic himself looks pretty smooth and dare I say, smexy? Watching him dart about on the stages is a blast. In the end this Sonic is well worth getting. If you're new to the series this is a good way to get into it. If you're a fan of the old Sonic then look no further. The Blue Blur is here, and he's proving to his fans that he's still got what it takes to beat up Baldy McNosehair.

I just sat down and played this game from beginning to end in a few hours or maybe not even that, but even with that said I believe this game has enough emotion to impact someone on a different level. This may be their first game but from what I've seen...bravo. In it's own way the game is beautiful. The visuals are gorgeous and although made on the Unity engine which is notorious for making some of the ugliest crap ever this came out a true pleasure to the eyes. Watching the different scenes, and different areas go by was a treat. Of course the visuals were beautiful but that's not where the game excels in. The gameplay is pretty basic. You move your bird or as I called her...Bird with your right analog stick. Then you move your fish or as I like to call him...Fish with the left analog stick. You set them over their colored target and basically fly through said target. It's very basic but it ends up becoming very challenging a nice rhythm based game. Of course there isn't much to say about the gameplay. It's basic, it's addicting, it's fun, and it even has challenges in case you want to get more gameplay out of it. All in all it's fun, pure and simple fun. Not run around and shoot at things with your unkillable numbskull who has rechargeable health kind of fun. (Which by my standards isn't fun.) It's a more relaxing, more enjoyable fun, like Journey, or Flower. Still this isn't the best part of this game. The real splendor of this game is the beautiful soundtrack. The sounds that came from out of my T.V. were almost tear jerking. The music is gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. I loved every track, and I would buy a soundtrack CD in a heartbeat. The music is the best part by far. From soft lullaby's to fast upbeat almost trancelike songs. I swear this game has some of the best music ever heard. Much like the mentioned before games Journey, and Flower this game is on par with them as far as beautiful tracks are concerned. I recommend this game for anyone who has emotions and isn't dead inside and likes to shoot at things all day.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

I believe in all rights this is one of the best Castlevania I've ever played, and I've played just about every one of them. (This includes Castlevania 64.) As far as the level designs go it's pretty much Castlevania. Some areas with tons of floating platforms and a segment that always has giant turning cogs. This of course isn't a problem as it just feels like a Castlevania. (Much unlike Lord of Shadows which feels like a God of War wanna-be.) The two main roles of the game, Jonathan and Charlotte are both interesting characters who play off of one another. Like Charlotte's way of playfully **** at Jonathan or his insecurity that she helps him with. Charlotte has an adorable way to point out his flaws, and he has an adorable way to point out the horribly obvious. I believe that these two characters are better fleshed out then most Castlevania characters who just kind of waltz around and smack things with a whip in a silent stupor. As far as the story goes it breaks away from the generic Castlevania storyline which is nice to see. The main protagonist for the longest duration of the game (Brauner) has entirely different goals then most other enemies. (Who are not Dracula.) Of course for the sake of not spoiling anything I'll refrain from going any further. It was just nice and refreshing to see a new idea for Castlevania instead of some cult raising Dracula. Or some cultist priest raising Dracula. Or some other cult derived from the past cult of cultists who worship a cult of resurrecting Dracula. (See the pattern?) Pretty much...there is no cult. Then we boil it all down to the gameplay. Switching between Charlotte and Jonathan is a nice addition. Charlotte's spells make grinding for items much quicker, and everyone who's played Castlevania will be grinding for items. As for Jonathan he's the man you use for the boards you'll be traveling to. Then you switch back to Charlotte to annihilate the bosses. All in all, it's not a gimmick but a new way to play your Castlevania. In the **** gameplay is pretty much Castlevania. Before it got bad of course. (Insert lame God of War wanna-be title here with giant roided out meathead as the protagonist.) So, with that **** you like Castlevania, if you like interesting plots, if you like engaging characters, and if you like that good old Castlevania soundtrack then this is the game for you. If you own a DS you should definitely get this title. Also, I forgot to mention but the sprites look very nice as well. Pretty game for the DS. If you like mashing the square button a hundred times without having to worry about dying...then I feel for you.
