I tried to like this game. I really tried. I bought a lot earlier, a long time ago. I started and tried to get this to work before they hit DLC, hoping it would get better, but it got worse and worse. "Festering Skyes" was the death of it for me, with a shovel of lime thrown over a stinking corpse. DLC FS is an idiocy that sadly resembles a very bad old Atari game using a recent GPU. In fact, those were better because they were what they could be. This one, october/2022, lacks control and speed, each upgrade has to be tested and it's expensive, very expensive, everything is very expensive. There is no balance of costs and earnings on missions. Attending the factions of idiots who are trying to kill themselves while the world is under terror is the biggest of the stupidities that leads to think better monsters win because these humans really deserve to die, unwilling to help one or another faction. It's the end of this game for me.
This game ****. Gameplay is complete failure. Try playing with an xbox control in a PC that is running big games (AC Odyssey is an example) and you will cry in pain when you die because you are an imbecile and don't hit a creeping bug with a shovel. I took my money and tore up with this game. I could not get a refund. I tried but wasted my time trying to like this piece of trash. Waste of money and my time with the download and the game. I gave up and uninstalled after 20h forever lost and headache gained.
This is a puzzle game with defined objectives. You should know this and do not expect surprises. This is simple and works very well for those who like puzzle. It's a different Hitman for a different public.
I played 3 separate games and now I'm excited about the start of this new compiled version. After playing 28 hours using two different characters I write this criticism to praise the work of developers. Everything is improved. Character classes that are available are sufficient to achieve plenty of adventures in the game. The skill tree is efficient and clear. If you fail there are always return options. The growth of the degree of difficulty between levels may require some adjustments for improved balance. There are jumps between current levels (big jumps, a canyon). Each level can show power and strength of opponents no comparison to the level of the character. If you change the difficulty of the game, imbalance reverses. We are ant on a level of the game and are giants choose one below. This is annoying. But it does not end with the proposal of the game. Only this needs adjustments. Graphics are very good. Environments load time is fast. I have no problem with online system. There may be, but I played around 30 hours and have not seen happen problems with the online system. Although, I played very little multiplayer to speak of it for sure. My view is directly to the gameplay alone. For this, the game is fully satisfying and fun as it was the first play of the series. I liked it and recommend it.
Too boring only be watching caravan place to place majority of the time. Combat unbalanced AI. Initial campaign with confused and completed without feeling effort objectives, just did not know they were finished ... Bling Bling, completed goal. Wow, what I had to do it?!?!?!? I do not know but I did not look. I played for 10 hours and I'll try one more chance. Without another novelty, the game will go to limbo along with Tropico 5. And I will giving up Kalypso forever.
In short, this is not a new game. It's a patched thing. Cities XXL 'Frankenstein' is grotesque and has no soul. It's a creation of parts of their ancestors. If you are kind, will say this is a patch or DLC to heal the crap that came before. Focus Home Interactive should be banned after presenting this unfortunate contribution to the world of games.
Then immersed in the story is the strongest point of the game that continues where it stopped before. It has expanded skill system and option to start at level 30 lets you develop the game in a more dynamic way, sometimes improving the balance of combat, other times not changing anything in the routine hit-kill-loot. But the life bar falls frighteningly fast. 2 or 3 hits and you are lying dead, even if you try to drink the potion will not have time to see the red bar back up. The main point to justify a middle score (6) is that the game is still a beta test, launched before the time ends. Let the players pay to test and find errors. It is cheaper, is not it? Then release patches correcting and then sell DLCs correcting and rewarding bidder. I see the future of this game (and their creators and their distributors) repeating the past of others. And I do not like what I see.
We are seeing an evolution of XCOM EU for a new game. History repeats almost everything but new things are over it. Some errors will be fixed soon, I believe. Hours of fun guaranteed reaching all success of the original.
